Hi Bethany Its my mother in laws Birthday on Monday and she is coming over for dinner, i asked her what she would like to eat as its her day, and she said Barbequed chicken. This dish will go amazingly with it, and she loves blue cheese as do i, so i will add my favourite Picos Blue Valdeon, this is a strong, spicy blue, with a smooth rich flavour and creamy texture, if you can ever find some you must try it. As always i will let you know how your Classic Wedge Salad goes down, to which these have just started to be popular in the UK in the last 12 months. Chris (In UK) PS - I was not sure what to buy my mother in law for her birthday so i got her a chair, sadly my wife says im not allowed to plug it in.

@@Asimplepalate Hi Bethany Well my mother in law left about an hour ago, and she brought her friend Mary with here (advance warning would of been nice) Well we were so so Lucky as the weather was amazing, so much so i had to put the Gazebo up due to the sun. Well i barbecued my marinated chicken (i use butter milk and various herbs) and the Classic Wedge Salad which i made earlier and placed in the fridge. Well the first thing everyone commented on was your dressing for the salad, and i must admit i could see why its amazing, by the way the bacon bits in the salad really make the dish. Every one liked my barbecued chicken, but you stole the show AGAIN !! Thanks so much for this recipe. Chris (In UK) PS - In the afternoon we took the mother in law to the local Zoo as they had a new attraction of Alligators, at one stage she got to close to the water and fell in with them, but don't panic, in a flash i jumped in and luckily managed to save six of them.

You could sub it for more sour cream instead, although I will say you would never know there's mayo in this. But if mayo is totally out of the question, then try replacing with 1/4 cup sour cream😊
I have never seen or heard of such a thing. When you serve it do you just serve a whole wedge with the other veggies or do you just leave it on the plate and let them serve themselves. Cant wait to see your wing recipe. When i was watching you make the dressing my first thought, this would be a good with some wings.

I could give you a like for infinity. That salad so good. You could make some bucks catering somehow. People look to save on theyre smaller weddings if ya did 100 people or less Theyre guests would rave about your celebration entres. Your meals kick any restraunt catering ive seen. I knew a gal who made big bucks just doing theyre wedding cakes.
one thing I notice, I do a lot of things backwards when I'm on camera😂 I agree, Debbie. It's easier to do that way! But works out the same either way - thankfully!
I had to do a classic wedge with the classic ingredients, but outside of that, I never use iceberg for that reason! I mention on the website recipe you could swap for butter lettuce :) meant to mention that in the video.

You could do that, but I can't promise it will be as good :) Or gorgonzola is a solid choice. Although if you don't like blue cheese I kinda doubt you liked that one lol

The sour cream and the mayonnaise should go in first and then slowly add the liquid ingredients to it. It will combine it better.
