Mark Meer is the best voice actor! I got excited when I saw his name come up in the credits. Is he doing the voice of Grey Mother too? I know he can do a great old lady’s voice.
Fiskypoo.... to make your own jerky is simple. Get a cut of meat, steak or roast, cut thin strips, marinate it with your favorite seasonings, and either dehydrate it in an air fryer, or use your oven at its lowest temperature setting for a few hours. Just make sure that if you are using an oven, to prop the door open about a half an inch, so that moisture can escape.
Stoked to see you playing this! If it's okay to make some recommendations (which you can absolutely choose to ignore), consider thoroughly searching the town before going too far in the objectives. Not sure if you did this and edited it out, but I'd also suggest checking your inventory / clothing just to make sure you have on what you need and in good working order. I don't know why, but this game feels like the time we were hit by the earthquake that happened in turkey this year. It was all snowy and a lot of buildings were gone, i was just wandering around and trying to gather some wood around in the village, really a memorable experience

Yes! So excited to see a playthrough of The Long Dark, its so good! Glad story mode is bit forgiving because I was STRESSING OUT! I've recently started up survival mode on Stalker difficulty. Once you have played through the story meaning the 4 episodes that are available right now. I recommend playing through the Tales from the Far Territory DLC. It provides lot's of greatly needed backstory for episode 5 when it will be released.
The Long Dark is such a good survival game. Its sad its so underrated. Its challenging and fun and also infuriating. Ah the memories. Just currently waiting for the last episode to come out to stream it like I did with early episodes. The holloween events were awesome, with a mix of horror with survival. Oh the wolves.... the wooooooolves!

Wow. I recall seeing The Long Dark a long time ago, maybe 4, 5 or 6 years ago.. I can't remember.. It was really cool, but the guy I used to watch never finished it and I ended up losing interest. I was in high school back then and I wasn't really into story driven games so I didn't seek the rest of the storyline anywhere else. Seeing this now brings back memories, and gets me really excited to hopefully see everything the game has to offer on your channel. I hope this will become a series.

Welcome to TLD Fisk! Its definitely one of the most underrated not well known survival games out there for sure. Edit: Cash is mostly used for tinder via fire starting. Also you can holster weapons like the throwing stone so you're not just walking around with it lol Subbed and looking forward to the potential series!
Fisk! You should bring this back as a collaboration with Foster, kind of like how the Neebs crew did it. I know it's not multiplayer, but you two can put together a series in the survival mode where you guys are in separate regions, and just talk over a radio, there's even a hand radio out in forsaken airfield that you could use to roleplay that. If not, just do a survival run where you create your own story.
I have 500 hours in this game. It truly is a masterpiece survival game. And the longevity of it is unreal

I gave up on story mode early on; I may jump back in now that I know what I'm doing. I'm almost 200 hours in and I still can't attempt Interloper.
Even after so many hours I have only managed 1 week in interloper. So dont worry and keep dying 😄

The safe... You have to crack it. I dont think there is code in the story line for the small safe. Just turn and listen.

@@Fisk Nothing respawns only twigs rocks and animals, no searchable loot respawns I was playing survival mode its same in story.
I checked this game out briefly so long ago when it was still in EA, it's crazy seeing it now and how it's changed since.
