Hands down the best setup I've seen to date. And likely the cheapest. I'm probably going to mirror this exactly, minus the anchor setup. Dang, man nicely done!
Admittedly, as you started this vid I was a skeptic. So many videos that just waste our time. I was wrong. I did need to see it!! Excellent job, man. I just bought a Pescador Pro 100 and will be using this video to set up my crate. Thanks for sharing.
Man, awesome video. I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and now live in carolinas. Just now getting into fresh water fishing and kayak fishing. This was an excellent video and saved me a ton of money! Thank you!
Excellent design - slick and practical. The moniker 'TheGoatMumbler' caused a momentary 'Deliverance' flashback, but the video proved worthy of my attention. Well done!
*Exceeded my expectations **enjoyable.fishing** recommend in quality & appearance - bought this for my 9 yr old daughter, but would recommend it for any age girl*
Very nice setup. I love how clean it is. It doesnt look awkward and overdone like most of the crates you see people slapping together. I will be building mine like that. Thanks for the great tips.
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. DIY DONE GREAT. You may have knocked this out in two days but I can see you really knew what you wanted and needed. This is a true labor of love! I bought a 10.6 Old Towne Sportman kayak recently to see how the other half lives (my other kayak is a well used LL BEAN sit in). I wanted something basic that I could build up and since storage is always a concern this is a fantastic solution. Thanks so much for sharing your mind and your time :)
I just got one the sportsman 106 yesterday I havnt gone out In water but I stood on it and was a little flimsy/squishy on deck when I would walk idk if it cus I’m on hard floor not I water or is yours a little flimsy/bend when standing ?
Holy Shiiiiiiidizzle ! You were not kidding, ABSOLUTELY the best crate, and I have watched about 1000. So glad I saw your video before I wasted my time, money and energy on trying to figure it out] by trial and error. The hinged top is PURE GENIUS ! Thank you for telling us about it with OUT any useless jibber jabber. Look forward to the rest of your videos. Nick in Redfield Arkansas.
I just got a used Vibe 130 Sea Ghost from 2017. It's my first kayak so I don't have anything to compare it to but it's nice. It does it's job, take me fishin'. I'll have to check out your videos about it. In my opinion one of those tackle boxes is enough on the boat, and a soft bag full of soft plastics. If you find the fish they should bite lots of different stuff. A box of jig heads, weedless rigging hooks and a few hard baits are all I take for the saltwater. A few paddle tails, shrimp imitations, and jerk shads are all it takes. Mine are either Gulp, Z Man, or Salt Strong usually.
wow..great setup. nicest i've seen yet. i will try to make mine very similar to yours....thanks...lol interesting things for me to do during winter...:) take care ,buddy + nicely made video.
I'm looking to make one of these crates with the wheel axels permanently installed into the crate, to use as a method of transporting my kayak as well. I'm almost finished with the idea. And then I can utilize your ingeniously made fishing crate. Great job.
I'm using your anchor storage idea for my crate! I've seen so many people using the tube on the inside where it gets in the way and takes up valuable space. Your idea is so much better!
I made similar crate box, i used small tie-wraps for hinges on one side , on the other end (front of box) installed a plastic knob on one half and a small bungie cord on the other to keep it closed and secured. On the top section i purchased a cutting board and cut it with a 1/2 inch over hag on all sides, drilled two 3/8th holes on the front and two more on the back side of the cutting board about 3/4 from the (front end and back end) side of the board and opened the holes to the sides and with a bungie cord attached to each end of the small crate to create a lock and hinge using the holes on the cutting board. Everything else is similar two rod holders on each side, knife i keep it somewhere else, i have a similar anchor setup but not installed and multiple inter changeable jig boxes for different fishing scenarios
Saw this video awhile back. Since then I have customized my crate system. Just stumbled across this video again. Enjoyed it even more this time as I can now really appreciate a well put together crate. I might steal your anchor tube idea. I like what I did with mine but I like yours better. Not sure if my well is wide enough though.
This is one of the nicest setups I've seen. And that is counting the crazy expensive options out there. Well friggin done!!! You selling these on Etsy yet?
Could you post up details on the mounting procedure, including hardware, for the anchor tube? I'm curious how the rope and anchor are not getting snagged when deployed. Awesome job by the way, very clean kayak crate!
I made a crate system like this using the zip ties for hinges. I think I need to make the slots bigger as it ratchets tighter and tighter with each opening. I saw another diy using offset cabinet door hinges. I think they would be sturdier and Align better. Buy heavier stiffer crates over lighter.
Oh man, when you were spinning the crate around to show all the angles at the end of your video, I noticed your "Don't Mess With Texas" sticker. I just caught a glimpse of it on a small screen & thought it said: "Don't Fish With Jesus". I burst out laughing because I was thinking about all the fishing parables in the Bible & realised he would be the last person you'd want to fish with if it were a competition. He would best you every time to the point of seriously pissing you off. He'd be catching them all while you came up empty handed. Now if you were fishing together, you would probably go home with lots of fish. At any rate, not being from the USA, I don't always automatically recognise all your slogans. Cheers from Canada. BTW, that's a smart setup you made for yourself.
u might like the clothes hanger anchor set up so u can keep that coordage organized, but sweeeet setup there i will definitely incorporate some of those ideas
Hands down the best setup I've seen to date. And likely the cheapest. I'm probably going to mirror this exactly, minus the anchor setup. Dang, man nicely done!
love that anchor setup. so clean and functional.
Wow, you hit it out of the park with this one. What a great idea! Thanks for sharing it. I'll be making a few of these soon.
Thanks for watching!

Holy Shiiiiiiidizzle !

A very nice job, thank you for sharing!
i have been watching to many of these
You were right, I think that is the coolest setup I have seen. I have the same cart as well and they store so well
I'm really liking the "launch tube" anchor storage, well done!
I think I am going to add that to mine
I'm copying this entire design only because I can't buy a better cart. Well done, easy to follow video with a good descriptive narration.
I almsot didn't bother but I'm glad I did. You're a clever man with some great ideas. Thanks buddy.

Great job , great ideas thanks Hand.from Ohio.
Absolutely awsome crate genius
Good looking crate box💥🙌🏻
Cool setup indeed. Thanks for sharing.
I like it, very nice and clean ....very doable thanks
Just found this. Best one yet. Only thing is i would mount rob holder on angle for over hanging trees and easier to cast without hitting behind you
Hands-down the best crate video I’ve seen
good crate. i like that you actually spent the time and a few extra bucks to make it look nice too.
Very nice setup buddy. Definitely worth a watch! 👍🏻

Very nice crate and it may indeed be the best, certainly the best ive seen

Great job!! Loved your comment ....”It’s probably not the arrow but the Indian!” LOL!😂🤣. The simplicity and thought that went into it is great👍
I plan on making this, thanks for the share. You knocked this out pretty nice. I'm digging the extra tray on top.
Super cool, dude! You were right....I needed to see ONE more crate video! Thank you.

Lowes does carry it. I was looking at them yesterday. 13.oo each or 19.99. Yours looks awesome
Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice. Best one I've seen yet. Some very good ideas there. My only suggestion would be a retractable anchor rope.

I really like the anchor system and the crate top shelf. Nice job buddy !
Great video thanks for sharing
Good stuff!
Well done
