Congrats on 400k Joe! You are one of the most underrated automotive reviewers out there and your joy and enthusiasm for cars really shows. Keep up the great reviews!
So I'm reading comments and concerns over reliability. These refreshed Evoques, the Discovery Sport, and the current Velar have new JLR Ingenium in-house designed engines (Ford Ecoboost engines no more). These are actually pretty reliable overall. Build quality has improved drastically. Last gen Evoque was plasticky, had pretty terrible interior squeaks and rattles, and a crappy transmission. The most prevalent issue with these cars is infotainment glitch issues. Bad lag, no sound from the radio, crashing, black or frozen screens, etc. This is why they're replacing InControl Touch Pro with Pivi Pro. The Evoque will likely get Pivi in the next year or so. One thing to note is there used to be a P300 mild hybrid version with nearly 300HP. The awful turbo lag and lack of power in the P250 was remedied by a small electric supercharger to fill in torque gaps. It was recently discontinued because the take rate was low and covid hit JLR hard. There is an Inline 3 PHEV plug-in overseas, which has been very problematic.
Joe, congratulations on 400K subscribers. You and Lori deserve it because of your passion and hard work ethic! Keep those reviews coming, it's the highlight of my day!👍😍
Aside from the reliability issues I'm hearing...You made an excellent point about connectivity. For 60k, you better have wireless charging, USB connections and all the other perks. I mean, for 10k more, I can get an AMG A45...with huge HP and all those bells n whistles that makes it worthwhile.
People really commenting on its reliability even though they probably own a ‘14 Camry 😭 I know Co-Workers with 2015 Rovers & Evoques with over 50,000 miles with under 3 non-scheduled maintenance trips
I just bought my 2021 in this same model, and my daughter bought her 2020 and she loves her car as well! This car is the best car I’ve ever owned. Thank you Land Rover.
I believe they redesigned it for the 2019 model year. The Evoque has been in production since the summer of 2011 (2012 was the first model year). Back in 2014 my mom leased a leftover 2013 Evoque, my mom wanted a 2014 but of course, you couldn’t tell the difference. The Evoque has been around for a while, and to me it still looks the same, you could hardly tell it was a redesign from the outside.
Congratulations on 400K and keep going my friend your content is great I love your passion for cars and I actually watched your video when you where in last car gathering and I was so happy to see you happy smiling and enjoying yourself out there ! Am a huge fan of your videos sir
The Evoque looks great in my opinion but the pricing is definitely a notch above where it should be. Never mind a Q5, you can get into an SQ5 for the price of this and Audi's base models are much better equipped than Range Rovers base models. The Evoque really slots in with a Q3 or a Mercedes GLB yet comparably equipped is 5-10 thousand dollars more. Again it may be one of the most striking cars on the road but it's hard to justify these RR MSRPs.
@@braveheart9658 everything fine. Once thought the trunk light was broken, but it's part of the interior light which I accidentally switched off. One thing I don't like: as I was driving about 6000km (~4k miles) started to think about oil and recognized that there is some "special" oil for RR (of course double the regular price). Expensive car, but really don't like such customer squeeze out tactics...

It’s definitely a good small luxurious suv I’ve seen it in real life it’s awesome a little bit of plastic on the interior bus that doesn’t matter really good 👍
Rear seat USB ports should be included in any suv, whether body on frame or crossover. Look at the market, kids these days bring their phones or iPads for road trips, keep it charged and keep them happy if they’re tired of looking out into nature or when it’s dark out.
I really love the whole thing about the Evoque. Very beautiful. It's a good thing that they make the fender colour matched with the exterior instead of flat black plastics. My only zonks which is similar to your zonks is that there are no ventilated seats and the USB port for the rear passengers. Here in Malaysia we don't use heated seats very often because the weather here is always hot and sunny around 22°C to 35°C. And ventilated seat is a must. And btw congratulations on your 400k milestone!!
8.9 0 to 6o absolute zonk. Reliability isn’t well known for this particular make. Warranty alone gives me OCD along with the busy infotainment system 😳 The rearview mirror is awesome sauce 🧐 🌮🌭🍕🍟🍔🍪🍩🍦

Well, it might be, if it wasn’t for the mad, insane turbo lag. Perhaps it’s an issue at higher altitude (I’m in Denver), but it is pretty extreme here. Comparing it to BMW (ones with turbo 4 cyl) which seem to have no turbo lag here, I think Land Rover has some research to do.

Like if you do own this car, then you're gonna be like "I do love Range Rover, but I wish there would be some towing capabilities for Jet-skiing, or pulling a camping trailer that is enough for this car". Like how are you gonna have some major fun when it comes to have capabilities for towing?
