Every man needs to see this video. Too many people these days don't even know what a safety razor is, let alone a straight razor. Also, I like what you did with the cameras!
I have learned a lot from watching your videos. I have been wet shaving for about 10 years and enjoy every single shave. I actually head and face shave at the same time and take about 25 minutes. It is fantastic to have some quality time to enjoy something so therapeutic. I love the Proraso pre-post shave cream and TOBS Sandalwood is also one of my favourite creams. I have some modern razors but love the older Gillette short and new long combs and single edge Gem style razors.
Hey, Geo, I restarted wet shaving with DE razors after watching your videos and that is around 10 years ago and love it,my daily go to razor is 37C and not aggressive for me just two passes ie with and across the grain and that too 5 days in a week, you are my source of inspiration 🙏🙏🙏
34c with the Wizamet Iridium Super blade, is perfect for my face. I dip into a shavette every now & then just to practice something new, but the blade/handle combo above will always be my go-to. It's just superb.
I've been a follower forever, so glad I stumbled upon your channel, I live in Europe but my first ever shaving supplies order was from Shavenation. Huge thanks to Geo and his team for making such awesome content. Have a great shave have a great day! 😎
Geo-Fantastic. Your honest and straight forward advice that we can use whatever combination we want is refreshing. So many demand that you have to use certain combinations. "My den, my choice" is a great mantra. Thank you Geo.
love the videos, you taught me the right way to get my shave on. The wife thinks I'm crazy, but I gotta have my "Zen moment" > your service and knowledge base cant be beat. Congrats on 14 years
Great video Geo. Liked the split screen. Your videos like this are what got me started in wet shaving. Thanks for all the work you do with the videos and have a great weekend. 👍
Geo, I saw the video posted about six years ago about you're life. It's very motivațional so maybe you will do another video as many probably don't know you're life story. Why geofatboy, how everything started. You're an amazing person
Good day to you from across the pond, Geo! I used to have a real issue with daily shaving because I have the "jackpot" combination of very sensitive skin and very tough facial hair. Tried everything from various kinds of cartridge and electric razors, and at some point got the idea to try a DE razor from one of your videos, which mostly solved the problem for me - with a DE I can be clean-shaven more or less always, and not have an irritated mess for a face. So thanks a lot for the wisdom, much appreciated!
Nice uncut shaving video format! I'm with you on applying the balm first and the splash second. I find that the scent lasts longer. You are the shaving Zen Master!
Great vid, especially with a 14 year old 34 razor that is in great shape. Split screen good, as is an uncut version. Feather blade and other items, a good combo. Cheers, John
Great video! Should be watched by all new shavers. Heck, I’ve been a wet shaver now for four years and even I got something out of it. My next step is to get that razor. I’ve always wanted one but wondered it was too mild.
Well done Geo👍 Yep, nice touch the split screen, worked perfect. You've been doing this as long as anybody I know, thanks for the continued content. Great video and results as always, thanks.
The 34C was my first DE razor until it started to disintegrate. Now I use mostly a Rockwell 6S on weekdays along with a Muhle R41 (with a spare R89 head that rarely gets used) at weekends. For variety I have a 1966 Gillette Tech, a Fatip Piccolo OC and a Fatip hybrid (L'ibrido?).
Hi Geo. Great shaving refresher video. Reference the aerator on the faucet head, hard water deposits on my aerator get built up on the screen so occasionally I soak the aerator head in clear vinegar overnight that makes it like new. Same theory on my shower head....need to soak it in clear vinegar to resolve the hard water deposits.
i like it. as well that there r no out-takes. nice routine. started real wet shaving around 2 months ago after 2 weeks with the wilkinson classic for 9€ nxt to the cashier. i ordered the feather as-d2 and i love it. step by step i m getting deeper and deeper into it.
I have the same issue with scars. I struggle with several skin grafts on my face because the hair grows in same direction as it grew on the donor area. I think you can guess where the donor area is. Sometimes it takes 5-6 passes from every possible angle to remove that.
Hi Geofatboy, this is almost exactly the same as the one I ordered. But Taylor and the Alum Bloc did not deliver. Thanks for the great video. You are number one.
Great video and congratulations to your anniversary!! Love your videos. Using the Merkur Futur and still cut myself when shaving the mustache and the chin. Started about 4 weeks ago
Hey geofatboy , this might be lame, but I wanted to say 15 years ago, you taught me how to shave. I’m 29 years old now (military veteran) with a great career working for the SDA. In some way you were part of that.
@@aaronnewport4015Hey, in regards to my comment.. when I discovered Geo’s video’s, I was a young lad with no direction, somehow military called to me and this dudes videos with their clear directions made me happy. It was like a harmless and happy little ritual a man could follow in an ever challenging world
I agree with the pinned comment! I have my newly turned 6 year old grandson whipping up lathers, applying it to me and him and wearing aftershave 😂 Love the new camera angles, really gives it something extra! Any chance you can get that shirt in a 3xl?
The 34c is outstanding. I lost mine. But yeah once you get used to shaving with DE it’s hard to go back to carts. The head of king c Gillette safety razor is an exact clone of the 34c
I wonder, is there any product on the market designed to support the shaving process but for internal use? If not, I guess it will be available soon after my words about it, Why so? Several years ago I mentioned on the Internet that buying shampoo for a wristwatch would be nice, and it showed up!
Geo, question. I've had a Merkur 34C for some time now, and I really want to like it, really bad. You've done so many videos with it and you brag on it all the time, but, I haven't had a GOOD shave with it yet. After 500 passes and every different blade you can think of, my face is half raw, and I still feel like I need to shave when I'm done. I have in the neighborhood of 75 razors, and no other one, that I use, is like this. Is it my razor or is it me? Have you heard of this before? Am I holding my mouth wrong? Is my tongue on the wrong side? It seems to be beyond mild. I really don't want to HAVE to shim it, or something, I want it to just work. Did I get a bad one?
You really let your Boar brush sink into the water for a couple of seconds. I usually let them soak up at least for 2-3 minutes. I imagine the brush to feel very stingy when lathering up. Or is the Brush already that much broken in that the bristles got softer (like hair spliss, which is typical for older Boar Brushes)?
This video should be played in every school in America, young men need these tips 🙏
Not just in America - I'm pretty sure Geo has viewers from all over the world :)
Yes, you are right! But in the System Mr. Profit rules.

your life. Well done Geo 👍.

Thanks for all your contributions to the wet shaving community! I’ve learned a ton and now you’re my go to for supplies.
Thanks for all the great shaving info over the years, Geo!😊👍

I've heard it said this way, too. "Your Shave, Your Rules" on Mark Szorady's channel.
Thank you, sir!
I am not a fan of shaving, but I get pleasure from watching your videos.
Feliz aniversario y desearte que sean muchos más. La 34c es una de mis máquinas favoritas. Un fuerte abrazo
The multiple camera angles is very helpful

I've learned so much from you Geo! And have tried and liked a lot of products! Keep up your great work!
Great videos, great attitude! Have a great shave, have a great day Geo, and thank you for getting me to go the traditional shave!
I love the uncut Geo!
Good day to you from across the pond, Geo!

Love the uncut video and camera angles Geo. Please do more in this style! 🙏
Still love ya videos ever since day 1. Awesome man
Great vid, especially with a 14 year old 34 razor that is in great shape. Split screen good, as is an uncut version.
Feather blade and other items, a good combo.
Cheers, John
Great video Geo ! I like this uncut version because it looks natural and more real. Greetings from Greece. Have a great shave have a greate day !!
I'm 10 years in myself now. My go to was an edwin jagger DE9 and Proraso green.
34c boar brush feather blade nothing fancy or expensive but one of the best shaving combos 👏🏼
Great video and shave. I like the “uncut” format, especially the additional camera angles.
Great video! Should be watched by all new shavers. Heck, I’ve been a wet shaver now for four years and even I got something out of it. My next step is to get that razor. I’ve always wanted one but wondered it was too mild.
Thanks for all the great shaving advice. Are there any plans to get more of the merkure progress knobs in stock?
You’re the best GeoFatboy! Thanks for the videos!

Que buena afeitada. Muy buen canal, contenido de calidad. Y la Merkur 34c es una maravilla 🤘
Almost 100k subs keep it up 😉
Nice Anniversary video, Mr. Geo! I love the new camera angles and Geo uncut! Well done!

My very first "pro" set was actually the other way around - the Proraso red pre and the green soap/cream for the shave. It worked nicely as a combo! 😁
Hey Geo! Love the new camera angles. Happy shaving my friend!
Great shave Geo! Like the split screen technique:)
Hey man. Thanks for the content over the years
Been watching your videos from the start and you do a great job geo.
Great video Geo! As always! Love all your videos!
great guide
Thanks for sharing Geo! You're the man, your lather making video with proraso helped me get into wet shaving
Absolutely loved the video! It’s highly informative and helpful. Amazing work! 🙌
Like the new camera angles Geo! Top man👊

13:05 thanks for adressing this I was struggling with it in the main video
Do you have tips on chin stubles? Thats now my new weakness
Hey Geo, awesome video as always. I like the new way you did the video. Thanks for sharing and making your videos. They are very helpful.

I’m English so pardon my ignorance but why are you telling people that you served in the military?

Thanks mate
It’s the first time I have caught myself doing all the face motions and stretches as he was shaving.
Where is the "clearing the runways" sound?
As always, fun to watch!
👍🙂
Thanks

What after shave balm do you recommend? Thanks for everything you do!!

Im looking to start using a safety razor. I want a very close shave. I have a pretty coarse beard. What would you recommend? I was thinking the 38C.
Are the Feather blades too sharp for daily use? Just getting into this and looking at different blades.
If you had to choose one razor what would you choose the Merkur HD 34c or the EJ DE89
14 years of Geo Fatboy!

.... unless you want to look like a caveman which I'm sure you don't 😂. Thanks for the great updated video and awesome shaving tips!
I never used a preshave, should I?
Geo you are someone I call a hero. Your success makes me very happy. Looking sharper, your hard work is paying off.
Are you watching the Cricket World Cup match
How do you deal with the beard and soap clogging your sink drain?
❤ this video. Very nicely explained. Educative for beginners. But water could have been saved a lot, a scarce resource..
Nyitott vagy zártfèsűs a jobb?
Hi George phaos
😢 No sound effects when clearing the runways?
👍

Why is it called "Uncut" when you are teaching us how to shave? Shouldn't it be "cut" version? 😅
No 🤦
@@aruvaboy1736 But the video is about cutting hair aha
You are one of the oldest active youtubers!
Nice, but living in California, it would be helpful to shave without wasting 20 gallons of water :-)
Its hard to find proraso in EU.
