2021 Range Rover Evoque Review: Is The 'Baby Range" Worth The Money??

  • This week I spent some time with a 2021 Range Rover Evoque P250 S. I must admit that I once didn't think too highly of the Evoque, but with the MY20' updates that this car received, they have SIGNIFICANTLY improved its overall composition.
    The car rides and handles quite nicely for general commuting purposes, and certainly helps one feel as though they are sitting in the lap of luxury while doing so! Unfortunately there are some losses this car suffers (feature/build) wise, due to the fact that it is indeed the entry level offering of the Land Rover Range Rover line.
    To hear more of my thoughts, see some cool features, and see how this stacks up to the competition value wise... CHECK OUT the video! Oh and how could I forget... the Tall Boy Test :)

    Nice review Reo! I like when you said “baby range” lol - I had a Land Rover once. Worst car I ever owned. Maintenance costs will kill you

    This is not the 2021 model. The hatch door is standard automatic on the 2021 model. Also the buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel are slightly different.

    So I’ve driven my sisters 2017 or 2018 idk which year it is. One of my biggest complaints about it is the back window, it is tiny bruh! I feel like from what I noticed is that there are a lot of blind spots, did you notice that still with this 2021?

    • @SeanGriffith7
      @SeanGriffith7 4 роки тому +1

      Oh okay so you did get to talking about the rear mirror lol

    • @Reoniz
      @Reoniz  4 роки тому +2

      Yessir as you mentioned, visibility is definitely not a strong suit of this of this car, but that digital mirror would probably make quite a difference

    Hey! right now I'm comparing this car to the 2021 BMW 330i, just not sure if I want an suv yet or not. But what would you consider to be a better vehicle for their prices and what they offer?

      It’s definitely far from a deal breaker! I just think it aids in making the Evoque feel that much more like it’s siblings... enjoy your new car :)

  • @luxelife418

    The XC40 feels really cheap inside so wouldn’t pitch it as alternative to this car. Once you spec this to an SE it feels great. Great review, thank you.

    • @Reoniz
      @Reoniz  3 роки тому

      You know I actually disagree... I think pound for pound the XC40 feels great inside, obviously this is a subjective opinion, but sub $50k they're more than comparable to me in regards to build quality and finishes

    • @Reoniz

      Personally I’d take the X3 yes... the Evoque feels a bit more special, the Bimmer feels more solid and capable! I’ve reviewed the X3 as well if you wanna check it out

  • @killerjhul

    So cool review aside from minor details -- not a 2021. It's a 2020. Number two, it wasn't "facelifted" in 2020, it is in an entire new platform, chassis and engine. That car was redesigned from the ground up.
    The extra engine output is due to the mild hybrid drive train. The Velar and Evoque have the new Range Rover Design Language of the upcoming Sport/full size.
    Cool color though! Should have gotten black pack to get rid of those silver letters and accents.
    Seems like it's missing Cold Weather Pack -- why? Sigh

    • @Reoniz
      @Reoniz  4 роки тому +2

      You’re definitely right I accidentally said “facelift” instead of redesign, but I agree, I wish this car had the black pack, would’ve made it look clean forsure!
      You could practically argue the entire line is following the Velar design language, and not the other way around haha
      Appreciate the comment

    • @killerjhul
      @killerjhul 4 роки тому

      @@Reoniz with the Evoque it is easy to convert to black pack. Black letters and wrap mirror cap, and silver trim and grill.
      About a $600 stunt, you could save money by selling older parts or wrap them. 2021 has the new pivi Pro infotainment system as well.
      Befriend a Paint shop, you'll need it for the rest.
