The Long Dark - Interloper 500 - Part 33
Вставка
- Опубліковано 17 лют 2024
- After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

i am only half way into the video, but it seems that you always forget you have enough mushrooms 😂. Great video so far
I knew as soon as he put them away last time that he was going to forget xD
was there not another reishi tea in the drawer lol
My granddaughter had pain like that off and on and eventually got so bad she went to emergency room twice before they figured it was gallbladder. Out it came and she was good as new. Well wishes for your wife!
In my opinion, the double-click to eat is a bug. You double-click to pick-up, and you double-click to transfer to a container. If anything, double-click should just drop. The only times I get sick are when I'm accidentally double-clicking to drop something because of muscle memory.
I could definitely see how people would get messed up that way. Dangerous!
On the parasites, I've found it was more beneficial taking the meds or drinking the tea on a schedule. It helped me last time I had it but it did the same thing to me. Getting worse as it got better
44:38 looks like you accidentally dropped a cat tail stalk with the cat tail heads. Its only 1 but every calorie counts!
finally gone with those parasites... and the bedroll is ready. i guess the new name of the game is read like its the latest harry potter book :D of course with some nice der steaks and some refreshing water. you love to see it. keep up the great work
yep parasites causes incremental fatigue and tiredness since the enzymes which parasites secrete causes wounds to remain open while keeping them numb... during treatment the those enzymes are broken down which causes pain and extreme discomfort or sometimes even bloody diarroea but flush those parasites out of intestines... it's much worse than it looks if it become serious... 😂so please folks cook your meat well if it's from a unknown source coz those taste buds can heal faster than intestines... or eat some veggies rich in iron and vitamin c since they help in those scenarios...
Try to remember to heat up your coffee for the heat bonus before you drink it just before going outside if you're going to use coffee at all.
Just binged this series, got the last video and hungry for more! Looking forward to the next update soon!
Now you can read all those books! Yay!
I wore my Roy #33 jersey tonight. Let’s Go Avalanche!
Well Hallelujah, thank the maker that Will has one less thing to complain about! 😅 Why does it not surprise me though that soon after that he sprains his ankle? haha! Congrats on the level 5 cooking, and it was nice to see the bedroll put to good use. Hope Mrs. Accurize gets well real soon. Take care and thanks so much for the video!
Patrick Roy being French Canadian probably has something to do with the way he pronounces his name. I know we pronounce it RWAH, not really an accurate english equivalent
Just saw this after I posted the same thing lol
Actually used to go up to Red Lake and visit First Nations around there with my family when I was a kid. Had bannock with some kind of fish (I think walleye or pike) a couple of times. Cool addition to the game. Pronunciation sounds fine to me, not that I would know. Loving the series either way!
Great Video As Always!
18:20 I could see that but I could also see having it start out mild and get worse then start to get better as you take your meds but if you stop taking your meds it starts to get worse again
Awesome. was debating on starting another Ash Canyon run but then this video showed up. Excellent!
I thought you got sick from eating a raw piece of bear meat, by accident.
Cleared the board!
Your fiber connection is really paying off for me
I have two Thief Simulator 2 videos already uploaded and scheduled. It took me literally 8 minutes to upload this video and both of those! It definitely helps with the workflow process!!! 😉
I dont know. I used to love the long dark back in the day, because of the permadeath and it was a really big, punishing and mysterius game back in 2015. Now with all the pro interloper guys on UA-cam.. Is the game fun to you at all? there is no risk in the game anymore, all the mechanics are mastered.
I think they changed how you get credit for cooking. No need to do tiny amounts.
Hey accurize. Great content. I'm Canadian real I don't know who said that but where I live we call it bannock. We talk exactly the same as people in Michigan and Ohio. I drove truck for 48 years and I never needed a interpreter. Stay safe out there with the baddies you have to deal with.
I got the same problem in my interloper run, first time ever catching parasites. And it was like 2% chance, thx game, very kind of you
I've never paid attention, does cooking a can of soup go toward the cooking skill because I've noticed you never actually cook them.
Also I thought you had enough tea to finish your treatment or did I miss something
Level 5 cooking! Now you can eat all the food poisoning food you want!
Roy is pronounced Wah because its a French name. Roy is French for king. Also the French dialect spoken by people from Quebec is based on a dialect that is almost 400 years old as it was what was spoken by the early settlers including some of my ancestors
On pronunciation, a lot of Canadian is the way it is because it is derived from French, a lot of which doesn't make sense to begin with. XD Another one that doesn't make sense to me that I've always shaken my head and sighed at is Brett Favre (intentionally pronouncing it FAVE-ER).
Yeah. Farve was a weird one too. 😉
Hallelujah! The parasites are gone
44:38 - did you leave a cattail stalk on the ground? on the right?
yup
the name ROY is how they write the old roi in 1400 it mean king patrick roy was the best goaler
It's kinda weird to me that the tiredness and hp hit continue to climb the entire time you have the parasites, then suddenly it's just...gone. That's not how sickness works, typically. It should start where it ends, and be almost a non issue toward the end. But that's the game part, I guess. Like them saying you can't harvest a rabbit without a knife. I'm from Oklahoma son. I've skinned rabbits starting with my teeth. Also would like to be able to make a early game blade by banging 2 rocks together. Cause I've done it. Make it almost useless, make it wear out almost immediately. I get what they're trying to do, and I LOVE the game, but it takes me out of the immersion.
That being said, other than missing the fact that you had the stuff to fix your problem the whole time (lol) well done dealing with a bad roll, sir.
Also, in the last 2 days I've watched from when you got the parasites till you solved them. Very instructive.
Annnnnd naturally, this is why I usually don't comment lol. The man agrees with the timeline of the sickness. I'll stop talking now.
I’m pretty sure Patrick Roy is French Canadian so it’s the French pronunciation of Roy…
I’m in bed now because my appendix ruptured a week ago. I don’t recommend the experience.
Is what it is
Yay the parasites are gone!!!
Family first allways
Im glad your wife is ok. 👍
Hello
Hey there!
Patrick Roy is pronounced the way it is because it is a french name. Also kind of weird to tell Canadians they are pronouncing a canadian word wrong. one last thing I would like to point out that canada does NOT have a singular distinct accent. We are the second largest country in the world and have almost as many distinct regional accents as you own considerably smaller country.
Well English letters have specific sounds. So that is the standard I’m using. There is no way the ending of “nick” should be spelled “nock”. Beside I can say whatever I want to our 51st state…’Merica!😂
French isnt a real language though.
