    Rev I love the relationship you have with your old man. My Dad passed away 2 year ago in July and I miss him everyday. I regret not finding/making the time to do things like this with him when he was here. So I’m living it through you and your old man. Keep the videos coming I really enjoy them and I know my dad would be a subscriber and watching the videos also if he was still here.

      While my dad is still here he never was a "car guy" but if he was we wouldn't be able to do it. He's a double amputee and a stroke survivor. Needless to say hes not in the garage turning wrenches. My granddad was the one who got me into cars and working on them. I do miss him greatly and of my time in the military the only regret I have was the time I missed with him working on the cars. By the time I got out he had sold all the old cars we had and wasn't able to continue due to declining health. Rev, enjoy the "Old Man" as long as you can and forge those memories because while he will not be here forever, they will.
      Love to ya brother.

      I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. I am 38 now and I'm the youngest of three, but my dad is 72 and still kicking. I know that I'm going to be absolutely inconsolable when he goes, but he's healthy and I feel that he'll be around for a while longer (with the graces of God). I hope you're doing well bud.

    My comments from the preview page: My buddy had a red on red 66 with this engine and a 4 speed and what I think were 3:50 gears. This was back in 1971. It was surprisingly quick from 0 to 35 and got a couple of car lengths on you while your tires were spinning off the line. Pretty annoying. Nothing after 40, but was great stop light to stop light on the old cruising strip

  • @neil6212
    @neil6212 3 роки тому +3

    The 200 inch six is almost legendary, as with the 300 inch six. Both have seven main bearings, and tend to run "forever". Also have considerable torque at low RPM. Careful with putting plus back in after introducing marvel oil into the cylinders, as it is a good formula for hydrolock. Better leave the plugs out for the first couple of revs. I bent a rod once with that method! Good thing I used only a little oil on the other seven, and flooded the one which had the lowest compression!

    • @RevStoration
      @RevStoration  3 роки тому

      I love the straight six engines.. they do run forever. We turned the engine over numerous times with the plugs in.. then we reinstalled the plugs.. thanks for watching!
