🙏Thank you again Zeka, Lynn and Sean and everyone else involved in producing this phenomenal banding and Q&A. In such dark, difficult and complicated days in our country and globally, this is such an inspiring ray of light and reminder of what is good in the world.🙏
What a marvelous, great and amazing moment and sight, that we can look this banding for this lovely and fluffy 2 Sweethearts. Very interesting and fantastic work. Thank you very much for all the guys, who's done this adorable, awesome job. Thanks so much for sharing❤️🍀
Annie and Alden were making shallow swoops at the panders as well as incessantly vocalizing, but Annie and even Alden weren't too aggressive but by now Annie most definitely has gotten used to the concept of having banding operatives temporarily take possession of their brood for a brief period.
Ah. I was wondering what Alden was doing, during this process...or if he was even around. This is all very new for him, of course. Annie, as you said, at least has a fair bit of experience with all of this.
the 2nd chick was the more vocal of the two, reminded me very much of Annie... as she is quite vocal. a pigeon for midmorning snack and all will be forgotten..
The face you make when first meeting another live species. Can't get enough of chicks' surprise expressions. Fave moment is at 8:24 (Webcam time stamp.)
Gold chick post-banding: 'that was horrible maybe if I sit really still and quiet they'll go away and never come back' Blue chick post-banding: 'YEAH THAT'S RIGHT GET OUT OF HERE YOU @&*@#@'
Great to witness. Each chick looked at the camera like "see what they did. They took a feather!" By the end the older one was more chilled, the younger one had a lot to say.
I watched the entire banding process. Team, excellent work. Do we know the gender of the two little birds? Will we know the "real Father" of the two little one?
...Very surprised for Scientists there is no Weather instrumentation for continuous display of Temp.,Humidity, and Wind for UCB Campanile tower. This is science, not just good P.R... Wish we could remotely flight track but guess camera follow 4k tech is not there yet.
First time seeing the banding of these two precious eyases!! I laughed so hard that my cheeks hurt @ 8:24. The way it put it's wings out and went flat up against the wall 🤣🤣! All I was thinking was "STOP and put your wings up!" Tyvm for sharing this footage with all of us and taking care of this wonderful family! Also, I'm not sure if I missed a video of it but were they able to find out if Grinnell is the dad? Thanks! 💙🥰
Chicks: “This is definitely not breakfast delivery! Yikes!”
Gotta feel sorry for the one who's waiting. Has to anticipate what is going to happen to him or her. And first time without his buddy for comfort.
i must say little number 2 is quite the brave one! he never stopped voicing his displeasure! fantastic job done with such care- thank you!

Oh, the indignity!!
So interesting to see the banding/gender id process in action - Thank you!
Banded bird: If looks could kill.....
The chicks seem calmer this year than last, though Annie and Alden were sure making a ruckus!

I hope at least one is Alden's!
1 male (blue), 1 female (gold)
@@calfalcons I think ‘Blue’ and ‘Gold’ are great candidates for this year’s names!
Male should be older of the two...female is I think Alden's which hatched later.
I think both of them are Grinnell's
❤❤❤
8:24 on the webcam...classic grinnel jr!

Well done. That was some serious umbrage. :)
Have the chicks eaten today? Haven't seen that! Ohh Saw they had one at 10:26
Boy, was HE mad!
I hope one of them is a boy, so we can name him Grinnell Jr.
😍🤣🤣🤣
