    I really like this idea. Probably the best DIY belt squat I’ve seen so far. Now to source the parts!

    That is a great solution to the most common problem on belt squats! Nice job man!

    Great design! Almost like a DIY Sorinex J Squat :) Going to attempt this build this week with some spare parts I have on hand.

    I already have everything to make a 5ft (50") belt squat, however I been really contemplating on buying a squatax md. I have 2 bulding disk on lower back and a bad knee. I know I will use it all the time but it's like $2000 and it will be an investment for my back and knee:)
    However if the lever arm feels and does what squatmax does close enough the I will stick with lever arm. Parts only cost me $200 with 2 weight peg plates.

    Wish I could see the locking mechanism better. Not sure how it holds?

    Hi there. I’ve called rogue and sent them a picture of the pivot bracket you mentioned that they offer. They are adamant they don’t have that. Could you please help me out with this? Thanks.

      I must be missing something. I’m referring to the piece you mention at the 2 minute mark. I appreciate you taking the time to help me.

      The rogue echo ghd stabilizer

      That’s not the piece I’m referring to either. The one with the hitch pins in it that attaches the arm that pivots that you attack the weights and belt to and the upright. That pivoting bracket. lol I give up

      It’s the one in the link I sent you first… look at picture of the rack and look at the bracket that attaches the uprights to the lower crossmember

    how do the feel though , do you like it? it looks like you kindda have to sit back in order to squat? Iam debating between a leverage arm like yours or building a box with a pulley to do cable belt squats. Right now I been doing land mine belt squats which I kindda like but I dont feel I am getting a full ROM eventhough I am using stepboxes under me. I wish the wait was right under me and not at an angle like the leverage arms or landmine squats.

    this guy said he used a landmine attached to rack, then he inserted tube of landmine inside of 3x3 rogue strip, then he drilled a hole in landmine to attach it to 3x3 rogue strip, then at end of rogue strip he added two rogue pins to load plates and also a rogue shackle to attach belt for squats. I kinnda like this idea too but I asked him what would be the difference of attaching the strip/leverage arm to landmine instead of just attachint strip/leverege arm straight to post rack? but he has not replied back to me yat

    So can I use a 35imcj rogue steip 3x3 to do this? Amd is the ROM ok since leverage arm pulls you forward when squating?

    • @CurlsintheRack
      @CurlsintheRack  2 роки тому

      You could use a full length Rogue strip, I don’t notice it pulling forward at all
