Love this design. I have watched so many of these builds and this one solves many of my issues. The drawers are a MUST have but in my case.... I am making 3 instead of 2 large ones. One for my router bits....one for my saw blades and the 3rd for drill bits. Thank you for the great video.
You are very welcome! In hindsight I should have done 3 drawers as well. I might still change it at some point. Other than that, I’m still happy with the design.
I've been meaning to build one for years. Last week I bought a metal drill rack off Temu for a great price. Mounted on my wall today and was surprised how much weight it can take. I'm going to build a shelf above it for my chargers. Job done. Thanks for making this video. Very inspiring but I've run out of wall space 😢
You are welcome! It also took me years plus a flood to finally rearrange things to have more space overall, but I still don't have a lot of accessible wall space. This one was long overdue. I have another project coming up soon to use the space behind the two black shelves/benches which is going to make a huge difference.
Hi, I see you used a CNC machine to do the brackets to hang your drills etc. I don't have one so will have to go with a more simple design for these, if I actually make this this unit. I have the same steel shelving units in my two car garage/workshop. I had a look at your clamp rack video, and will make it and attach it it to the end of the shelving as well. I also like and will make, your 'simple' Cros-Cut sled. I even have some of the black/Formply as well. Great videos and have subscribed. Thanks heaps. kmdc from Oz.
Hey Keith! You are welcome mate! The plans I have for this rack does include printable templates you can stick onto a sheet to trace and cut. A bandsaw would help heaps but I would be able to do the same with a jigsaw, even though it’s my least favourite tool to use. Thanks for the comment!
