    Fewer trims and options >>> glad more manufacturers are going with this formula.

      Agreed. Terrible to buy a new one and take 5 hours to understand what to buy, or even be in the used market for one and find things that has everything but electric or heated seats.

    I take mine to scuba dive sites that can be a long way off the beaten track. So the small size is a big plus, especially with the good off-road ability and the surround 3D cameras. I can get all my gear in and it's comfortable and quiet on the way there and back. For me it's a great fit. Mine is the HSE, one up from this model here and it comes with the pixel auto headlights as standard. Those lights are brilliant, very quick to react and I was surprised they're not legal in the US yet. The fixed panoramic roof doesn't have the center bar so the rear feels a lot more airy with the blind open. The divider bar is just for the sliding roof where the front part opens. The fixed roof also has a bit more headroom.

      Hmm we get less options in the US for 2024. This is the top spec we get. Only S and Dynamic SE. I heard we are getting the full bit for 2025 that Europe gets.

      @@Allcarnews here in UK we can get the full leather interior and the p300 plug-in hybrid too. But word is that late-25 we'll see the new 3rd-gen model with an aluminum body and full EV options.

    I have a 2018 model with the unfortunate 2 ltr diesel engine , for me its not a bad boot space fit 2 mid size suitcase, shoes and some extra bags . I didnt like this model when viewing reviews online but took my car for a recent service and had a look and wow looks so much better in the flesh , I then went outside to look at a older model with the 2 screens like the velar and to be honest they looked old compared to the newer one. Would like to have a drive of the 1.5 ltr petrol / hybrid to see how the speed of the car is when running off the 1.5 engine

    Range évoque c’est la classe dans la sobriété l’inverse total de tous les véhicules aujourd’hui

    Agreed the climate should be separate, too much to navigate on the screen whilst driving. You just want to change climate quickly not navigate through a screen. The dash looks almost bare.

    I wonder if the digital instrument cluster only lets you view Apple Maps or others also like Google Maps?

      I believe it's Apple Maps or the built in navigation

      You can pick from the on-board nav or whatever you have on your phone via Carplay/Android Auto. Google maps works fine.

    Would much rather have an XC60 Recharge for this kind of money. Better materials, style, and MPG/Power. $60K+ for this is just not enough car for the money, and the styling is fine, but nearly anonymous after all these years with the Evoque nameplate.

    The design definitely looks nice and edgy, however the rest of the car (other than the tech) is i would say, rather average to say the least. It's definitely the only range-rover that i would pass on and the one that i wouldn't exactly be the most excited to buy.

    Not a real Range Rover, and that’s why I don’t love it. Was created only to fulfill a market niche. Also, is the maker’s most problematic car. But a great car, for sure it is.
    For me, too small, what makes it not exquisite looking, but it’s a quite nice looking thing.

    • @aKellyBrand
      @aKellyBrand 9 місяців тому +2

      If niches didn't need to get filled then we would all be riding around in the exact same vehicle. That's like saying Ferrari road cars aren't real Ferraris because they were purposely built.

    • @ogearhead2426

      @@aKellyBrandnot really. Range Rover is a car, and Range Rover Sport is its sportier version. Both comfortable, spacious, capable and with characteristic driving feeling and position. For different purposes, buyers and pockets.
      The XC60 is the exact same car as the XC90, but with 5 seats and smaller. As does de Mercedes GLC, GLE and GLS, or X7, X5 and X3.
      The Velar is almost acceptable as a Range Rover, but the Evoque is literally an E-Pace with badge.
      The Evoque repeats the bad formula of GLA and X1, nothing alike its base model cars and missing the makers DNA.

      @@ogearhead2426 in terms of spaciousness and reliability what are the best Land Rover and Range Rover cars in your opinion?

    • @ogearhead2426
      @ogearhead2426 9 місяців тому

      @@theemotionalremix for sure the full size Range Rover has always been (in any model year) the most reliable, spacious and comfortable car. Always had the best engines, needing no big job with belts or chain, best gearboxes, gigantic capability, and nothing really problematic. Most common problems are the electrical ones, normal for luxury cars. Besides really bad ownership or pontual problems caused by something extraordinary, they are reliable. Unprepared/poor people that just buy a bad one for show over exaggerate because the maintenance is costly, and I say it about normal maintenance, like suspension (that every car needs done once in a lifetime, the Range Rover is probably the comfier car available if not a Rolls Royce, so it charges you for that, bigger bills than a Prius, not the worst thing in the world. The Sport from 2014+ starts to be the same, less comfy and spacious, but still one of the comfier cars ever, smaller for those who need/want. Best engines are always the V8 ones, diesel or petrol, that both uses.
      In the Land line, I’d probably say that, depends on the engine, besides the engine, all of them are good cars. But most of them are configured with the TDV6, which I don’t recommend. The V8 Discovery 4 existed, so great car. But the TDV6 or SDV6 tend to be problematic in any model year, I think it only got better on the new Discovery. So in general, I’d say only the Defender and Freelander, those are really reliable and capable, not spacious tho 😂

    For this kind of money, this is bullshit. Just take the same money and buy a Mercedes and see the difference
