Brings back memories. In 76’ I was a teenager and helped a guy doing scrapping. We climbed over piles. And I grabbed many small items One of the amazing things I saw doing that was a 1904 and 1906 caterpillars. That were used for highway 6 both still ran at that time. In the south west corner of Iowa.
My favorite thing was that 55 Chevy ❤️❤️❤️… but that Cat 10 was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It would cost me $$$ to get that thing to North Carolina 😢 I’d love to have it!
Love these farm cleanups. Old equipment is very interesting. Top four favorites. 1. The old thresher/pull combine. 2. The hit n miss motor with the generator. 3. Single track implement with attachments. 4. The small Caterpillar. I sure hope you save 2, 3, and 4.
A tractor on tracks without a dozer blade is a crawler tractor. Thank you Silas for your high quality videos. I'm learning about the history of an unfamiliar, to me, agricultural region in the U.S. How lucky your kids are to have a dad like you.
The little Caterpillar Ten brings back some good old memories of my first full time employer. The old boy had one of those sitting behind the shop. I don't know what ever happened to it. It was complete but the magneto needed fixed.
The crawler you pulled the tags off of that tool box on the left side is very hard to find, bet all the antique tractor guys are screaming at you. 55 Chevy two door hard top, mega cool.
Silas, been well over a year since I visited your site! This video is awesome in many ways! As usual you keep us busy watching and listening; while you give us the details what’s coming and going on. That big front double forked loader really has its way when it carries off his dead ancestors. You are correct, that was a beautiful place, just seeing the layout and maybe how it was years ago! It was actually a peaceful place of sort to me. Hope to come by more often. Have a safe work day every day.
It never ceases to amaze me about your skill in operating equipment. great job of filming also and looking forward to Part II. Thanks for the entertainment.

I love the old barn finds and farm clean ups you do!! Looking very forward to your next video of anythng you post. You work very hard and share your days with us. As always another fantastic video!
Really liked the GMC grain truck and the old cat 10. The old garden tractor with track was kinda neat. You have to do some reaserch on that one... Farm cleanups are the best.
That little Cat is awesome! Would make a great show piece, or yard art, on the back of that GMC! Those GM cabs are cool, but that truly barn find '55 Chevrolet is amazing. I don't blame them for keeping it!
Hello Silas, hands down the 55 Chevy is my favorite. I was a young teenager back then. Dad had a 54 Ford then. Where we lived in the mountains of East Tennessee a road grader was used on the gravel roads. You could hear that grader coming from about 2 miles away. Thanks for the memories.
You guys earn every penny you make on these jobs. What a thrill it would be to be there helping you for several days getting it all done. True adventure material! Look forward to every video, thank you !
Farm Clean Up - hey - yes - we love that Small Tin Building also very much - it can be straighten out again - very cool looking ! 55 Chevy in that Barn - Dusty - but in Great Condition - love the Interior ! You got some great Farm Equipment Scrap and Dozers etc ! Now we are looking forward to Part 2 - more Goodies to be Removed from that Farm ! Great Video as Usual - loving it ! Many Cheers from us in Australia !!!! Favorite Equipment has to be that Little "Crawler" Dozer !!!!
Silas, you always seem to enjoy your work! you never let setbacks spoil your day. And I love seeing all the things you find. Plus you operate that loader with suck skill
Old CAT Equipment is so desirable by so many enthusiasts. To see this end up in scrap is painful…. However the bright side is it’s making all of the other survivors more valuable.
Did he say that he is definitely going to scrap it? Scrap steel prices are really low right now as well. That's the exact type of thing (heavy, small) that is worth trying to sell to a collector, or to at least wait until scrap gets up to $150-175 per ton again.
This was a great video. Really neat items to see. I would say that building has my interest, want to see what you do with it, if you can get it straightened up. I am amazed at how you can manage to get all the big items out of the trees. And your right about that old video, I randomly saw it and have been hooked ever since seeing it. Your videos, all of them are really enjoyable. Fun music choices and great camera work. Thanks for sharing your time and adventures with us. Peace
greets again from Australia - loved the tiny little catapillar, that would be a collector for sure.... love these types of videos... this is the type that got me into watching all of yours... i don't know if you remember, but i told you about the hemlock (tall weeds that have white flowers like broccoli) in one of your early videos... hope you save the tiny cat...
the tiny cat would never be melted even i love it but dont want it,regarding hemlock i have it near me here in gb nasty nasty stuff, thing is theres warnings every year but people still dont listen, ive seen it 15 foot tall by the river
Thanks Silas, you are lucky to find such cool things at a farm cleanup! I love the little Caterpillar, of course the 55 and also your new youtube office!!!
I love your channel and your videos. The kids being included reminds me of when I was a young Dad. Such precious memories. I will add that '55 Chevy might not be so sentimental to them if a serious buyer came along. A complete 2 door hard top in that kind of condition?! Can you begin to imagine an auction with two motivated buyers?! Tens of thousands easy. But keep up the good work. You have a lovely young family and a great attitude toward life.
Wow that 55 is like the epitome of barn finds, the one everyone dreams of finding. Even if not for sale now, you know where it is, they know it interests you. Things change!
I have been a Tri Five Chevy guy since the 1960's. Always dreamed of finding a 2 dr HT like that one. All I ever found have been 4 dr sedans. That looks very restorable. You can buy all kinds of new parts for it too. That has got to be one of the most popular restoration vehicles there are.
I'm sure your 60 thousand subbers would agree, you offer something different. I've enjoyed your brand for over a year now. Honestly looking at this chore you had, I wouldn't know where to start. I guess that's why you have a channel and I don't. Good Stuff !
My brother I got to give it to you you are a hard-working man a very good operator God bless you and your family and your dad he still working with you
It always amazes me what people abandoned in their groves 50-60 years ago. I can't imagine having 100T of scrap on my property and not at least attempting to get rid of some of it those years when iron was $160+. Things like old trucks, graders, and dozers could have paid a lot of bills if they had sold them before they rotted away.
Silas I'm a Ford man(as I've told you before) but that 55 Chevy is too cool. Sorry that you couldn't get it but I do understand sentimental value, because of that you would have to give so much it wouldn't have enough to make it worth your while. Thanks for the awesome content.
from where i live that old 55 chevy is worth it's weight in Gold.. too bad they won't sell it rather then let the frame rot out from under it sitting on the dirt
Dear Mr. Silas. 👍👌👏 I love this kind of videos. Your loader is definitely a strong one. Hope someone buys that little crawler. It's a really nice and interesting looking hut, I would've saved it too. I'm eagerly looking forward to watch the next part. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health to all of you.
Great as always Silas. I am the same with the old stuff most would see as junk except i lack the acreage to store it. I like to save stuff. The 55 Is my favorite.
i will be 70 in may but i really love your videos cant wait for the next one my favorite scenes are always the property would love it if you could shoot some scenes from a distance showing the route or road leading into from a distance a scene showing a 180 of the trees buildings from a distance thanks for the many hours of enjoyment

Silas the cab off of that greater would be a perfect bus stop shelter for kids.
the roadgrader cab would make a neat well cover or even a school bus stop shelter for kids
I thought the same thing, the cab would have been cool to save

Early, tiny Caterpillar was the most interesting piece.
That one thing you didn't know what it was. Well it looks like an old Hit & Miss engine. That '55 is one hell of a Barn Find.
Great job Silas! Looking forward to Part 2! Best vehicle? The 55 in the barn by far. Very, very cool is the early Cat. So cool, unique and complete!
Loved this video. That baby cat would be fun to get running again.

No Question : The 55 Chev is the best thing I have seen in Years !!!! Stuart in Ontario Canada ........
Caterpillar 10 is my favorite and the one track garden tractor is really interesting. My first time here but not my last, great channel.
