I don’t see why they can’t just make the game playable offline it would make everyone happy it’s not like the game needs to be playable online i barely use those online features anymore anyway they can’t just make it unplayable overnight just like that especially since people would’ve spent so much money on this game
They should, but 1) they'd have to alter the game's programming (which costs time and money that they no longer want to invest in the game--potentially a LOT depending on how core the online servers are to the game functionality) 2) to keep it on the various mobile stores they'd probably have to still provide some kind of support which they don't want to do 3) even if 2 isn't true, with no support the... game would eventually stop working anyway in a few operating system updates. 😕

The game needs to become OFFLINE instead of disappearing, and there are ways to do it correctly, if they want. I would really want to experience older events, and multiplayer features from those older events can be easily rewrote to be completed as single player (offline). Also an option to have a new town similar to fallout shelter. The game already have soo much content it's enough for years...

This game has been a part of my life everyday since October 2012. I’ve come to think of my town as a bit of a community and just can’t imagine them disappearing forever. I’m thinking of doing a “Little House on The Prairie” and on the last day nuke my town on 1/23/25.

played this game 8-5 years ago, then i read about apk mods so you could get infinite money and donuts. played it until i made a whole city. took so long to do ALL the character quests and still couldn’t get everything off seasonal events. sad it’s shutting down

12 years man. I was 28 when it started. Now I am 40 when it ends. The tree house horror was I think the first big event ever. It is my favorite and a slap in the face it ended before it.

Haven't actually touched TSTO in years but I was always glad to see it kicking around. Other games like this came and haven't yet gone, but this truly did feel like the tentpole of the genre.

I'm really sad knowing about this. Seeing The Simpsons family wave goodbye breaks my heart, and is devastating. I really hope somebody can pick up this game in the near future and save it. Although I haven't played it in a long time, I still loved this game very much, and I feel like I want to cry right now. This really REALLY sucks. Why did they have to do this to such an awesome game? Not to mention, this is the last current ongoing Simpsons game still going on considering the last game that was made, was over 10 - 15 years. I'm from Brazil and I can't believe this game is going to end, if I'm not mistaken I got to level 61 or 64, but I lost my account so I started from scratch recently. Even years from now I will always remember this game and keep it deep in my soul.

In all seriousness, I’m absolutely gutted. I scrutinised over where to put each and every item, spent hours and hours changing things around, loving every second of it, as did millions of us! Tbh, I’m not even gonna bother doing the final challenges because…. whats the point! Not only that, but it’s too sad.😔 At least when you purchased a game in the 80’s & 90’s, you took it home, clocked it, put it away, forgot about it for a year, then relived it all over again. I wish we could have at least kept our towns and worked on them in our leisure. I’ve still got so much stuff I was looking forward to building. Given that the game requires an active connection to the servers, we pretty much knew from the start that this was inevitable. That’s part of why I stopped playing… and part of why I adamantly refused to spend IRL money on it. But yeah, I kind of miss the days when buying something meant you just had it forever.
Should've done what Nintendo did for Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Make it into an offline paid game with no in-app purchases. People can continue playing the game without it being supported and the company continues to make money.

I don't think that can be the end! Wouldn't it be an idea to get stars, celebrities, youtube stars who are Simpsons fans or had guest roles there to stand up for the game? That you should write to them and speak out loudly in favour of it and use their medial reach? And can't Matt Groening or other authors stand up for it? We fans are united here in the comments or in the forums, but outside of that hardly anyone takes any notice. A protest or protest camp in front of EA headquarters, Disney etc. would also be a media statement. Lisa Simpson sometimes protested alone for her ideal with a sign, why don't we do the same as Lisa and fight for our game? Even out in the real world. We could even make history by saving a game. I even have the following suggestions: If it's the money, why not continue to run the game as a subscription pay game? For a certain amount per month, I think that would be reasonable for real fans and you could pay the server costs and new events in the long term. I'm optimistic that the game can be saved! What do you think? Please share my opinion if you are of the same opinion. It's not too late! PS So that the files are not lost after January 2025, you could initiate a crowfunding donation so that the files are stored on a server until a solution is found as to whether the game will be relaunched under a new operator.
Unless the source code gets leaked, but that just seems unlikely I'm talking about a backup copy of the games code. My singing muppets is playable somewhat but it's missing a server to make it fully playable
I originally found out about TSTO from your channel around 11 years ago and it's probably been my favourite game ever since, it certainly hurts to see it go, but I'm just happy it lasted as long as it did, thank you for all of the videos you made about it KC, and whatever you decide to do on your channel now I'll for sure be sticking around to see it, thank you again for being such an important person in this community.

I’ve been on and off with this game, but I’ve been around since the snake update back in 2013. Seeing it finally go does feel like part of a big chapter ending with all the other things happening in the world and it’s heartbreaking. I’m hoping that with the end comes new and better opportunities and we’ll see even better simpsons games in the future, maybe a Hit and Run remake or sequel? Aside that, you’ve always been the person in the back of my head when I think about Tapped Out content so thank you for the videos, here’s hoping your channel blooms into something new🙏

Its sad to see the game be shutdown after 12 years, Honestly when hearing about it I immediately thought about you because I remember watching you and playing the games as well seeing the updates they would bring such as the tree house of horror stuff, Christmas, Radioactive man and so much more. I'll admit that I stopped watching you bc the game didn't had the same spark with me but after not seeing it for so long it really hits different that you still played this game till the very end, which you deserve every respect from me man. I do hope that after it all settles that you can branch out to play some others games that your fans will love. It's been twelve years I played the game. It's been so long I had forgotten what the game was like till I watched your video. The charming dialogue was a big appeal to the game. this is truly the end of an era... i remember first playing this game in 2018 after first watching you play the game sometime in 2016, if i remember correctly. im gonna do my best to finally beat the level quests and this final event since i've never sat down and finished the main game, hopefully i can do so before january. i'm definitely going to miss this forever since it is my favorite mobile game that i sadly only ever played on bluestacks.
The files do exist and there are copies of the game that are playable someone just needs to make a private server for it to host in order to make the game fully playable

It would be nice if they just ran the updates over and over. They has 12 years of updates that would keep people playing for years. I'd be even willing to pay to keep the game. I don't think EA has the time to do this.
I played this game for a short time 9 yrs ago randomly remembered it and wanted to install it again just to find out it’s getting dumped into black hole, I personally rly liked the game and the concept I don’t have a clue why would EA make this decision, but the thing that makes me sad is all of the ppl that played, especially ones who played for long time their time they spent on game is literally not-existant all the money put into it same.Idk but all of gamers on all platforms should just unite to somehow make some global law for games and one of laws should be games can’t be deleted bcs of all of ppls time and money is invested, just overall there shouldn’t be a possibility for someone to just shit on someone’s time, work and money ppl invest loads of time, effort and money into their game accs and there shouldn’t be a possibility for someone to just delete all that.

Man I'm so sad I've been playing this game since 2014 and watching this channel for 3 years now. This channel helped me grow my town. Thank you KC for your amazing videos. So now I guess I need to spend spend spend before it shuts down.
EA said this is gonna be a lifelong game. What happened?!?!! Literally, I've played this game for 12 years. I'm devastated. Still can't believe it.
Thank you KC for all the videos on this game, I remember watching you back in like 2014 and it was always the highlight of my day. I'm excited for this new adventure and remember to keep on loving whatever you do next.
I don't think that can be the end! Wouldn't it be an idea to get stars, celebrities, youtube stars who are Simpsons fans or had guest roles there to stand up for the game? That you should write to them and speak out loudly in favour of it and use their medial reach?
And can't Matt Groening or other authors stand up for it?
We fans are united here in the comments or in the forums, but outside of that hardly anyone takes any notice. A protest or protest camp in front of EA headquarters, Disney etc. would also be a media statement. Lisa Simpson sometimes protested alone for her ideal with a sign, why don't we do the same as Lisa and fight for our game? Even out in the real world. We could even make history by saving a game.
I even have the following suggestions: If it's the money, why not continue to run the game as a subscription pay game? For a certain amount per month, I think that would be reasonable for real fans and you could pay the server costs and new events in the long term.
I'm optimistic that the game can be saved! What do you think? Please share my opinion if you are of the same opinion. It's not too late!
PS So that the files are not lost after January 2025, you could initiate a crowfunding donation so that the files are stored on a server until a solution is found as to whether the game will be relaunched under a new operator.
Unless the source code gets leaked, but that just seems unlikely I'm talking about a backup copy of the games code. My singing muppets is playable somewhat but it's missing a server to make it fully playable
Unless we can convince them to make it work without a server connection, even in the best-case scenario, we’d just be kicking the can down the road.

I originally found out about TSTO from your channel around 11 years ago and it's probably been my favourite game ever since, it certainly hurts to see it go, but I'm just happy it lasted as long as it did, thank you for all of the videos you made about it KC, and whatever you decide to do on your channel now I'll for sure be sticking around to see it, thank you again for being such an important person in this community.

I’ve been on and off with this game, but I’ve been around since the snake update back in 2013. Seeing it finally go does feel like part of a big chapter ending with all the other things happening in the world and it’s heartbreaking. I’m hoping that with the end comes new and better opportunities and we’ll see even better simpsons games in the future, maybe a Hit and Run remake or sequel? Aside that, you’ve always been the person in the back of my head when I think about Tapped Out content so thank you for the videos, here’s hoping your channel blooms into something new🙏

Its sad to see the game be shutdown after 12 years, Honestly when hearing about it I immediately thought about you because I remember watching you and playing the games as well seeing the updates they would bring such as the tree house of horror stuff, Christmas, Radioactive man and so much more. I'll admit that I stopped watching you bc the game didn't had the same spark with me but after not seeing it for so long it really hits different that you still played this game till the very end, which you deserve every respect from me man. I do hope that after it all settles that you can branch out to play some others games that your fans will love. I know its a civilization game that now is so saturated and is hard to have any lasting power but it The Simpsons Tapped Out was one of the those games where It felt every moment I spent with it felt like it was worth it even if I had to restart from 0. So Thank you man for a memorable childhood that I grew up with bc your videos I'll always look back on with a fondness for, Good luck KC!

Playing this game kept The Simpsons alive for me. Simpsons Trivia pursuit masters we have become. I will miss seeing all the new content. Honestly without the updates this game would have gotten boring long ago. Sad to see it go. My Morning coffee and I will miss you .

this is truly the end of an era... i remember first playing this game in 2018 after first watching you play the game sometime in 2016, if i remember correctly. im gonna do my best to finally beat the level quests and this final event since i've never sat down and finished the main game, hopefully i can do so before january.

It would be nice if they just ran the updates over and over. They has 12 years of updates that would keep people playing for years. I'd be even willing to pay to keep the game. I don't think EA has the time to do this.

I played this game for a short time 9 yrs ago randomly remembered it and wanted to install it again just to find out it’s getting dumped into black hole, I personally rly liked the game and the concept I don’t have a clue why would EA make this decision, but the thing that makes me sad is all of the ppl that played, especially ones who played for long time their time they spent on game is literally not-existant all the money put into it same.Idk but all of gamers on all platforms should just unite to somehow make some global law for games and one of laws should be games can’t be deleted bcs of all of ppls time and money is invested, just overall there shouldn’t be a possibility for someone to just shit on someone’s time, work and money ppl invest loads of time, effort and money into their game accs and there shouldn’t be a possibility for someone to just delete all that.
