Everything on their cars is made by Bosch, ford, Volvo, haldex and Borg Warner, and interestingly EVERY major even minor issue on them is caused by an American made part. If you service the car at the regular intervals and change short life parts when needed the car WILL last forever

I have my P250 for 2 weeks now and can 'debunk' some of the stuff in this video which is obviously exaggerated for entertainment purposes. Car is great, high quality, very smooth and quiet ride, plenty of power and responsiveness whenever you need it (flooring it from 0 is not part of that). Not once have I noticed waiting for the infotainment to load up - its there once you're good to go. It does have more lag than other systems but if you dont try to treat it like you're iphone it works just fine.

We have the same 9-speed ZF in our Jeep Renegade, it is exactly as laggy of the line, this is because it starts in second gear. Takes time to build up boost, then it goes. If I put it in manual, I can shift down to first, which is super short (for offroading), but it gets you off the line much quicker.

Bought a 2012 Evoque new. Loved the car, didn’t love the constant maintenance and repair cost. Not a deal killer but after a few years it really did feel like a Ford Escape with nicer badges. Sold it and bought a much more reliable Subaru Ascent. The Evoque scared me off of getting a Velar (dream car 🤩). I would definitely get another JLR but it will be a lease, not owned. Land Rover Defender....yes please.

I’ve had two of these cars in a row, a 2013, and now a 2020. I think the car and Land Rover get a hard rep. I’ve really enjoyed both of them. The new one is definitely an improvement. But The lag off the line is definitely an issue and the transmission could be better. That said, it’s in large part corrected by doing a K&N air filter. My car has the active dynamics package in addition to what you reviewed, which does give a sport mode that tightens the suspension for cornering, and allows you to choose between sport and comfort transmission settings as well.

Personally I love it when manufacturers shove as much tech into a car as possible. Really changes your perception of what a car can be. Unfortunately usually this comes at the cost of reliability.

Chef, you are SO right and Consumer Reports agrees with you, giving the EVOQUE MUCH WORSE THAN AVERAGE, its lowest rating.
My MAZDA CX-5 GT Reserve gets SC's MUCH BETTER THAN AVERAGE highest rating. The CX-5's styling (IMHO), handling, steering feel, acceleration and interior finish is ALSO better than the EVOQUE. So why would I pay for a P.O.S. EVOQUE headache when I could have a CX-5 GT Reserve or Signature for $20,000. LESS?? Wait, WHAT? Better quality, more features, faster, etc. for LESS money? That's a no-brainer.

I think with some tuning they can get rid of that delay from a dead stop. I know with the earlier ones there were companies doing exhaust and tunes for them but as far at teh handling im suprise they didnt do a sport mode seeing that it has a higher package. The might do a performance version later that has more HP.

Hi when you say BMW X 3 ? Why dont you say what the price and milage of the BMX X 3 , X3 have many varients . Milage comaparison is very important . Gas station will emty your pocket . All the viewers are not the rich like you. If you need good performance then why to show this EVOQUE MOVIE . Plaes make a movie on RANGE ROVER SPOT Or any other higher varient as you are not interested in the price of the car ,fuel price etc...In this end of the movie you suggest BMW X3 ? How its ,is it same price ? is it more power with less fuel consumption and upkeeping charges ? You are misguiding a customer who is looking to buy an EVOQUE. Why you cant think about your viewer's view ?

The car looks very nice - however Range Rover really need to step up their game with their infotainment and gauge cluster. It sucks how in 2019/2020 we still have infotainment systems in these expensive cars that are that unresponsive/laggy/slow. They want us to use these systems for basic tasks (aircon etc) and yet they make the experience terrible. Deal breaker.
