Love food lusts take on a great summer lettuce wedge salad. Crisp iceberg lettuce with a nice balance of veggies and bacon. Creamy blue cheese dressing. Yum. My husbands favorite. Happy 4th to you.🤓
I always make this for father's day, it's a man's salad! (I mean that in a non toxic way) I love classic food like this, it never gets stale because the flavour profile is spot on. Delicious recipe as always. Cheers.
Maytag blue cheese...interesting! I have been trying two new cheeses a month, all year. Maytag will be on this months trial. Salads looked great! Happy Fourth!!
Thank you Robert. You must have a subscription to a cheese club? If you like blue cheese, you should definitely try this one. Have a safe Holiday my friend. 😀
Food Lust , I do love blue cheese! Something my half Italian mother and I share. Inadvertently, I got started on the 2 new cheeses a month last January. There were some unusual cheeses at the grocery store after New Years. Just bought two and really enjoyed the adventure. Then it quickly turned into; “life’s too short” not too, after the virus took hold. That twist to a recipe or info on something to try really makes me appreciate your videos. Thank you! P.S. eating some Meyer Lemon biscottis while leaving this message...lol
Looks delicious for a hot summer evening, loved the little bacon bundles, fried onions, and baby plum tomatoes as an additional topping! Can you please tell me the type of blue cheese you used in the dressing its self, I got the Maytag for the topping, but what was the other one please. I noticed last week several types at our grocery store.
Hi Ronald, it was a Danish style bleu cheese. Produced this video over a year ago so I don't recall the name. You can use any bleu cheese that you can find in the high end cheese section of your grocery store, most are great quality. Thanks for the comment.
Can I ask you something? Why does everyone use blue cheese dressing when making their wedge salads? I have not seen anyone use any other dressing but that. I just think it's weird so I was hoping you could tell me why the blue cheese?
Blue cheese is from the classic recipe. I suppose that is probably why. I have made them with other dressings too. If it’s your salad, you can use whatever you want. 😊

I think the Food Lust version looks better. Who knew that the Maytag family did blue cheese also? Interesting piece of trivia.
Thanks for watching man. Have a safe Holiday!
When did Mr clean start cooking?! Lol just kidding, I think I prefer no hat. I'm rocking the Q ball look myself.
Luckily that's not a *wedge* issue! 😉
haha. Always trying something new right? Thanks for watching!
Can I use yogurt instead of sour cream?
Sure, make it your own. 😊

This is the food equivalent of a mid 20th century blond console stereo (that's a compliment btw).
SMH, thanks. I’ll have to think about that one for a bit.
😅 Definitely a Hi-Fi compliment 👍🏻 This salad rocks
I want a video of someone eating these because I don’t get that part. How do you eat these? Like a steak? I feel so dumb.
Hi Marisa. Yea, you eat them with a knife and fork. 😊. Thanks for watching.
I always thought it looked like too much lettuce. But I've never tried one, so.....
Thanks for watching Sara. Have a great day. 😊
