Falcons are something to see in the wild and in a hunting mode. They strike right in the air a lot, knocking the prey out of its flight path then nailing it. It also runs protective assaults on trespassers birds who get in their space. I saw one nail a massive, ugly turkey vulture who got in its area. It flew into its tail end then came around and hit it from the other side, sending it spinning to the ground. Not sure if the vulture was killed but I'm sure the falcon wasn't going to eat it. Falcons are 'finesse' birds, no vicious hunter/killers. Their offense and defense is its speed.
When the bird came back after the 2 babies moved.... she was looking around like " Now im getting old but I know i didn't leave you right there...Who moved yall?"😂
So you think these things don't have sibling rivalry?? Uh, better watch some more. These guys aren't trying to share with their siblings, they're trying to get every not they can before their siblings get any of it!! Once these chicks get to be a certain age, they rush the parent bird when it arrives with a food item!!
@@sardu55baby is kinda just the universal young living thing word. Even though there’s some variation of baby for everything does not mean it has to be used. Most people don’t know that the word for a baby rabbit is a kit.
very nice video, enjoyed it , thank you ,, couldnt imagine the growth speed though,, so fast ,,anyways the city and river scenery is beautiful as well ,
I was obsessed by these bird's ever since watching an old Kirk Douglas film called the Vikings when I was about 5. Then a former schoolfriend gave me a book on them when I was about 13. Still have it or my son's do i hope. I love watching them develop and how the mothet cares for them. I suppose they practice flapping on the ledge and probably have no problem flying. But I wonder if they find it difficult to get back to such a high window ledge.
Human babies need cribs and fences and what not to protect them for falling, baby birds rarely fall of the nest, they only adventure when they feel they're ready. i've seen babies climbing step ladders when they could barely walk.
Young birds are obviously overheated at the 5:00 mark. Whoever erected the platform should have taken the sun into account. A little shade would have worked wonders for those fledglings.
Maybe it's coz I have a fear of heights, but it ALWAYS makes me NERVOUS seeing a birds nest so close to the edge of a building or lower side of a building. Once the chicks are old enough to walk around one could easily fall and be killed if it cannot fly yet. I have a major issue with heights and I get a physical reaction while watching this kind of thing. If I was hooked up to a heart monitor and brain wave machine, you'll SEE my body react watching this, and this is tame compared to more visually graphic videos. Like the camera facing down hahaha I CANNOT handle seeing that despite the FACT my feet are on the ground. If I have one phobia it's a SEVERE case of heights 😂 I hope these chicks all survived and love a long life 😇
i am able to see the IBM office and i would like to know which city. Whoever captured the video hats off to them. Expecting more videos bro/sis. Good work
The Mirvac Building, Collins Street (I can never remember the whole address--327, 527?), Melbourne. I'm not sure how many seasons the camera has been running. I first came across the nest in 2022. This is video from that year. They shut the camera down early in 2023. Mum laid 4 eggs then was injured in what was thought to be a fight with an intruder. Incubation became erratic with dad doing his best to incubate and look after his mate. The eggs were deemed unviable. This camera does not run in the off season.
Vaya. Increíble nido con vistas de amo del mundo 😂. Espero que no esté demasiado expuesto al sol. Parece que no hay peligrosos depredadores. Donde yo vivo las gaviotas se habrían comido a los polluelos.
Im surprised there really isnt a nest to speak of, there is a hawk close by my house that has the biggest nest ive ever seen, its on top of a transformer at the top of a power pole, its gigantic

That happens now and then. In my city we have a nest of peregrines each year. Some 2 years ago one of the chicks fell off the tower when it couldn’t fly yet. But by flapping its wings she landed unharmed on the roof of a house. There she was fed by the parents till she could fly.
I loved the peregrine falcon bird, excellent video, thank you very much, greetings from Turkey. the feeling of motherhood is wonderful
Bro
Birds are very intelligent, peregrine falcons are so adorable because they don't kill each others when there babies like other birds
Exacto, Los Azores Matan a sus Hermanos para devorarlos..

Congratulations on all the flights
I watched it nervously
I like peregrine falcons. Unlike baby eagles which try to get rid of their siblings, most of the babies will survive and grow up together
Chicks. Birds have chicks, some chicklets. No animal has a baby, only humans have babies. This will be on the test.

Baby falcons can sense the height from the air flow, so they don't go near the edge.
I’m glad you know that bc I was afraid one of them was going over the edge. I’m also worried about them fledging off that ledge!
They can?
طائر الشاهين من احسن الطيور الجارحة واحبه كثيرا
Isn’t it wild to think that these tiny, awkward fluffballs grow up to become the ultimate aerial predators, masters of the sky
very nice video, enjoyed it , thank you ,, couldnt imagine the growth speed though,, so fast ,,anyways the city and river scenery is beautiful as well ,

Most informative video about Peregrine Falcon on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing.

A peregrine falcon in a building forest. This is a very precious video. 👍
In the wild they'd naturally nest on cliff ledges.
So fun to see their excitment running and practicing flying 👏👏❤❤
👍💝
The eagle is my spiritual guardian. I'm 70% native American . Lucky guess the parents hunt for food at that park I saw to the right.
Clearly intrigued by cameras, if they could be smaller and discreet would be better
I love they aerodynamic legs
Nice place for baby Falcon always,
If there were canopy and crib protection is PETFECT.
It's the beauties of NATURE.

Might be the craziest nesting I’ve seen lol

Once they are flying they have no reason to go back to the ledge. They simply hatch out and grow feathers there.
*They adapted well with their enviroment*

Previously, towering trees were their homes, now tall buildings are their homes.
No, they were never tree nesters. They naturally nest on high cliff faces.
I guess they can't leave until they know they can fly

Amazing, the falcon kids have better manner than human kids. No chic walk to the edge and fall off. Is that 6th sense?😅

The Optus center building, at Melbourne Australia
Put a fence around it so the chicks don't fall from that height.

Needs to be made way deeper so that the young stay in box until old enough to know what a ledge is
It's a gutter.
They grow up fast
