No need to increase the playback speed, Ben talks at 1.5 speed naturally.

This election's become so interesting that even a foreigner like me is hooked.
This season of America is 🔥
Yes
I've commented to my family that there are a lot of interests that collide in America. I think it's an extension of our position in the globe that is a vestige of competence (ethical and political) that we no longer have, and as such there is a lot of overseas worry.
And yeah, it's all batshit crazy, largely because the left has a vested interest against engaging in anything resembling a decent conversation.
The only comedy produced in America for so many years on absence

I like Ben! Thanks for having him on your show.
These comments 🤦♂️ … If you think a UA-camr you like isn’t allowed to interview a person you don’t like, then you lead a very sad and miserable life.
I like your comment. I had to read it several times to understand it. Once I understood it, I agreed with it. Just a side note, I like Chris and Ben, but that’s me.
Can't handle the slightest variation of the echos.
That's one thing, but giving a platform to morally corrupt people is a different ball game.
@@ahhu.no it’s not. Stop with the “platformimg” bullshit.
@@ahhu. May we assume that “morally corrupt” is code for his support of Israel’s military efforts?
Ben Shapiro is way more nuanced than what I expected.
I was surprised too! I guess you have to simplify your message when you're reaching for a wide audience like he usually does.
He is mossad, its just a show

I like how there are all these negative/positive comments summarizing this 2 hr video are posted minutes after upload.
At least watch and listen to the video first lol.
Left wing Russian disinformation bots
Not necessary. I already have my opinion, what would facts do to change that? ;)
Not saying this is the case for some but I listened to the episode this morning on Spotify so it's plausible they already know how it plays out
To be fair, it was uploaded a few hours ago on Spotify and we’ve seen at least one clip of it, so some of us have already listened to the audio version
I like to comment in real time. More fun.
Does anyone find it incredible that Ben can fit 4 hrs worth of talking into a 2 hr podcast!!! Im here for it!!!😂

Not sure why. They are both very open about their 'conservative' views.
Ben Shapiro severely triggers weak people
Where are you reading?
Eager to finish this thing. Good stuff.
Ben is at his best when being interviewed and Chris is up to the challenge.
Great interview! So cool to hear how based Ben is on so many topics. Good values, really legit. Love it.
Easy money for Chris today.

2)Fold arms, sit back, and behold the glorious wall of text that flows from Ben.

For real, podcast nutshells, bs
Great episode 👍
The amount of people that are angry at you for having a conversation with someone they disagree with is wild 😂 Great job Chris!
"By the way, no business would operate like this." Kathleen Kennedy would like a word.
The range of guests that you are able to talk to on this show in a way that puts them in their element is extremely impressive. Being able to actively listen to a huge range of worldviews is a great litmus test for critical thinking for both podcaster and listener.
Hey I love your channel!
Ben is a well spoken narrator of the right that you all claim you want to hear, so give a listen with open ears instead of just getting tilted and bashing him immediately. What makes you any different from Trump supporters if you dont?
Well Ben set himself away from the pack just by calling j6 an insurrection.
Shapiro does not speak for the right. he speaks for Uniparty RINOism
Every political loyalist is the same
@@thilli1859 you kids are so upset over a right wing riot, that went nowhere, and had no chance of going anywhere. If you honestly think the US Govt had a chance to be overthrown by unarmed protestors on Jan 6, you are not fit to vote. Thats basic critical thinking skills.

No bots needed. Ben is disliked by both left and right now due to his idiotic takes on Israel and Candance Owens hypocrisy.

Ben is extremely reasonable. I’ve never come across another human that I share all of my political views with, but I always appreciate Ben’s discourse on those issues where I find disagreement.
So you agree with Ben on j6 being an insurrection by definition?
I dont agree with most of his beliefs, but he's a wonderful representation of the other side for me. I have so much more empathy for conservatives because of Ben and much better understanding of their concerns. Of course I don't agree but I atleast understand now and I think people like Ben could help bring people on both sides back to just talking with each other again. Everyone is living in different realities and it's super unproductive and damaging to everyone.

Shapiro super weirdly doesn't mention illegal immigration in his first discussion on Trumps 2016 positions. Doesn't make sense
Replacement level Immigration has been the common uniparty platform of both parties for 70 years, championed to the hilt by the conservative movement that has always valued cheap labor over the cultivation/preservation of domestic labor forces. We are here today with the current system of open borders because neither party, or its ideological stalwarts have ever made it a priority. Given his background, where he's never had to compete with foreign workers brought to his hometown by the busload, it wouldn't be on his radar. Its easy for coastal upper middle.class people to recite Emma Lazarus poem and ignore it.
Because he’s smart enough to know the issue is asylum claims and not illegal immigration.
@@thilli1859 But he didn't use the word "immigration" at all. Which is either stupid, irgnorant, or dishonest. And a reversion to typical elite ignoring this supremely important issue.
@@melrondut just for my sanity can you tell me what you think the issue at the border is caused by?
@@thilli1859 Not securing it
I used to have a lot of respect for Ben... but not so much anymore, for how he handles the Candice Owen's issue. And now he seems really milk toast and fearful to have Trump on his show. Disappointing and frankly, cowardly. Whats his problem? He won't take a step unless he knows the outcome will benefit him... I'm asking?
I really like your podcast and the fact that you are willing to speak to people who have different views on the same topic in a naturally unbiased fashion. However, Chris, you're British, it would be nice if you could consider some advert plugs for things that people in Britain and Europe can benefit from, not just those who live in the US; in the same unbiased way that you conduct your interviews 👍
Tell British companies to sponsor more UA-camrs then. He plugs the companies that reach out to him.
Did America ever have its mind? Or did it just do a good job at pretending it did?
It was definitely more sane 10 years ago than it is now
America has been compromised for over 100 years
1:28:00 - Biblical references should no longer have grandiosity attached to it, like it did back in the day without mass communications. Since word of mouth was the only tool prior to the 1900's. So any supernatural story to grab attention should probably be reconsidered and really drive into the significant relationships between religious practices and modern day psychology. Noah's ark shouldn't define if god is real or not, when so much other information is accurate. With the goal in mind, just at least convert the rights/wrongs for people to follow by. See how that goes and go from there. Jordan is doing an incredible job at converting these teachings. I'm so excited to see how he puts everything together!!!!!!!!!!
Chris, random tangent
The little blue progress bar when you are reading for a sponsor?
I don't know how long you've been doing that (maybe for forever and I only just noticed), but it's really helpful

The video was uploaded just 25 minutes ago, and already, the comments are filled with people calling Ben an idiot and other "pleasant" insults. Sadly, I'm not surprised to see a flood of blatantly antisemitic remarks either. It’s ridiculous that people haven't even taken the time to listen to the full two-hour podcast, yet they’re quick to attack his beliefs and throw around dumb Jewish conspiracy theories. I’m not even Jewish, and I usually hesitate to use the word "antisemitism" because it’s often overused, but in this case, it's clear. You guys are just being ignorant….
spot on
Why is there some red line where you are not allowed to criticize someone if they are of Jewish faith? Christians are certainly not afforded that luxury.
Where are all of these negative comments? I see way more comments complaining about negative comments than actual negative comments.
@@jaredmelloThey deleted most of them. I saw a lot, but every time I tried to comment on one, I’d get an error message because it had already been removed. Most of them used harsh, degrading language, so they probably violated UA-cam's policies.
Weird how many comments talk about angry comments, but I can't seem to find any of the aforementioned comments.
Good to see you Ben. I might’ve moved on from your content, but seeing you is like seeing an old friend. Good luck to you man.
I think Trump's biggest weakness, and the weakness is something reflected in America, is the loss of nuance.
Chris, this conversation is fantastic. Just like most of your podcasts. Continue doing you! What got you here is not what people are suggesting in the comments lol. Keep doing what you feel content with and I/many others are here to support it!
@1:19:00 A far better and more concise defense of the institution of marriage than was provided by Matt Walsh to Joe Rogan. Hurray, the daily wire is redeemed in my eyes.
Holy shit how was that 2 hours
56:00 - I just got a puppy, she was 3 months old when I got her. When I got her, she was absolutely havoc and stressful, but after only 3 months, she has completely changed and being around me. I can see how my influence has made her into a really well behaved dog, which everyone always states. If they can articulate it or not that it came from me, but it was from my personality that helped her form to grow up into this respectable animal that is welcoming and not aggressive. Which when complimented, I then can take that sense of feeling accomplishment.
Same thing i would assume would be derived from having children, but way more complex beings. What you put into life is what you get out, so when you have children. It's very important that you don't think of the consequences in the moment, you literally need to put 18 years of work into that child to teach them your realities to coach them to navigate the world. It's essentially forming a younger reflection of yourself to mirror society in more positive/negative ways, that came from your experience/wisdom.
And yet, parents of multiple children will attest to their kiddos (generally) having wildly different outcomes, despite the fact that most of the variability is accounted for (same environment, diet, parents, school systems).
But the nature/nurture argument has long been settled. It is clearly both, in roughly equal measure.
Chris Williamson is becoming the Joe Rogan. Will probably be #1 in a couple of years!
Not likely

The only peaceful way out of today’s polarization is to make the Federal Government less powerful. Alabama doesn’t want to live like Massachusetts and vice versa. So why should we make them live the same way? Just have a Federal Government that ensures the same Constitutional rights for everybody and that’s it. Why should every policy on every issue apply to everyone? It isn’t working. No one is happy with the way things are going currently. So let’s try something different.
What if we functioned in a world without:
impatience
unkindness
envy
pride
the dishonoring of others
being self-seeking
being easily angered
keeping a record of wrongs
rejoicing in evil
Are these barriers against righteousness
Would humanity flourish without them
It's coming
Maranatha
You have an interesting list. Do you have an interesting point?
@@smhollanshead Much of Christianity has become corrupt..it's been weakened...but the Truth, the foundation of Christianity is this:
These words, by worldly standards are silly and weak, easily trampled on.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. The Strength and Power of these words, Implemented, are bonding... Indestructible.
God enables us to begin to truly implement these words in our lives. He does so with the infilling of his Holy Spirit...With the infilling...we begin a new life...as Jesus said...born again
If humanity could grasp a portion of this, we'd be living in a different world, but humanity as a whole, lives within a lie.
LOVE ❤
Change starts within.....
I'd like to point out that the weapon used on the first assassination of Trump was not equipped with a scope. As far as I know, the dude was using regular holographic sight with no magnification and used a regular AR-15 style firearm that does not have such accuracy when it comes to shooting at such distance. Go watch Garand Thumb's video about the incident where they try to replicate the scenario on a torso-like target.
Sorry I'm only 5 minutes in and I must have misheard - Ben is claiming that he wouldn't do an interview with Donald Trump because he is an objective commentator? Does anyone actually believe this obvious lie? Trump could require that the interview be done while he sits on the GoT iron throne and the Daily Wire would say yes in half a second.
1:09:00 I have the opposite criticism. You shouldn't get rid of rules you believe in, but if you truly believe in them, why are you "working around" them? It's arguably worse than ignoring the letter of the law because it's ignoring the spirit of the law, the intent of the creator. Idk, I'm sure there's a cookie cutter, self-justifying answer there, just seems dubious at best from the outside.
Ah yes. Hawkish (aka military action abroad) and "isolationist". The only two ways to be.
That's like saying you either attack people or you have no friends. Silly and destructive way of thinking.
Having a single child would induce a parent to be a necessary part of a community to find friends for their children with friends of parents as well. As is , parents teach to fight and compete by letting other people teach their kids who they may barely know.
I want Trump to win.
I love when Ben talks to young moderate centrists, I often feel he is his best when he does so because he doesn't alienate people with his niche boomer frame of mind and beliefs. Very level-headed, wish he talked to young people more.
@20:58 Ben talking about “mirroring” is actually referring to the concept of the cathedral (academia + media) which reverberates power in a decentralized system that not in a conscious, deliberate way but a system of elevation or punishment based on to what degree you have the “correct” belief system.
Psychology is what really highlights what is going on in America. Negativity behaviors are much more powerful than positive, which leads people to do more to avoid negativity then to appreciate positivity. While religion brushes the same psychological behaviors outlined through biblical stories and the outcomes that they produced, which can be utilized to derive right/wrongs. Which no one wants to take ownership to outline these days, so why not just fall on something that is already set out....
For example, if you think of it in a societal wide thing, the Declaration of Independence was written in a society almost 200 years prior to World War 2. The negativity that the declaration of independence was set out to protect from negative forces. Creates an illusion of the adopted policies thinking that they are still meant to be implemented today. I believe that mass communication of psychology and being very cognizant of divisive politics, can have a massive positive of effect for example like gun issues and homicide rates. It's hard to feel like you have to defend yourself from a force, when it doesn't exist.
1:12:00 - While sex can be something learned together, it can be outlined how you even explained, that there is a fear of lost time when it comes to the religious aspect (which is a fear of missing out on mating) and to the opposite spectrum, where you have no attachment to sex what so ever, resulting in the sense of being bonded to someone becoming so clouded, due to the social constructs formed around, lets say if you slept with your whole friend group. It highlights very scary implications on either spectrum.
1:04:00 - If you don't have things weighing heavy on you in life, don't go looking out for things to make your life heavy. Which means don't find enlightenment in risqué temptation, when you're not in a mindset/mental state that should even go down that road.
I’d like to see the membership list of ‘White Dudes Against White People’. I want to know the names of our enemies.
It would be nice if someone would ask Trump why he insists on using the secret service in spite of their incompetence.

I'm Czech and I'm unfamiliar with a phrase "to have a chip on ones shoulder"
Can someone explain?
Engrained resentment or disdain due to a sense of inadequacy or grievance.
to have an angry or unpleasant attitude or way of behaving caused by a belief that one has been treated unfairly in the past
He has had a chip on his shoulder ever since he didn't get the promotion he was expecting.
It means being angry all the time because you think you're being treated unfairly.
Carrying a grievance or resentment towards someone or something you feel has wronged you. You hear it A LOT in the US in context of sports: player feels disrespected because his team didn't want to pay him, so now he plays for their rival and has a "chip on his shoulder".
It's literally a dorito on your shoulder.
The shoulder is what connects your arm to your torso.
Chip is a fried thin potato or tortilla.
