I love this dude, so many good tips for shaving and for general grooming. Hi Geo, I’m considering using a DE razor for the first time ever at 72 years old, it’s been a hell of a journey from the Marine Corps to civilian life and always using a cartridge style razor and I’m sick and tired of paying ridiculous prices for cartridges. I have ultra sensitive skin so I’m relying on you to steer me to a razor and blade that may work for me. Your site is awesome and I’m a subscriber thanks in advance. Frank
Congratulations on 11 years!! I wish you many, many more years of success and happiness. Thank you for all your great videos. I've learned much from you. You are such a nice and genuine person.
After trying a variety of products, I always keep coming back to the Muhle R89 Twist, Proraso Blue, Feather blades and TOBS sandalwood. Great recommendations
my Simpson T3 Trafalgar is the best brush on the market today it's like buying a $200 badger hair brush, no cleaning the brush, no need for a brush stand, fast drying time, well not fall apart like a badger hair can, cheap to buy, i have owned it for 5 years with no problems wheelchair Larry.
Hello Geo, thanks for the new one. Here are some ideas for new vids: Please make a thorough tour of your store. Maybe two or three parts. Make a video of an order process from A to Z. Make some videos of your team. Who makes what, how is their day in the company.? Visit your local suppliers and make some videos about the production process. Please make some videos of weird shaving supplies. Make some tests of shaving creams and soaps. Any trouble shooting known about shaving supplies? If yes, a video can be made. A video about maintaining your shaving supplies as a fresh up. What about a monthly news video about shaving stuff and new innovations as a teaser for future testings. Maybe a video about long term relatability of certain shaving stuff. How to extend the life of your brush, straight razor or DE razor? What about a long term test? How long can a blade last? Do you think is is feasible to make videos of the shave dens of you fans. Maybe they can send you good videos. Q&A videos. Your youtube subscriber’s have questions or need tipps and you answer them in videos. Do shaving supplies fairs exist? Maybe you can make a walk around video. What about a video about comments regarding your videos? So thats all that came in my mind. Hopefully you can adopt some of my ideas. (sorry for my grammar.) have a great time. Werner from Germany

Great video, congrats on the 11 years! Here's an idea of you haven't already done it: On a standard 2-3 day stubble try a mild razor on one half and an aggressive razor on the other both with everything else the same. And then discuss whether you can get similar result with less passes?
You seem like such a chill lad. You should try Brazilian jiu-jitsu, it's a super fun mostly calm martial art. You'd fit right in. Best wishes to you and shavenation.
Thanks Daal! Thanks for mentioning. I try to let the positive outweigh the negative by a long shot. It just works for me! Super fun and mostly calm... Until someone gets punched in the mouth. (Mike Tyson said it first)
Hi Joey- Thanks. Add the items to your cart and select the shipping method. The shipping cost will be displayed before checking out. We ship to Australia and NSW all the time!
@@geofatboy Thanks Geo! You are best! I bought one recently but finding it a little aggressive for my liking. I trust your review and respect your honest opinion about the products you have reviewed thus far.
Congratulations on your channel and business. oh and when it comes to ideas, how about a video about what to do if you knick a strop and how to fix it (if possible).
Thnx for all the videos and tips you give. I must admit that I use Muhle R89 and R41 both twist, Feather and Astra blades, Feather SS artist and Parker SRX shavettes, TOBS sandalwood, Arko, proraso soaps and aftershaves, proraso brush...mostly because of your reviews. I watched manyu reviews and explenations but I fund yours are the best. The only miss for me was the Parker 22R, idk if mine is a bit defected but the blade is more exposed on one side and never really liked to shave with it. I want to get a more serious natural brush in the future, but the cheap Proraso by Omega one is doing a good job since more than 1 year. Muhle and Simpsons brushes are on my radar, idk witch one to chose and they are quite pricey tho. I use a bit of everything, cream tubes (proraso and TOBS), hard (Proraso and Arko) and softer soaps (TOBS), I like the Proraso brush size, I wouldn't go smaller. Tips?
WOW 11 years of great success in shaving supplies business , congratulations Geo , you deserved it 🌹❤️ but I'm In shock to not see Mercur 34c HD in your favorites 😨
I love your videos. I bought the Rockwell 2C months ago. It shaves well but not as well as I want it to. I want a cartridge shave with a safety razor. Can you recommend something,
I didn't expect to see the Henson up there! Is it really that good? Like better than any Merkur, Edwin Jagger, Rockwell or Parker that you've seen in the last 11 years? There seems to be very divided opinions about the Henson DE and a lot of people dislike it or call bs on the whole hype from what I've read. I've only just started watching your content a few weeks ago, but I'm curious to hear more about what makes it so much better besides the friendly angle? Cheers!
Enjoying your videos. Looking to order some items and would like to know if the brush & shaver stand will accept a Simpsons T2 brush and a Henson shaver? Thanks.
maybe you can do a video about your experience when traveling. Storing, hotel bathrooms.... Planes... ? - I switched from cardrige to DE When I was a student by accident. But stayed. Now, I bought a shavette for the first pass when I haven't shaved for a couple of days. What makes me think about buying a nice straight razor once I find a good and beautiful one. But when traveling all that is more complicated. Often they take of the razor blades at the airport. The bathrooms have no ideal mirrors and light, not enough space to put on all the things needed etc..... Last time I went for a 5 star hotel just because I wanted to have a nice shave in a nice bathroom too 😅and they actually had an adjustable magnifying mirror. That's fantastic!
Ideas for a video. How about comparing straight razors. I know you’ve got different sizes on the website differnt grinds etc. i would be interested in a head to head. You don’t need to talk badly about one either you can compare there postives and negatives. “This one is better if you’ve got really dense beard growth or better for trimming up etc.” yeah i remember i asked my grandpa if he had a safety razor after watching your video. He had a gillete little boy adjustable if I’m not mistaken. Still got it but now that i’ve got a colection I’ve got options. Still i would never sell it. Keep it up geo.
Hi Geo, You were going to do a video on the main differences between aftershave and cologne. Also why is the cologne always 10% more expensive than the aftershave? EG Tobs Sandalwood aftershave is $40 Vs Cologne $45.
@@geofatboy i have had the van der hagen safety razor for many years and would appreciate your feedback on it. Also was wondering what your thoughts are on switching to a straight razor such as the Spartacus?
Great video, I love Proraso Red sandalwood. I have top 10 soaps, aftershaves and blades well 3 blades. I get my alum block from shave nation! I also have 10 razors 7 vintage 3 new, my favorite is the Gillette Heritage razor.
Congrats, love your videos. I would like to see a Irving Barber Company (IBC) shavette review, I've searched for one on your channel. Greetings from Denmark :-)
Video ideas : 1.) shaving Definitions. 2.) What I use Daily. 3.) what Products not to buy. 4.)My Travel Bag. 5.) compare a ton of Razers to Rockwell 6C/6S so people know what else to buy like this razor shaves like the Rockwell 6C/6S R4 plate so you have a standard of how aggressive a shave different razors have to help people purchase more razors
It would be great to see (if possible) some videos on head shaving with safety razors some ideal razors and blades to consider.. not many videos out there on you tube on this
Hey Geo, need some advice on a great razor. I'm looking for something that's just as efficient, if not better, than the Muhle Rocca razor you recommended 3 years ago. I love how baby smooth my skin gets with a Feather blade, but it's a tad aggressive. Tried many blades like the Astra, Nacets, and other smoother blades, but I'm having a hard time with the aggressiveness on my cheeks and chin. What's a good alternative I could look into? The first few razors I had in mind were the Muhle R89, Feather AS-D2, and Henson AL13. Is the R89 still your go to favorite razor? Should I look at something else? Thanks!
The Henson might work in the Medium version for you. The Feather will likely be too mild. The R89 is a great choice, I prefer the Twist model. shavenation.com/collections/safety-razors
Thanks all. I have heard so much about a few classic aftershaves such as Fine accoutrements, Pinaud, English leather, Royal Copenhagen etc etc all these follow the simple old rule of water, alcohol and fragrance and this could be the theme of the video. This will help narrow it down.
Any one of those razors are great for getting started with wet shaving. Choose the one that appeals to you most since you'll be the picking it up every day to shave with it. shavenation.com/collections/safety-razors
I recently discovered my new favorite DE blade, after having tried dozens including most of the biggest names. It's my favorite, and is on the low end price-wise. It's Lord Blue Sword. GeoFatBoy, if you're reading this, have you tried the Blue Sword? I can't find it on your website.
Geo great content! Would you consider doing a review on the irvin shavette? I'm interested in one but need advice from the man himself, I brought the parker razor after watching your video, stay blessed 🙏
Geo, I always wanted to make a shaving video, maybe during Halloween, where you are demonstrating a straight razor and accidentally cut your jugular vein and bleed to death from the neck. I don’t think this is your style, but I’d love to see someone do it.
Greetings Geo. I have a safety razor that belonged to my grandfather. My dad remembers him with that one razor all the time. My dad inherited that safety razor from my grand dad and three years ago my dad gave it to me. I do not know the brand or how old it is, most likely 80/100 years old. Here is my question: What razor is a good present to give to someone hoping it will last many for years even generations to come. Is feather AS D2s the answer? Are the other razors that can last for many years?
How about 3 or four best USA DE razors for everyday or every 2 days. Mid aggressive. No Newby razors. $150 or less. No adjustable. North American made also, same criteria.
I got a homepage and my orders goin here in north sweden, i have one that makes razors by hand and i got alot of the famous gear like the futur and merkur and the others for less than half price. But i think i have razors that can use shark stainless and chrome version and do one single pass on my thick thick beard and head too and one single pass is enough . I rarely have to do two , i think alot of the razors are just not close enough and the blade is the problem when using like voskhod on my italian super hd csr i just are fine after one pass and with merkur i need like 3 with a feather blade. There are so great safety razors from india and china too coming that kicks serious ass and razorock tries to copy them and alot of others too but just dont come close to the same crazy good shave. And im all in for the soaps that have oil in them for thick hair growth i like the northen lights and north star razor also the mellon razor and with the swedish de blades there is closer shaves and sharper blades than feather for sure , i would pick Kai blades , Personna lab blue , Gilette rubie plus, Merkur super platinum , Personna platinum (germany),Wizamet super iridium ,Matgicol Swedish steel platinum blades , Polsilver super iridium blades, Razolution (germany made blades), Timor stainless , all of those blades works better for me than feather . Feather and not as smooth either as those for me, i recomennd the shark chrome first and the most get the best and closest shave with my razors and one pass are as smooth as you can get also there is zero need for balm with the right soap with oils just warm water and rub it in the skin loves that in winter. There are alot more better shaving than merkur and edwin jagger and the others now , and why would you use a razor than need so many passes? And like the Futur thats a big scam , that razor is from china and cost 8dollars and they have better versions than that one. Zaqi razors have released some crazy good ones but i got my handmade ones that will be awailable this year . My prices are so low on ALL of the products some soaps are 1 dollar , a 100 pack of shark for 4 dollars and the razors never over 40 dollars . Brushes from 5 dollars to 15 badger white top and special made ones for everyone . The new shavette stuff coming out will be hot on the market too.

How is the full line of paraso shaving line - pre shave, shave cream and post shave balm, all in a shave to see how it works as a combo set
I congrats Geo on 11. Cheers Bro, 🍻
Thanks Peter, greatly appreciated!
Have you done a review on the van der hagen safety razor?
I thought I did a long time ago... Checked and I have not. So thanks for the suggestion.
Nice video. Thks mate❤
What is your favorite straight razor?
I'm pretty fond of this one: bit.ly/SpartacusSN
@@geofatboy
Thiers Issard was my first two straight razors.
I concur.
You're really awesome dude,thanks.
A video about after shaves will be great in terms of themes!
I second this.
I second this.
Excellent-Thank You!
Thanks all. I have heard so much about a few classic aftershaves such as Fine accoutrements, Pinaud, English leather, Royal Copenhagen etc etc all these follow the simple old rule of water, alcohol and fragrance and this could be the theme of the video. This will help narrow it down.
would you recommend the Henson razor over the Merkur 34C/23C or even a Futur for my first DE?

Congrats Geo!!! Thank you for your service to the world!!!
Thanks so much Kostas!
Could you do a luxury shave with the most expensive gear available at Shave Nation?
Good one, Thanks, I'll check into it $$$!
Great Video! You could make a vid testing out my favorite blades: Sputnik from Gillette.
Thanks Marlon. I have to get my hands (and face) on some Sputniks!
Do a "top 10" bloody deaths when using a Muhle R41 razor.
Ha Ha! That's a Halloween Feature video!
A back shaver? Now I've seen it all. I had no idea.
Have you tried it? bit.ly/BaKbladeSN
I used it yesterday for a baby smooth back!
Thnx G.O.
How about 3 or four best USA DE razors for everyday or every 2 days. Mid aggressive. No Newby razors. $150 or less. No adjustable. North American made also, same criteria.
Sounds great Stephen. Thanks!
Meant to add happy anniversary.
Thanks for your input Daniel, and good luck!
