You're very brave for taking sunday driver in a insane pop, Louisville run 😲 Like others in the comment here have said, it should be worth 4 points min. Driving slow isn't the debuff, the debuffs are: Slow acceleration, unable to plow through large groups, off road travel is a crawl, towing is only possible in the most favorable conditions and you also burn more gas (actual game mechanic, Speed Demon also burns more gas, but less than sunday driver lol)
@@curtisyue182 I mean... it's not really dumb... Being a "Sunday Driver" could imply you also don't know how to correctly and efficiently shift gears, meaning you often end up driving in a low gear at a constant high rev, basically burning through fuel without even going that fast instead of shifting into a higher gear. It's a mistake commonly made by beginners and people who don't understand the mechanics behind the car. It's also really bad for the environment, to top it all off. Hence, it does make sense how it'd burn more than "properly" shifting gears as is the case for Speed Demon.
Yooo the "Barricade myself in the bathroom to sleep" strategy when tired away from base is too relatable 🤣 Excellent video! Appreciate the storytelling and effort 👍

This... Is a ridiculously well done piece of work homie. I'm legitimately impressed. You breaking up the flow with real time check ins seems like a simple setup, but not everyone has the personality for it. Subscribed af.
A freeze dryer is one of the best ways to preserve food. Statistically, there should be at least one in the city, so adding a mod to add freeze dryers would not be cheating. Also, canning and vacuum sealing.
I'm only an hour in, but I am impressed by the editing, enjoy the story-telling style of the video and can definitely tell a whole lot of love and work went into this video! You earned yourself a subscription. Good show.
Love this 100 days thing we see these days, condencing 10s of hours or vastly more gameplay down into a still nicely lengthy chunk with some narration to help us understand their intentions. Zomboid unfortunately tends to drop off after awhile once the person playing gets secure, needs less, or becomes complacent. This did manage to keep me engaged however. Great work, making me want to play again even though I'm pretty bad and tend to get bored once the main exploration is done.
Absolutely phenomenal. I had never watched your content before, prior to this; but I can assure you now I'll be going back through what else you've made. I watched the whole thing, and was entertained the whole way through. Excellent job.
this is the best video in the genre. -Amazing naration with a good balance between role playing and meta, and perfect amount of fast forward/cut to keep it moving. Looking forward for more. This should have a million view.
I’ve watched countless PZ videos and have over a thousand hours in the game myself and this is one of the best bits of content I’ve ever seen for it. Phenomenal job, my man.
I’ve never played this game, I do not plan to ever play this game, I didn’t know this game even existed before, but I’ve watched the whole video. 😂 fantastic play through, narration, editing and I loved the irl instructionals, I’ve subscribed. Now I’m off to add 15 mins of strafing to my workout routine 😂
I have to say, this was one of the best 100 days episodes I’ve ever seen. Your editing, your narrating, your obvious and inspiring skill with the game, there wasn’t a second in this entire experience that I wasn’t completely brought into the content. Not only was this entertaining but it was educational. Having only spent a little time in this game just narrowly avoiding death (and then dying soon after) I walk away from this with newfound knowledge of how to play in such a way that will transform my future spent playing. I cannot stress enough how much im anticipating another episode like this one, it was by far some of the most enjoyable content I’ve seen in a long, long time.
Never thought id sit down and watch a almost 3 hour video on PZ in one go but here we are! Awesome content excellently edited/produced! Thank you for the hard work its really paid off!
I LOVED this man. It was cozy to watch this in short bits and brought a lot of memories me and my bud had playing PZ ourselves. I hope to see you continue this style of videos with different challenges. Like maybe a harsh Winter. Or surviving with sprinters. But it was a fun watch!! Hope to see more! One thing I can't stress enough is the way this is edited. It's engaging and nothing drags despite it being a nearly 3 hour video. It felt like a 15 minute one simply for the well edited segments and fast cutting for the combat sections.
dunno if you know , you may but I understand stress makes us forget, you could lure a zombie into a garage at the storage facility and kill it, if it drops a key you have access to all connected rooms
Amazing job of scripting this video for those of us who don't really understand all the intricacies of the game. You really made it a grand adventure story. New sub here, my friend! (I'm actually from Lexington, Kentucky and this is how we think of Louisville nowadays lol.)
Wow… this was the best gameplay documentary I think I’ve ever seen. Everything - the narration, the video editing (ESPECIALLY this - this must have taken forever to edit), and even the re-enacted intermissions were top notch. Excellent job on both the 100 Days and this tremendous docu-gameplay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hell of a video. I found myself at the edge of my seat a lot of the time. The story telling, the editing, and the raw content all worked together perfectly. Can't wait for you to come out with more content
I'm rarely able to watch multiple hours of content due to having some pretty serious ADHD, but this one kept me hooked. Watched it all in 1 sitting, even. Fantastic work. Very entertaining.
the editing is fantastic. the story telling and pacing are great too! considering i've never seen this channel before im shocked by the quality of the video and wondering why it isnt more popular

Hell of a watch. I cant imagine how much time it took to play this, let alone edit it all together into a cohesive narrative and then smooth the audio over the top like that. Well, well done.
I was one point shy of the build I wanted. I can now say I wholeheartedly regret my decision. It is easily one of the worst traits and almost got me killed on numerous occasions.
this is super entertaining, i love your narration, makes me pretty immersed into the story. explaining the spawns for the blocking kinda broke the immersion a bit but it also seems neccessary to understand why you are doing what you are doing
Never even played Project Zomboid, but I am glad I clicked on this video. Watched it through and thoroughly enjoyed the commentary and thought process.
As I've gotten older I've developed an intolerance to so many things and bad habits. Such as unedited let's plays, saying "like" or "um" too much, the list goes on... but you don't do any of those! This was a very enjoyable watch! Well done!
I mean, unedited Let's Plays aren't inherently an issue, barring massive volumes of dead air or griding I don't see an issue with having a commentator posting their entire gameplay from beginning to end. Especially for Blind LPs, where the entire draw is every second of a new player's first experience.
videos abruptly starting is one thing. being half asleep and having caral sagan talking about Louisville with intense music over the top jump scare you is another thing entirely
I've never had any interest in zombies. Boring as F. But why did I click on this video? And why did I watch the entire thing spread out over three evenings? I guess I liked what I saw. And now I'm actually interested in this Project Zomboid game. Thanks for the video. Must have taken you a lot of time to edit.
I’m not gonna lie the quality, editing, and dedication went into this video is so good for a small channel. It’s so unlucky that project zomboid isn’t a huge game otherwise this level of content would’ve blown the fuck up. Keep it up !!

One really has to wonder... What the heck is the army doing in these games?! When a single dude with Molotov cocktails is capable of killing thousands. One must wonder of the army, with napalm, isn't capable of doing the same on a much bigger scale
I dunno if you still care or already found out, but the answer is that they're basically all infected. The virus started by spreading via fluidic contact (aka bites) only, and the military was struggling to keep things under wraps but still broadly managing to keep it mostly contained to Knox County. Then an airborne strain of the infection appeared, and things collapsed almost immediately. Pretty much everyone is infected, and if any remnants of the government exist at all, they've sealed themselves away from the world. The survivor you play as happens to be immune to the airborne strain, but not the fluidic one.
Damn that is some skill. I’ve just got started and to say this game has a learning curve is an understatement. Keep putting videos out like this dude ❤
Hey Alex, for any of us attempting to do the same, would the courtyard be a better place to build overall, making the nearby grass zones into farmlands, using the buildings as a place to keep the enemies at bay on first floor and destroying stairs to turn floor+ into part of a massive base?
dude this video was amazing, it left me searching desperately for more like it, yet i found none. Please make more of this content, your editing and story telling skills are very impressive. thank you for this masterpiece
I dont normally like or comment on videos (yes i know thats bad)... However, with the time and effort that went into this video, you deserve the growth. Well done, great video! Great format and great commentary. Keep it up!
I was a little skeptical at first when i saw "movie" in the title. Now that i finished it, i fully agree. That was better than a lot of movies i've seen. Need more of this!
Hey Alex, grats on the video, great job! So dope. Some unsolicited sound-mixing advice from a sound engineer: A voice-over should always be relatively louder than you'd think. And everything that isn't a voice-over should always be quieter than you'd think. Right now your VO and the SFX/music are all roughly the same volume. It makes for a very chaotic sound mix where all the elements are battling for attention, and for longer videos, can be very exhausting to listen to. You can think of it like this, as a loose rule of thumb - You'd think that a natural sounding mix could look something like VO: 100% volume, SFX: 90% volume, Music: 80% volume. That just feels intuitive, right. But actually a natural and balanced sounding mix is a lot closer to VO:100, SFX: 30%, Music: 20%. It's just something about how the ear directs attention. If someone is talking, that's what your ear will focus on. And you need some space in the mix to allow you ears to do that in a comfortable way. Hope you'll find that helpful. Good luck!
I've been playing zomboid for a while and a few months ago, probably after seeing this thumbnail, I set my group a challenge, we are now playing weekly sessions where we are trying to survive in the same compound you settled in, it's obviously easier when you have 5-10 survivors but this video is really well made and also gave me ideas for how we should proceed. 10/10 video, liked and subscribed
Congratulations on the great content, it is something fresh, fun, and very well narrated. I laughed a lot at the Woodcraft fragment and it made me excited to continue a mod wip on the tapes of VHS I wrote the last year, but never published.
Just a few small notes regarding improving your gameplay. 16:40 Your decision to leave your safe zone, full of resources yet to be looted, to venture into the crowded streets. Work with proximity, and the lowest risk. Furthermore, the Molotov strategy, with the fire expanding, is not good. Unless you have a way to keep the zombies away from your objective. For example, car alarms, or police sirens. 27:38 Improve that stamina. You can't run among zombies for long if you're out of breath every two seconds. One point less that you can perfectly level with myopia (and equip yourself with glasses).
43:20 you can check faster if there is gas. Just have a empty bottle on your inventory, and press v. If there is a option to loot gas, it will indicate. That way, u can check on the run, between zombies
Great video, definitely in the top tier of the project Zomboid content out there. I can’t fathom the number of hours you had to put in playing (almost) flawlessly and the hours editing and writing the voiceover. Congrats man, you pushed through and it was worth it. Rewards will come soon enough !

The reading in the passenger seat of a car nearly got me the other day until I realised that the button to stop reading if you can't move was escape but took me a panic filled 30 seconds with a zombie incoming before I realised. This was after I'd completed my farmstead base and had everything under control and is to date my longest playthrough so to die because of that would have devastated me but it's also one of the reasons that I love this game. Just the tiniest lapse in concentration doing something silly and it's game over

i'm good with default settings. it lets me learn and progress, continues being challenging while I learn other stuff to keep myself prepped and protected. see you on kick

Yea, its dumb. Sunday driver should burn way less gas, not way more 🤦♂️
@@curtisyue182 I mean... it's not really dumb...
@@pantommy Good point.
@@curtisyue182 yes speed demon is a good point! (a shot at comedy)
@@pantommydidn't know that, I usually pick Sunday Driver's, as I am really bad at driving lol
Yooo the "Barricade myself in the bathroom to sleep" strategy when tired away from base is too relatable 🤣
Excellent video! Appreciate the storytelling and effort
👍
that woodcraft episode really put the spotlight on the kind of things you can do starting as a construction worker. Such craftsmanship.
High quality content. For a 2h40m runtime, some good editing, and the RL cuts, I can only imagine how long this actually took you. You've earned a subscription, and I think you'll get a lot more if you keep it up.
PZ day length is 1 hour, so at least 100 hours of gameplay. Not sure how long editing takes! I'm guessing even longer.
@@jamesharrison1579more like 30 to 45 minutes a day, since he does sleep.
@@reigoll Oh yeah, I forgot about that!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this experience that I’d consider the most important: NEVER TAKE THE SUNDAY DRIVER TRAIT.
Amazing video, man!
Rarely something that could hold my attention for that many hours and I watched it with one break.
Both your gameplay was good and narrating/storytelling as well.
Subscribed.
Tbh same for me I literally watched like an hour and 30 minutes for the first time and then continued to the end (I still think that a million views for this is criminal)
This... Is a ridiculously well done piece of work homie. I'm legitimately impressed.
You breaking up the flow with real time check ins seems like a simple setup, but not everyone has the personality for it.

Congrats!!! One of the best Zomboid videos I've ever seen! Greetings from another content creator, from Brazil! ❤💪
Great work, making me want to play again even though I'm pretty bad and tend to get bored once the main exploration is done.
one of the best Zomboid videos ever created - keep up the great work!
I really enjoy your editing style visualising objectives, objects, etc
Absolutely phenomenal. I had never watched your content before, prior to this; but I can assure you now I'll be going back through what else you've made. I watched the whole thing, and was entertained the whole way through. Excellent job.
Criminal lack of subscribers for the view count :/
No nothing criminal about it
You can watch a video and not be a subscriber dude....
Never seen this game before. The depth of detail is amazing.
this is the best video in the genre.
The ungodly amount of time playing/recording the gameplay, editing the video, and narrating this must have been insane. RESPECT.
Loved every moment of this series, happy to see it all in one video now!
"I consumed lollies before blasting my horn around the mall." I feel like there's a euphemism here
I LOVED this man.
Such an epic tale man. Can tell you put a lot of love and passion into this play through, was really awesome to watch.
Amazing job of scripting this video for those of us who don't really understand all the intricacies of the game. You really made it a grand adventure story. New sub here, my friend! (I'm actually from Lexington, Kentucky and this is how we think of Louisville nowadays lol.)
i love that you keep trying out new locations for bases. gives the community new ideas. good work👍
Wow… this was the best gameplay documentary I think I’ve ever seen.
This is the best zombie movie I have ever seen. Sometimes I hate UA-cam but then I find stuff like this and it drags me back..
this is currently the 9th video when you search "project zomboid" so congrats, you potentially are about to blow through 10k subs w/ this video alone my dude :)
Hell of a watch. I cant imagine how much time it took to play this, let alone edit it all together into a cohesive narrative and then smooth the audio over the top like that. Well, well done.
This has been my favourite project zomboid video I’ve ever watched. absolutely hooked from start to finish, the dedication is impeccable
This is like "diary of an apocalypse" books. Love it. They shoud make the original game more real, like realy good durability, etc.
sunday driver is such a bad thing to take for only 1 point
I was one point shy of the build I wanted. I can now say I wholeheartedly regret my decision. It is easily one of the worst traits and almost got me killed on numerous occasions.
this is super entertaining, i love your narration, makes me pretty immersed into the story. explaining the spawns for the blocking kinda broke the immersion a bit but it also seems neccessary to understand why you are doing what you are doing
Cool compilation, here’s to the next character or game
i would pay to see part 2, ”Clearing the South half”
Looking forward to watching it all the way through! 30 minutes in and loving it! here's hoping the video blows up for you man!
Sunday driver-one of the worst percs for long-term survival
The cuts and narration were on point, which made this a pleasure to watch. Thanks!
Yea bro this had me entertained. Your skits are hilarious 😂
Wonderful. Just wonderful. Was having a really hard time staying on task in game, this is giving me mile-markers as to what progress i should be making towards days 20+. Thank you so much for the video and all of your careful and truly awesome editing.
this video is a good example of why you never take sunday driver. there are so many examples of you almost dying because you didnt have the jam under the hood to get out of there.
Knowledge is the foundation. Then execution of that knowledge. Once you know what you should be doing the game gets much easier.
dude the most amazing thing is you pronounced Louisville correctly !!! holy shit!!!!!
Thanks!
Every time he tried to keep the flames from spreading further than intended, they spread further than intended.
Hey Alex, for any of us attempting to do the same, would the courtyard be a better place to build overall, making the nearby grass zones into farmlands, using the buildings as a place to keep the enemies at bay on first floor and destroying stairs to turn floor+ into part of a massive base?
I would love to see a sequel to this; take back all of Louisville!
I'm looking to make my own series/project like this someday and I will say the editing is Insane and deserves recognition.. A fellow speed demon.
I look forward to it and I'm glad you liked it. You should reply when you've done it and I'll check it out!
dude this video was amazing, it left me searching desperately for more like it, yet i found none. Please make more of this content, your editing and story telling skills are very impressive. thank you for this masterpiece
Look up PZ 300 Days: The Movie, its a very similar and really well done video
I dont normally like or comment on videos (yes i know thats bad)...
However, with the time and effort that went into this video, you deserve the growth. Well done, great video! Great format and great commentary. Keep it up!
U did a really hard work on this. It deserves respect
You drove right by solar panels just outside your base.
Where?
My cabbages!
28:30 PLEASE DON'T BREAK THE DRIVER'S WINDOW!!!!
29:26 you only get Xp for arm and disarm the same piece once.
42:18 for fastest looting, just dobleclick on the item you want to pik (instead of draging one item to your inventory)
I really like the songs choices for each short chapter of the video! ❤
This video was 👌 I’d played Zomboid years ago when it was way more basic and gave up on it. Then I saw this, watched it over 3 nights, and now I’m 20 hours into my 7th restart lol. Thankyou for sharing this and making something that is genuine art.
The production value of this video is absolutely insane! I'm a noob at PZ, but really enjoyed everything in this. Thanks
Had tons of fun watching this. Especially while playing the Pokemon Go Cat Mastery Ice Timed Research lmao. Great stuff! Loved these 100 days
going to rewatch this and take a shot every time he says uncontested
The reading in the passenger seat of a car nearly got me the other day until I realised that the button to stop reading if you can't move was escape but took me a panic filled 30 seconds with a zombie incoming before I realised. This was after I'd completed my farmstead base and had everything under control and is to date my longest playthrough so to die because of that would have devastated me but it's also one of the reasons that I love this game.
Just the tiniest lapse in concentration doing something silly and it's game over
What a run! I loved this story line and the way you edited it. Crazy that you can make this game so engaging to watch. Gave me a lot of ideas for how to play the basic game. Thanks for the entertainment!
Just picked this game up during the spring sale and wanted a good idea of how the game is played.
UA-cam definitely did a good job recommending me this one. Super well put together, brother. Lots of ass clenching moments, I couldn't even imagine pulling this off.
The audible sigh of relief over you surviving that laceration I gave. That's the strength of good storytelling.
Found my way into this game and video space purely by luck, and watching this and countless other 100 day videos has convinced me to buy pz to support the developers regardless of the lack of time i have to play it.
Besides, i can always come here and support creators and gamers like you instead.
Absolutely satisfying video, gameplay, and story you have created here.
Well done!
Epic journey!
Double clicking on an item will transfer it to your active inventory.
There could be valuable books hidden behind book covers. Always remove them!
Absolutely love this, between the recreation of life and living VHSes IRL to your way of speaking, I was gonna make a 100 days video but this is way better than anything I could hope to make
