Get a marine fuel tank about a 3 gallon so you’ll have more hours of run time, you can secure your fuel tank and generator in the engine bay passanger side and point the exhaust towards the bumper. If you can remove the passanger seat a lot more room for activities 😂
I had two small gas cans that have sealed lids and stored 4them in the side box under the bunk. I'd recommend an exterior box for safety but I had no issues. But I highly recommend just going company with Walmart private fleet. Omg it's great! Email me for more information
What I did was put the exhaust pointing the same direction as my exhaust from the truck I also put it as far back as the first axle. Sometimes I did get some fumes it really just depended on wind LOL position is key. I'm looking at doing a battery system. But still running my AC that I have
Depending on temperature I can get 5.5 to 8hours out of it. The ac unit has actually tripped the breaker a few times so I got a smaller one with less watts. This one is a whynter brand it's on Amazon. It gets plenty cold and also has a heat setting

Those are great ideas!
Where do you keep the gas can while driving? While parked? How do you secure it while driving and parked?
