    Not being willing to sacrifice my "chill time" is my issue, and I realized that through this video. Thanks! You really made me look at things differently.

    This is exactly what I needed! I am so good at finding excuses for not having time. I also get stuck in the constant cycle of "being productive by learning" instead of taking action. Going to make my master plan now!!

    So this has highlighted for me that I misunderstood my problem. I was beating myself up about not getting started but I realise that the reason I’m not is that I’m not feeling well enough to sacrifice my rest time which I seem to need a lot of right now just to cope with full time work. Rather than ignoring it and thinking I should push myself harder I realise I need to go to the doctor and get my health sorted so I have the energy to start.

    I've been a business owner for 8 years. The last 3 I was just going through the motions and the last 1.5 years I took on full time work. This week I made the decision to de-activate my business. While its been on the back burner for a while I suddenly am feeling the urge to start another business. Something that is a passion project now that I don't have the pressure to make a living. I have no idea what it will be but I didnt realize how odd it would feel to not be an entrepreneur and how much relief I would feel to make a permanent decision about my previous business. Listening to this I realized how having a business, growing it and working on it is not something I want to give up completely. I really love the strategizing and the excitement of creating something.

    I've been watching your channel since before I started my business. I learned so much over the years, and now that I'm in business, everything makes so much more sense, and you further to validate all of my thoughts, lists, and actions!! So cool!

    My problem is - I am the problem! I'm 61, and STOP myself from doing things (i started then stopped making YT videos a few years back, and want to get back at it) - because of the "rules" I've been raised with, my expectations, my doubts, getting my head around the programming of my family and culture that I "shouldn't" because it's narcissistic, unladylike, improper... I know! Like WHAT? I "know" this is ridiculous, but it's seriously messing with my energy. I am assuming my "problem" as you refer to in this video is helped by therapy...? The best I can do is tell myself I am offering a pleasant online community for "older" people to bond with others, bring and share joy... it's for them, not me (but who am i kidding; it's for me too, haha) to get away from other old influences. I am kind of shocked I am still being affected by them at this age... Any helpful thoughts appreciated in comments. Thanks, Amy; this video was helpful, for sure! 💛Long-time subscriber in BC, Canada.

    I listened to your video. I have owned my own wellness center since 2020. I purchased it from another acupuncturist. The problem I face isn't any of the ones you listed. The business relied on one vendor when I purchased it for 90% of the referrals. The overhead of my business is between 13 to 20k per month not including my own paycheck which I don't make at this time. We are no longer getting as many referrals from the vendor due to government budgeting issues but I still have high overhead. The cash pay side takes a lot longer to build than I have to actually go out and network because I am the primary and sole acupuncturist to care for the patients...I do think there is probably a simple solution here but I definitely don't see it. I have 2 LLCs. I need funding and I primarily serve and care for U.S. veterans and I am a veteran so...I appreciate your video but I think in my case it's very over simplified. The one thing that would help me is to hire a full time office manager to free up my time. It isn't in the budget.

    • @AmyTV
      @AmyTV  4 місяці тому +5

      I think it’s actually quite simple. You need cash flow. That’s the only thing that matters right now because you’re not going to have a business soon. Your patients won’t even have you anymore if you don’t figure out this problem. So as the sole provider, you’re either treating patients and someone else is out selling or you go sell and someone else treats patients. You need help in a way that buys back time that actually funds the business. Problem to solve: revenue. (Long term problem to solve: never allow your business to be reliant on one client). Master plan: project cash flow. Actions: anything that makes it possible for you to increase revenue. Dm me on instagram to discuss further @schmittastic

      Getting rid of the office space would likely cut down on most of your overhead. I know a lot of alternative practitioners (acupuncture, CST, massage, etc) that started out offering mobile services where they traveled locally to clients or had clients come to their home to keep overhead costs low and then when they built up enough clientele they got an office space.

      Ideas: Commit to every day applying to the new job postings that come up that day.
      Earn your Food Safety or any certificates that prevent you from applying to jobs.
      Make a plan to get a job. It’s hard. Very hard. And without a plan it’s harder.
