@Rob Amen, I was sitting here on a rebuttal, but it is essentially a LoZ style game, the later interactions were fantastic as well, until it became an isometric shooter.

Great showcase. Would love to see some coverage of the Darksiders series in the future. I saw a brief Darksiders 1 clip in there and I was surprised it wasn’t really talked about. For me, Darksiders 1 and 2 are truly emblematic of the 7th generation of consoles and surprisingly fun middle budget games.
" middle budget games" LOL Darksiders 2 had a budget of 50 million dollars thats around 65m dollars in todays value and in spite all that money the game flopped :D Darksiders 1 remains the better one
Although...their stories are extremely similar...both were played by gods, both have climbed out hell, both have divine anger issues...and even the goal to get revenge on the gods are the same...Asura is just Kratos in Hindu
@@THEPHARAOH2 I mean, if you do a reductive description of both characters and plots, then yeah, but looking beyond that, it is far from the truth. For starters Asura was betrayed by the other gods that wanted to use his daughter to harness power, and killed him because they knew Asura wouldn't allow them to kill people as sacrifice for power. Of all the devas he is the most noble, which is shown in character design and lore. Asura never attacks civilians, and his halo is the biggest and more intricate of all of them. His anger is not only born from him, but is the anger of everyone that is suffering, the humans, the world, making him an avatar of their suffering. His feats are never played as triumphs, since they always happen on his moments of most anguish, hence why they always play In Your Belief as his theme. His most powerful forms are form that cause equal or greater damage to him than his opponent (Wrath and Vajira iirc) It is why when he gets the manthra reactor from the fortress that atunes for all manthras that he becomes both more powerful but more stable (Also when Mithra channeled all the manthra from the karma fortress) His tale is meant to be like a myth of creation where a god goes against all odds to liberate humankind and the devas of the cycle, making the ultimate sacrifice. I love both characters, but Asura is on a different ballpark in terms of what is presenting
@@Tetsuito brutal legend is so fucking good. Some of those tower defense type segments got annoying but man I would love a remaster ,sequel, or remake.
I'm so glad you can still play black and the first and second game on Xbox with BC at high frame rates/ better graphics on series X. Those games are absolute classics.
God of War clones are easy to spot, if the game has a emphasis on wide sweeping long reaching attacks that are meant to deal with multiple enemies at once, then your a god of war clone, as apposed to a game where the combat emphasizes targeting a foe to combo off of them while dealing with the others attacking you, thats your Devil May Cry-likes
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was an incredible game. The only thing I really felt they did poorly was the DLC, which ramped up the difficulty of the encounters ridiculously and had a ton of tedious puzzles that overstayed their welcome three times over. But the base game was incredibly fun. It made you feel good for using your abilities creatively, was beautiful, and just felt good to play once you fell into the rhythm of it.
I had a lot of fun with it personally -good enemy variety and great environments- as well as LoS 2 in spite of the issues. Went as far as exploring past areas to find all health, Void Sword and Chaos Claws upgrades. The Toymaker still stands out strongly to me thanks to the preceding puzzle, the concept of the boss fight in his area, and the fact he is allowed to walk away alive. The Riders of the Storm were a tough but cool battle as well. Riot Police with their shields and long-distance attacks, as well as the skull head demons that roamed the streets were among the more annoying enemies, however.
I was late to the party on Castlevania LOS.. I played the demo and kind of forgot about it.. However last year I finally remembered and sprung for the whole duology.. I can’t say it was free of GOW influence but Castlevania in essence while the majority are in 2d basically is the same idea.. Hack n slash level up and traverse.. LOS really isn’t all that much different than OG Castlevania imo.. Funny I also revisited Mark of Kri as of fairly recently.. It basically is very much like GOW tho a little less polished.. I just love that style whatever it’s called.. We also gotta give Sands of Time some credit too.. I mean any legit GOW fan would love this essential classic.. So happy it’s being remade albeit delayed..
It's even better the second playthrough once you know about the twist. LoS1 on PS3 was also one of the first few games that had built in screenshots in the art gallery before that feature became ubiquitous.
The Castlevania example is a little disingenuous since Castlevania: Lament of Innocence came out years before God of War was even announced and had its own 3D combat system with a longer range weapon (whip) that would be a better precedent to the Lords of Shadow combat. Though yeah there are God of War/Shadow of the Colossus influences in how you traverse mega-sized bosses. Also, calling it "not super original" really devalues the amount of love and care the devs clearly put into the game. If you want to name its biggest influence, I'd look outside of video games entirely and say its visuals were greatly inspired by the aesthetics of Guillermo Del Toro.
I fancy side scrollers as my Castlevania entries but I LOVED Lords of Shadow. It definitely goes on a tangent regarding the story and the QTEs get a bit redundant but I think Mercury Steam did Castlevania a huge service in the 3D space. LoS 2 is a little wacky but the first one was an all-around good time for me.
My problem with it was it should have been an action game with light puzzle elements. Instead it was a puzzle game with light action elements. Just waaaay too much time messing around with tedious puzzles and not nearly enough action.
@jonathanreiher5851 you prob know this but just in case(2months later) they were mentioning the rebranded current generation of god of war games not the originsl hack n slash series
Respectfully Splatterhouse is a great game. The blood system encouraged you to be really aggressive so you can use that blood meter to regenerate health and stun enemies or later perform op attacks and enter a powered up state. Its dodge was not optional though and the game expected you to use it and the game had a great variety of enemies. The classic splatterhouse games alone justified picking it up.
Exactly. I do wish there was some way to get fixes to that game but it looks pretty obvious that namco bandai or whoever they are these days (I usually just refer to them as bamco) has no intention of resurrecting that game or really that franchise probably. Which is sad because splatterhouse is awesome.
Splatterhouse was excellent, great world and art design, story, and combat.,replayed it a few months ago,it holds up well, from the boss fights to the banter with Rick and the mask, truly a great game
I was just about to comment about the Hellboy announcement from last night and then you yourself brought it up in the video. Here's hoping it shakes off the less-than-stellar legacy and proves to be a solid game.
Key thing with bamco taking the splatterhouse reboot away from bottle rocket was that the lead developer from BR insisted on using his original combat gameplay style, that he used in his two most well known creations: mark of kri and the sequel, rise of the kasai. Thing is, Namco thought that it wouldn't work after a bit into development and told them to do it differently. What bottle rocket did? they kept developing it with the combat style that namco didn't want without telling namco itself and the rest, when namco found out what was going on, is history. Like respect to bottle rocket for their conviction on their original creation, but at the same time they kinda brought down the house upon themselves and also hurt the final product a lot too.
loved Wolverine. I was really big into World of Warcraft at the time and there’s a cave in Wolverine with Frostmourne stuck in the ice with a ! from WoW over it, that was the coolest thing 16 year old me had ever seen
The irony of mentioning Tecmo in this video but forgetting to mention another God of War clone: *YAIBA Ninja Gaiden Z,* the crude Ninja Gaiden spinoff that killed an already dead series which somehow got a crossover cameo from the then-upcoming _Mighty No. 9_
@@austineruption It's okay, I did forgot you already covered in another video and probably there's not a lot to say about beyond what was said before lol
YAIBA is when Ninja gaiden went not just off the rails but took a big steaming dump on the fresh corpse of a once beloved franchise. Painful, very painful. Such a damn shame.
I've enjoyed exactly one ad read for RAID and it was wavywebsurf. How he was allowed to do what he did is beyond me but holy sh*t did he burn that bridge down with beautiful magnificence and sarcastic delivery.
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters for PS3/360 is one of my favorite games. It’s nice to hear you mention it. The fact that such a great game was only made to bank on the disappointing 2011 Green Lantern movie is crazy to me (though the game has pretty much nothing to do with the movie aside from Ryan Reynolds reprising his role). If you still have access to one of those old consoles, I highly recommend checking it out.
Just played through Lords Of Shadow 2 recently and the reason nobody can agree on what the biggest problem with it is probably because it has so many problems, a lot of them coming directly from LoS1, too.
@@dansc86 You can't just say "No" and then list 3 different problems and counting them all as the main issues I mean, I agree with you, all three are issues with the game but you can see why people are not coming to a consensus of what the main problem is, right? I could add to your list that the world absolutely sucks to get around in, thanks to forced climbing sections, respawning enemies and "loading time airlocks" which really kills the 3D exploration aspect of the game, especially when you go for 100% collectibles, and then we'd have 4 problems everyone would weigh differently.
@@GeminiTasiri the "NO" is for the "...lot of them coming directly from LoS1". LoS1 was awesome, a difenret game. And I agree with you too hehehe: the world absolutely sucks! As it turns out, it was a poorly designed game. It should have been grand.
I remember both Heavenly Sword and Golden Axe Beast Rider. I also remember playing them back to back long after they released, and thinking they were about the same in overall quality (despite HS having a notably better reception). Also: you didn't have to remind us all of "nappy time with Edgy"...and I curse you for it, Austin Eruption!
Huh, no Darksiders on neither this video, nor the DMC Clones video (that I can remember). The titles mentioned here are interesting and i'm partial to Lords of Shadow 1 and 2, Marlow Briggs, Heavenly Sword and Dante's Inferno, but i wonder what would be required to have them featured (hopefully positively) on this channel. I wonder in which ballpark Knight's Contract would fall-- DmC or more GoW? Regardless, these videos are pretty fun-- and so, thank you for taking the time to make them.
Heavenly Sword is one game that I haven’t heard in a long time, and nobody has ever talked about it. Even I’ve forgotten that this game existed. This and Lords of Shadows.
Would Darksiders, at least the first one, count as a GoW clone? I always called the original a mix of GoW combat and LoZ dungeons when I played it way back when
I love that you say about the ps3 "your gonna need to dig out some old hardware" when I have 2 different PS3s set up in 2 different rooms in my house at all time... but I'm sure I'm the odd one here
i really wish that more Dmc likes and old fashioned gow likes still got made...its literally the gamers game. the gameplay is its showcase and is unbelievably fun with so much potential
Love them heavenly sword was so underrated tbf as you said if it wasn’t for the Hank and motion sense where it wasn’t needed I reckon they’d have a sequel
I think Sony themselves did it few favors by rushing it out right next to GoW 2, which at the time of release would have been readily playable on a first edition PS3. When Heavenly Sword ran and played as intended it was easily the most impressive and spectacular thing on the console until Uncharted 2.
@@ElTequilla I think the issue was the original PS3 at launch was so expensive for so few exclusives or must have games and the forced in motion controls and lack of rumble hurt it bad. I know I didn't play the game until well after lunch and by then a lot of it's initial wow factor had been lost to like you said uncharted 2. It was just an unfortunate casualty of the many mistakes of the PS3.
I’m surprised you didn’t touch upon any of the Darksiders games (Specifically the first one, with 2 being more Zelda like, and 3 being like a Platinum game)
That's why I have the physical copies of X Men Wolverine and Bayonetta for the Xbox 360. It really wasn't till the end of 7th gen did Developers realize that it was much better to develop for the PS3 than port it to the PC360. But the PS3 being custom, cell processor and how you can use its "cores," and split 512MB of RAM 256/256 made it rather difficult for developers always on crunch to learn. Vs working on a Custom IBM Processor (Ala Macbook) with off the shelf ATi X1800/1900 GPU?
Another GoW precrusor I keep coming back to was Spartan, Total Warrior. Made by the guys behind the Total War series. Boy did I put way too many hours into it back in the day!
I remember playing Marlow Briggs after hearing about it from Totalbiscuit (rest in peace) and it's one of those games that stuck in my mind as being solid. Definitely a good pick up since it looks like they dropped the base price to $5 these days.
Kind of surprised not to see the Deadpool game on here. While it does have some elements separate from the GoW gameplay, it borrowed tons from the series. Still a good video overall. Very fun to revisit.
People have called my knowledge of gaming “encyclopedic” but whenever I watch an Austin Eruption video, theres usually a game ive never heard of! This time it was demon stone.
I thoroughly loved lords of shadow, splatterhouse, and Dante’s inferno. Sad splaterhouse and Dante didn’t make it. I really wanted to see where splatterhouse would go. And Dante got me into researching and reading about it just god of war made me do Greek mythology.
@@bigismacks if u think I meant wanted to see where they’d go in context to this video I alctually meant in just general cause the splatterhouse reboot and Dante’s inferno both teased sequels at the end of there games that never got made lol.
I always hear about Castlevania: Lords of Shadow being ragged on by fans of Castlevania for how different it is from the usual games and its obvious referencing to God Of War....But admittedly that's kind of what made me like it so much (At least the first one, I wouldn't be able to tell you about the sequel). A lot of god of war clones are hit-or-miss, but I feel like LoS1 managed to capture it well enough to make it an enjoyable experience. Plus I just enjoyed its visual aesthetic mixed with the god of war formula.
I would love to see another go at a Splatterhouse game! Make kind of a cross between an arcade game and a survival horror game! Maybe tone down the bulky character design, lose the metal, and definitely scrap the unnecessary nudie pinups.
Its really sad how the whole thing was pretty much dragged down by ONE GUY's insistence. I'd need to re-read deeper on the details, but long story short, the original team was led by the guy who created the mark of kri and rise of the kasai (both very good and unique games too), and he was incredibly insistent on using those two's style of combat control which was his unique approach. Bamco on the other hand didn't want them to use it as they thought it wasn't going to fit the game's style of aggressive combat, and the guy had the brilliant idea to convince bamco to use his style.... by continuing developing the game with his style of combat without telling bamco despite the higher ups telling him to knock it off. Long story short when they found that out they fired him and the team as fast as a vulcan minigun fires bullets and really had to rush the rest of the game with less resources which caused a lot of the issues we do know about the game. Which is a damn shame
Truthfully, as much as I had fun with the combat of Dante's Inferno, I could only stand being in Hell for so long. The entire game is so grimy, disgusting and dour that I was getting depressed playing it. I had to put it down and walk away. If I could damn the game (heh) with faint praise, I think the designers and artists did too good of a job in designing Hell.
Your camera is so fuckin good dude like.... I watch other peoples vids and it's very obvious I'm watching a UA-cam vid, but you have such high fidelity it's almost uncanny! Keep killing it King
A lot of the clones are actually bretty good. I mean the formula isn't that complex. Dante's Inferno has really good lore behind it Did you not cover Darksiders? How?
Tactical Bacon Productions has a GOW clone video that covers Darksiders, it's got chapters so you skip straight to it since some of the same games are covered in this video too
MayorHairBear has made a pretty great series covering all of the Darksiders games thus far! Would definitely recommend him, he's quite chill and fair in his takes.
“Heavenly Sword” was good, however, you HAD to turn off the horrible sixaxis motion controls! After that, with the motion-capture done by Andy Serkis’ studio was great.
Yeah, as it was with pretty much every single early PS3 game the motion stuff was horrible. When I first played it when it came out that was the first thing I did the minute I could. I mean the game still has like tearing and various other issues but that certainly improves one of the worst things they did.
I was the freak that paid full attention to this on NES even before Zelda.. I absolutely loved it finishing it multiple times.. So I had to get the sequel on ps2 and do the same thing.. In my eyes all these cinematic action adventures are actually Rygar likes👍
Ackchyually! Jim Cummings didn’t voice Robotnik in The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, that was the late Long John Baldry. Cummings voiced Robotnik in SatAM, so he never said “snooPING AS usual, I see?”, rather he said “it warms the cockles of my heart”
Can't say much about the arcade version of Rygar, but I'd say the NES version was memorable. Also, don't forget the original Splatterhouse was an arcade game that was ported to the TurboGrafx-16.
Yeup. I was about the say the same thing. I first heard of Splatterhouse as a TurboGrafx game. I was so jealous that it wasn't on Genesis until it finally came out.
I still remember when I saw that heavenly sword had options for six axis aiming, I thought it was the first case of modern day gyro aiming. I was very wrong and disappointed. Turns out it controls the bolt itself when you shoot it
Those sections were actually my favorite part of the game. Incidentally my favorite Unreal Tournament weapon is the Redeemer, my favorite Perfect Dark weapon is the Slayer, and I really enjoyed the sniping sections of Bulletstorm.

Xmen origins was one of my fave clones as well, and anytime I see heavenly sword it reminds me of the time I forced my friends to watch that tie in movie that reused the same models despite coming out years later

Dante's Inferno is epic, I picked it up one day last year and have loved it ever since. Beaten the game, what was it, 14-15 times now, and I still don't understand how being a GOW clone made so many people throw Dante's Inferno into the dump. A remake that nerfs the Holy Cross and makes the Scythe feel more impactful would be really nice though.
Heavenly Sword looked so beautiful for sure! I think it still holds up today graphically and texture-wise, I think it was a model for developers for generations to come! 100% underrated. One of my favourite childhood games.
I literally spent the last 2 days replaying X-Men origis Wolverine for the pc and psp version and they both still SLAP. Fantastic movie tie ins and GOW clones. The green lantern game is pretty good too. Along with Ghost Rider Spider-Man Shattered Dimenions, Web of Shadows if you wanna stick to the CB realm of GOW clones. And thank you for speaking about Rygar. Just started a few months ago and its dope. WIll be playing a ton of these game from this video to relive and experience new ones.

Same here. It might have featured on the DmC clones video, but i'm not sure.
I was thinking the same thing. Also, Ninja Gaiden, but I guess that fits more into a "Devil May Cry" clone.
Darksiders is a Zelda clone. At least the first one
@@rob4222 In terms of the dungeon and world structure, yeah. Bosses too. The combat system is kind of DMC-like on the other hand.
@Rob Amen, I was sitting here on a rebuttal, but it is essentially a LoZ style game, the later interactions were fantastic as well, until it became an isometric shooter.
Aren't the original God of War games clones of Devil May Cry?
I always noticed alot of the gow clones were actually pretty good. Ghost rider, x men, castlevania, Dantes inferno, heavenly sword, etc
Its a pretty easy game to clone, thats not a bad thing btw
they arent clones, theyre just hack and slash games what is wrong with yall
@@Easy420skate ik they are hack n slash games but the ones I listed were very clearly gow clones. Devil may cry, lollipop chainsaw, and Bayonetta are also hack n slash but they don't play anything like GOW. The games I said were clones literally take so much from the series. To the weapons, the puzzles, level designs etc. Just look at the gameplay of the ones I listed and compare it to gow and its clear as day what they're trying to emulate.
@@chunky_mustard5312 you're right but some of these games play more like the ones you mentioned than GOW. -And how does DMC play nothing like GOW???? They're both stages with puzzles, collecting orbs, like just visualizing the two side by side they play very similarly but with different aesthetics.

@@PacificNight888 1 had a much tighter gameplay design and no cluttered gear system to slow it down.

just because something is a hack and slash type game doesn’t mean it’s a god of war clone
I remember that asura's wrath was thought to be a God of war clone when it was in initial development. Oh how we were wrong
Just like Brutal Legend.
His most powerful forms are form that cause equal or greater damage to him than his opponent (Wrath and Vajira iirc)
It is why when he gets the manthra reactor from the fortress that atunes for all manthras that he becomes both more powerful but more stable (Also when Mithra channeled all the manthra from the karma fortress)
His tale is meant to be like a myth of creation where a god goes against all odds to liberate humankind and the devas of the cycle, making the ultimate sacrifice.
I love both characters, but Asura is on a different ballpark in terms of what is presenting
@@Tetsuito brutal legend is so fucking good. Some of those tower defense type segments got annoying but man I would love a remaster ,sequel, or remake.
Dante's Inferno holds up so well still. Absolutely the best GoW clone imo.
FACTS.
Devil May Cry & God of War get their dues for popularizing hack'n'slash games, but not Ninja Gaiden? Those games deserve some spotlight.
I'm so glad you can still play black and the first and second game on Xbox with BC at high frame rates/ better graphics on series X.
Those games are absolute classics.
Ninja Gaiden is like the janky B version of GoW lol
Then the sequel came along and yikes. Wowee did that game fall off the rails.
I don’t know about incredible game…
Dante’s Inferno is an underrated gem for sure. I should play through that game again.
Man, nanobreaker....digs up some feels. My late best friend used to sit and play that for hours. Something I wish I could do, one more time.
A type of clone that's hard to describe but you know on sight.
They’re called Hack N Slash Adventure games.
@@SPFLDAnglerhe literally described 4 different schools of hack n slash and GoW clones being one of the four, less than 2 mins into the video.
Character action games
I feel the same about zelda clones.
You mentioned Genji and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, sir. It may be a small thing but it made my day. Those games were my entire childhoods!
Definitely, went out of my way to get my hands on the ultimate ed. Of force unleashed just bc i missed it so mucj
God of War was more inspired Devil May Cry rather than Dynasty Warriors. Even the game director admits it.
X-men origins wolverine, ghost rider and Dante's inferno were awesome man
The Castlevania example is a little disingenuous since Castlevania: Lament of Innocence came out years before God of War was even announced and had its own 3D combat system with a longer range weapon (whip) that would be a better precedent to the Lords of Shadow combat.
I’ll never forget Darksiders and Dante’s Inferno. They were my God of War since I never owned a PlayStation
I don't disagree. They could've done way more with LoS and 3D Castlevania as a whole but I still think it was hella rad.
I miss God of War clones so much. Not even God of War is a GoW clone anymore.
I played Dante's Inferno earlier this year and really enjoyed it.
I wanted a Conan sequel where they fixed the issues from the first game. The original GoW wasn't perfect and the sequel fixed those minor issues.
@jonathanreiher5851 you prob know this but just in case(2months later) they were mentioning the rebranded current generation of god of war games not the originsl hack n slash series
Actually, Jim Cummings voiced the more serious Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic SatAM series.
I am not smart
Technically, he did also voice the silly, AoSTH Robotnik, but only in the pilot episode.
Marlow Briggs walked so Nier Automata can run.
Austin using Legend of Dragoon music for a backdrop is why I love this essayist so much
Respectfully Splatterhouse is a great game.
Respectfully, God of War itself is a Devil May Cry clone. Even the devs said they wanted to make a DMC copycat
Lords of Shadow 1 is a masterpiece.
I was just about to comment about the Hellboy announcement from last night and then you yourself brought it up in the video. Here's hoping it shakes off the less-than-stellar legacy and proves to be a solid game.
I already dont like the voice for hellboy, it just doesn't fit him at all and is very jarring with the dark horse art style
I really do worry, as the animations seemed REALLY jank
It certainly looks good.
I'm sure I probably won't like the voice work though as anything that isn't Ron Perlman usually sounds awful.
Rise of the Argonauts could count as one too. It was set in Greek mythology, more adventure than hack n slash but still very cool.
loved Wolverine.
I covered it in the past and forgot about it because it did a lot of brain damage, but you right.
@@austineruption It's okay, I did forgot you already covered in another video and probably there's not a lot to say about beyond what was said before lol

No offense Austin.
Não. Os problemas principais de LoS 2 foram as partes de stealth e inconsistências no level design e narrativa.
@@dansc86 You can't just say "No" and then list 3 different problems and counting them all as the main issues
I mean, I agree with you, all three are issues with the game but you can see why people are not coming to a consensus of what the main problem is, right?
I could add to your list that the world absolutely sucks to get around in, thanks to forced climbing sections, respawning enemies and "loading time airlocks" which really kills the 3D exploration aspect of the game, especially when you go for 100% collectibles, and then we'd have 4 problems everyone would weigh differently.
@@GeminiTasiri the "NO" is for the "...lot of them coming directly from LoS1". LoS1 was awesome, a difenret game. And I agree with you too hehehe: the world absolutely sucks! As it turns out, it was a poorly designed game. It should have been grand.
New god of war is like an adult zelda clone. Temples, treasure chests, back tracking when you get new skills to find secret areas
Maybe Darksider will feature on the inevitable Zelda clones video lol

Heavenly Sword is one game that I haven’t heard in a long time, and nobody has ever talked about it. Even I’ve forgotten that this game existed. This and Lords of Shadows.
I think 'Dante's Inferno' is a hidden gem TBH 🤔
1:28 Did you just highlight Ninja Gaiden as GoW clone who came first even before the God of war existed? That doesn't make sense.
I thought for sure that Darksiders would fit in this list, not quite the same concept but similar.

@@Genethagenius it really could of.
I played it years ago so I don’t remember if I did figure that out 😂
Turning off the motion controls was the first thing I did. The motion aiming stuff was terrible.
I think Sony themselves did it few favors by rushing it out right next to GoW 2, which at the time of release would have been readily playable on a first edition PS3.
When Heavenly Sword ran and played as intended it was easily the most impressive and spectacular thing on the console until Uncharted 2.
@@ElTequilla
I think the issue was the original PS3 at launch was so expensive for so few exclusives or must have games and the forced in motion controls and lack of rumble hurt it bad.
I didn't wake up today expecting to see Conan the Barbarian T-posing for dominance, but hey, today is full of surprises.
That thing was so much fun!
Genuinely surprised you didn't cover the capcom developed nightmare before Christmas God of war clone, that game kinda rules
I'm a simple man. If there is even a little bit of Legend of Dragoon in a video then I give it a like.

I think you forgot Darksiders, at least the first I was waiting for it the whole video🥲
Have you considered a Dynasty Warriors / Musou clones list? I just want to hear your thoughts on Ninety Nine Nights. I loved that game.
Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave is stupid fun, especially the parody paths..!

I enjoyed the 'Splatterhouse' reboot. Flawed, but fun 🤷
I absolutely loved that game. I even got the platinum.
Honestly when I think of GOW clone I always think of Darksiders.
I always associate this king of games with Devil May Cry, even God of War.
Heavenly Sword was super fun. I still remember the six axis controls to this day
Truthfully, as much as I had fun with the combat of Dante's Inferno, I could only stand being in Hell for so long.

Yeah, as it was with pretty much every single early PS3 game the motion stuff was horrible.
When I first played it when it came out that was the first thing I did the minute I could. I mean the game still has like tearing and various other issues but that certainly improves one of the worst things they did.
