    i have exactly the same machine. I havent done any cleaning job for 6 months since I got it and two days ago, it gave an error for the second time after descaling. the hot water, steamer and brewer stop working in 3-4 seconds and it beeps three times. i found no solution other than waiting for a couple of days then it is fixed. I will clean it regularly from now on and this video is so helpful. thanks a lot.

    I would have never realized or known about cleaning the Machine out thoroughly. Im in the process of getting that Machine so its good to know whats to be expected and this was eye an opening experience cause no one else on UA-cam showing all sorts of Expresso machines even mentions it or talks about this important process they just wipe it off with a towel. Bravo for your educational and much needed input! 👏 new sub here just for that.

      Mihal is correct, and I had noticed that some coffee are harden which under the impeller, it will continue to build up and damage the impeller. I have seen quite a number of cases where impeller is damaged. Well, Martella can always 3D print one as it has the 3D printer at home.

    One thing to ask please, as showen in the video that the four holes of steam wand do not steam constantly. That ist exactly what happens with my barista pro. it steam very well as it ahould do, but I noticed that one hole does not steam like the others, is that normal or it only happens with my Machine..?
    Thanks for your answer..

    • @CaffeMartellaSingapore
      @CaffeMartellaSingapore  2 роки тому

      I think the pro's steaming power is not strong enough for 4 holes. As such the steam is not distributed equally to all the 4 holes.

    How do you clean the outer surface layer of the machine to keep it shiny at all time?

    • @CaffeMartellaSingapore
      @CaffeMartellaSingapore  3 роки тому +1

      You can see in my video I have a wet towel and a dry towel. After making coffee, I always wipe down my machine first with a wet towel and then follow by the dry one. The dry one is the one that make it shiny as it buffs the stainless steel. If you only wipe with wet towel, the machine surface condition will get worse and worse.

    • @CaffeMartellaSingapore
      @CaffeMartellaSingapore  3 роки тому

      hi how long have you own this machine and how frequent do you descale? How hard is the water in your area? I am suspecting the normal descale is not enough to remove the build up of the calcium carbonate in the thermal jet coil and hence causing the choking of water coming out.

    • @CaffeMartellaSingapore
      @CaffeMartellaSingapore  3 роки тому +1

      hi. Grind size is different for everyone of us. The build in breville grinder is not consistent across the same model and the grind size will depend on the type of roast, types of beans, relative humidity, etc. I have a customer who uses the same beans as I do and his setting is inner burr 3 and outer burr between 1 to 5. As on my machine, I have it at inner burr 6 and coarse setting between 1 to 5.
