I'm not a big ford guy but the 1957 Ford Fairlane is one hot car that is one of my dream cars. I just love the looks of them and love the retractable hardtops that they had on them too that was just awesome
Love the show! I am a Pastor as well for the past 30 years and I called my dad"Pops" and he loved it until he passed in 1997. God bless you and your "Old Man"!

Rev, looks like you an the old man /dad were having a barrel of fun with the old 57 Fairlane. Once again another old Ford that hasn't ran in many a year is getting ready to hit the highway once again. That is after a few things get lined out. Like the brakes for one. An maybe new radiator. Great video! My old man had a 57 Custom 300 with the 272 2bbl. Notorious for being difficult to start. He bought her new and sold it in 1972 to buy a 72 Gran Torino. As I recall, he had to rebuild the engine in the late 60's due to an oiling system flaw. We missed the car once it was gone, but sure loved that Torino!
Hi Rev. I watched this on the live stream and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The engine sounds great and it was nice to see the old man having fun and enjoying himself. I'm thoroughly enjoying your channel. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Cheers Chris.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! THANKS FOR SAVING THIS OL SCHOOL HOT ROD FROM THE CRUSHER!!! SHE SOUNDS FINE WITH THOSE GLASS PACKS!!!! SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL WITH THOSE CRAGAR MAGS!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!! ONE MORE DAILY DRIVER RETURNS TO THE ROAD!!!
My cousin next door, has a 2 door 57 Fairlance 500. I think it was originally blue, but back in the 80's, he fixed it up and did the popular 2 tone red and white paint job on it. It has been settin back in the tree row since probably 1990. Its in pretty rough shape now. It also has the factory 292 still in it. Even though I'm a die hard Chevy guy, I like these 57 Fairlane's. He also has an early 1950 F1 pickup, with a 3 speed and a granny low trans. Actually making it a 4 speed. It has the good old flathead V8 in it too. Its at a shop right now being restored.
Hi! Guys! Great video! I really enjoy the way you guys work so well together. I enjoy your humor. Ha! ha! I am an old guy too, and have been a Ford guy my whole life. This car brings back memories to me. It reminds me of a moonshine tanker car. Ha! ha! I wonder if the engine in your car could be a 312 Thunderbird motor. It seems pretty snappy for a 292. And it is set up with factory dual exhaust manifolds, and a 4V Carburetor. ... Back in 1959 my family lived in Tennessee. My dad had bought a new 1959 Ford with a 292 in it. Dad use to haul his tools, and pipes in the trunk. So he installed air bags on the rear springs. It was still a low rider. He use to work the night shirt at a trucking line. They worked nights because it was cooler in the shop to work. Anyhow he got pulled over several times by the moonshine revenuers. Because they thought he was a shine hauler. Ha! ha! I had a 1957 Ford years ago, and I put a 352 4 barrel Mercury motor in it. That was a great runner with plenty of power. I have owned many Fords over the years. I still have a 1963 1/2 XL like the one you guys are working on. I have had my 63 for almost 50 years. I will put a link here to a video of my 63 if you are interested to take a look. ua-cam.com/video/PpjUbSzZe0s/v-deo.html You guys have a great father son relationship, and make great videos together. Thank you! Keep up the good work, and fun videos. ... Mike
Wow! I will take a look at the video... Thank you so much for watching... we are going to pull some numbers off of the engine and see was it is... It is a C-code car which should be the 292 but who knows what has happen to it since... Thanks again for watching and commenting...
I like your old Yankee ingenuity hanging that fuel tank off the hood for a nice gravity feed to the carburetor. You and your Dad sure do work well nice to see. But, of course he can take a good ribbing and so can you. That's what I miss about not having my Dad around anymore he died of lung cancer at 79 back in Sept.26,2003 he is gone but not forgotten. I worked on my first car with him back in 1959 on our 1950 Oldsmobile Rocket 88.
She’s got those glass packs. Neighbor of my aunt and uncle had same car back in the day. She took excellent care of it. I saw a relative of hers drive it away when she passed in the seventies. Unique color pink and black!
Just can't be any better than that. She sounds pretty fit for her age. Can see why you fella's are piqued by followers trying to get your Dad's old cars. Love the lines of the 1957 Ford's, and have gotten into squabbles with family about my favor on old Ford coupes and sedans. Great job brother.
Rev you and Dad are such an awesome team for this channel we love the great content you put out for us love it all so much thanks and keep up the fun memories
Gotta love the Cragar wheels! There's nothing like the vehicles from the 50's...great styling! Sounded like a bit of lifter noise, but what can you expect after 30+ years of not running. The body looks solid, though. Your dad was having fun and that's what it's all about!
Hey there Rev and Ole Man, the old 57 is moving! Wow. Great job getting her fired up and actually catching first and reverse. The Ole Man was having a heck of a time with her. Gonna do more work on her? Hope so, she looks awesome with the Cragar S/S mags on her. Y block is pretty rare. Good going guys. Stay safe. Greetings to NikkiT. Deuces. Big Al.
Let er idle for awhile the rings might settle in stop smoking. Those offenhouser valve covers super rare speed parts along with the Edelbrock intake. In a few minutes the old man turned into a race ready teenager on a Saturday night that’s awesome he let er rip. Now it’s ready for a oil and filter change. Have a Blessed One Sir.
I watched your video about rebuilding a 289. I have a 63 fairlane. She needs a lot of work and I plan on holding on to her forever. I’m moving down south in 6 months. I’d be honored if it might be something you could use for one of your revstories! I’d much rather give to your cause than finding some place that won’t have the level of interest and care you truly have! God bless, maybe I’ll hear back. Thank you for the inspiration! -Tom
That is one sweet car! I hope it sees the road again, it deserves it and it looks like its in pretty decent shape. I would leave it as is just make it a good running and safe car. What are your plans for it? Keeping it or selling it? You should really get it off the grass though so the floor doesn't rot away from the moisture. It looks great with those old Cragars on it, it sounds badass too. Looks like it was someones hot rod once judging from the rims, valve covers, dual exhaust, etc. Oh, I love the jokes too! My niece who just turned 8 will love those when I tell her!
We are honored that you enjoyed the video.. we enjoy making it. We plan on getting it back to the road at least.. It does seem to have been someone's hot rod.. Thanks again for watching..
Ah dang it work kept me from seeing the premiere but this was worth the wait. I love the late '50's body style of cars more than any other era! When there's skeeters you don't mind the car smoking, hopefully the smoke cleared them out. LOL Thanks for sharing that Fairlane Rev, it's a beauty! God bless!
Cecil, I have one as a daily driver that I pulled off of the Family Grave Yard... Some we will get back on the road and sale it, Some we will work on, some we will park in the tree row... No rhyme or reason to our madness.
Just pulled one of these '57 Fords out of the weeds back in March, only mine was a Skyliner retractable hardtop. Its much rougher than this one, it's been parked since 1971.
Wow you brought back a memory. My dad worked at a ford stamping plant for 30 years. He bought my brother a 1957 remote control metal toy sky liner for his birthday I think it was in 59 ,
finally somebody gettin my favorite car working again. love 57 fords, the one year they beat chevy in sales lol. had a 57 ranch wagon i should have kept it.
Omg she sounds great with that old exhaust, I can just imagine how badass it would sound with a free flowing dual exhaust with flow master 10’s at the tips !!! 👍👍👍
Omg that baby is badass to me and I love the Creager mags !!! I would drive it as a daily driver just as it looks with the motor running good, duel exhaust, brakes and suspension and whatever else fixed or replaced !!!
It's got some vintage aftermarket parts on that thing that Holley carb is a oldie and those awesome Offenhauser valve covers are cool look like parts from the 1960's or early 70's you just don't see that stuff much anymore that's awesome I wonder what size of Carb that Holley is you should run the numbers on that holley and don't get rid of it those are collectable pieces
That's it! I've watched a few episodes, but from 'hold the gas bag steady' to a 'Ford bread tie' - makes me miss the 'good ol days'... y'all got me subscribed. Kudos from Canada
Being a old FORD man, when u was messing with the linkage im thinking wrap a bread tie on it, we must think alike. anyway in the glove box u need a set of points, several bread ties assorted colors, and a spare fuel filter, and sum fuel hose, and your on your way. very good video.
I remember my Dad had one brand new 1957 - Powder Blue and White with the Fairlane in Gold ... the auto transmission went bad on it and that was the last Ford my Dad ever bought. Damn ... I miss my Dad every day ...

It’s nice how you can swap parts on the old cars. So much easier than the modern stuff! It reminds me of a bad ballast resistor on old Chrysler’s.
It could be the resistor... but it isn't getting power to the resistor, so that is why I assumed it was the switch..
Maybe my favorite of all the vehicles that you guys have brought to life. And that's saying something! Great job guys.

Love the Fairlane love the content keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so very much for watching and commenting... We enjoy making the content...
Back in 1970 I had a 57 Ford two-door that had a 312 Thunderbird motor and a 4 on the floor I was told sometime they put 312 motors in those 57 Fords
The 312 is the G code car... rare ride if it was original.
i love your videos and that fairlane
Thanks Jorge!
Love the sound of that Ford!
Me too Larry...
God bless!
Brodie.. we dusted them rascals at the end.
What do you do when you start the cars, have you fixed one right up or sre you just psrking or sell them?
Cecil, I have one as a daily driver that I pulled off of the Family Grave Yard... Some we will get back on the road and sale it, Some we will work on, some we will park in the tree row... No rhyme or reason to our madness.
Just pulled one of these '57 Fords out of the weeds back in March, only mine was a Skyliner retractable hardtop. Its much rougher than this one, it's been parked since 1971.
Such a cool ride... Hopefully your project comes along nicely.
Wow you brought back a memory. My dad worked at a ford stamping plant for 30 years. He bought my brother a 1957 remote control metal toy sky liner for his birthday I think it was in 59 ,
pops was having fun
Without a doubt... he enjoyed it...
finally somebody gettin my favorite car working again. love 57 fords, the one year they beat chevy in sales lol. had a 57 ranch wagon i should have kept it.
Sweet... We will get this ole girl running and stopping soon...
I use to have a car just like that. What are y'all doing do with it? If for sale I maybe interested in it..
Greg, I think we are going to work on it some more and then figure out then if we are going to keep it or pass it along..
My 57 had the 312ci and a duel headlight package, which was a kit in late 57. Check them out, really made the front look better.
Omg she sounds great with that old exhaust, I can just imagine how badass it would sound with a free flowing dual exhaust with flow master 10’s at the tips !!! 👍👍👍
We are going to be working on this ole girl and hopefully making her sound awesome.
It sounds so amazing as it was. Any idea the exhaust on it for this video? Glad I found you guys Nice save
Hi Rev God Bless you and your Dad ,and your Mrs your a great family ,God Bless 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸🙏🙏
Thanks Eric... we enjoy sharing the content.
Oh boy this is the one I’ve been waiting for!
Hopefully, you have enjoyed it Victoria....
Omg that baby is badass to me and I love the Creager mags !!! I would drive it as a daily driver just as it looks with the motor running good, duel exhaust, brakes and suspension and whatever else fixed or replaced !!!
She is a fun one... second video is up on the channel.
I am going to rebuild the holey and the valve covers are rare...
I love the old 57 Ford Fairlanes such beautiful cars, great footage 👌👌👌
Thanks Trevor... God Bless.
Greetings Rev, Always Good Seeing You & Your Father, Great Content On That ‘57, God Bless!!

Being a old FORD man, when u was messing with the linkage im thinking wrap a bread tie on it, we must think alike. anyway in the glove box u need a set of points, several bread ties assorted colors, and a spare fuel filter, and sum fuel hose, and your on your way. very good video.
Frank...master minds think alike.. Thanks for watching..
I remember my Dad had one brand new 1957 - Powder Blue and White with the Fairlane in Gold ... the auto transmission went bad on it and that was the last Ford my Dad ever bought. Damn ... I miss my Dad every day ...
Sweet ride for sure.. Thanks for watching and sharing.
