For a while now I have been trying to write a comment befitting the creative effort that you are making in these very wonderful videos. Indeed, you are a very, very creative person, and I wish you a lot of success and development. My name is Ali and I live in Germany, and I tried to write the comment with the help of Google Translate because my languages are German and Arabic
Thank you for the kind words Ali. I appreciate that you have taken the time to write this comment. I wish you well.
That’s some legit DIY belt squatting.
thanks! it's become a bit of an obsession
Constantly impressed with your industriousness when it comes to DIY stuff. Keep up the great content
Thank you so much! See you at HomeGymCon?
@@KaizenDIYGym I couldn't justify the cost, but man I want to take that trip.
Love the ingenuity and resourcefulness to explore different options to overcome the challenges of setting up a safe and effective belt squat. But boy does it seem like a lot of investment in equipment and setup each time. I suppose that's why I've stuck with straight-bar squatting and safety bar squats. But thank you for sharing the how-to options!
Heck yeah. It’s all about finding the solution that aligns with your training goals, time, budget and space. Everyone is different.
Thank you for the "Gympin best squat collar", it's a good idea !
Thanks so much! It works like a charm!
are there any US based suppliers? shipping costs from the UK double the price
You say "Serial Killer Vibes" like that's a bad thing. HA Ha ha! Thank you for sharing and stay safe.
Everything is subjective
Damn was so excited about the j cup. I have a landmine belt squat I do on my channel. But my RM3 is just a tad too short 😅
There’s got to be a way to make it work. If your RM3 is near a wall, you can attach the landmine to the wall
I like your content, really resorceful. Could you next time make some cool diy version of hammer press or any "chest" press, ideally converging, that is not made with jammer arms and is easy to replicate at home? thanx
That would be an interesting challenge
Hello kaizen.. i would like to know your thoughts on this theory.. so lets say i want to keep the landmine, and want to adress the curve.. do you think theres a solution by letting the hook be with a larger hole, that the carabin can slide in.. like a track, or maybe even just attaching a piece of flat steel loosely screwed to the hook (so it can move, like a lever exstension), and then carabiner in this piece of flat steel, so the attachment is flexible.. lastly ad like to ask if you think that a slightly angled stance on the platform is better then flat surface✌️👍✌️i really enjoy some of your diy.. thanks for contribution. ✌️✌️✌️
Lol on the thumbnail.
The best thumbnail ever!
That jcup idea might be worth trying out. How do like this setup vs the pulley tower?
I like the jcup idea, it works great. However, nothing beats my belt squat tower.
Please do a eccentric flywheel machine diy. I have the majority of it down. I just gotta figure out a cheap alternative to the flywheel
www.building-better-athlete.com/products.html this is the best one I've seen so far
How do you like the stainlness knurled handes for your jammer arms? They look nice but only offer one grip, you think theyre worth upgrading over the stock handles which offer multigrips?
What I don’t like about the stock handles is that they’re bulky and you don’t have many placement options. They also force you to keep the weights on the sides of the jammer arms. I really prefer having the weights in front. I love the stainless handles because they’re so versatile.
At time 1:31 what is that piece of equipment being used to raise the barbell off the floor in order to load the plates onto the barbell? Could that be used as a load assist to get into position to perform belt squats?
It’s a deadlift jack. Typically it only elevates the plates an inch off the ground, so it helps but not much.
EXCELLENT K !!
Thanks Mark!
@@KaizenDIYGym always for you. Enjoy your week
Is there a way to do belt squats with the entire barbell from the center instead of one end, im trying to minimize loading and unloading.
I’ve only seen that on a smith machine. Seems like it would be difficult to balance otherwise
@@KaizenDIYGym yeah that's the problem but if you can think of something. i saw one where the guy used a second belt that attached at both ends of the barbell to his body which kept it in balance
@@KaizenDIYGym here's what i mean, is this possible without that product ua-cam.com/video/Y2jtvuHnW_A/v-deo.html
Getting a platform or something for actual full ROM is the tricky part!
I have a tutorial for mine, it wasn’t very difficult
Im 62 gotta figure which belt to buy those chains eat up inner thigh
I really love The Henny Belt (thehenny.com/products/hip-belt-for-henny-attachment) coupon code KAIZEN20 saves you $20 on the belt
💪
Thanks bro!
El Kaiser aka El cowboy lol
You crack me up bro
Too bad GymPin is UK based. Shipping to the states costs more than the collar itself.
We are working on a solution to the international shipping issue.
I'm sorry but that Henney strap idea is terrible. The lever arm is constantly changing because the strap swings back and forth as you squat. I did a warm up set to try that out and I felt it all in my lower back only. A landmine is definitely the way to go.
Sure, whatever works best for your goals bro!
Thinking of using car ramps
That’ll probably work
You get the best gainz when you're just about to snap your femur.
That’s the only way
All of these setups seem complex.
My cable belt squat is much easier than these, check that one out!
@@KaizenDIYGym can you link video to this please
Any alternative to the Gympin Belt Squat Collar? It costs $40 to ship to canada 🥲
I’d say Uclips is a pretty decent alternative. theuclip.com/products/uclips
I’m not sure what the shipping is on those.
RIP ankle
Who needs it!
Belt squat? More like the witch broom squat.
I was thinking I looked more like a cowboy but witch works too!
