I have a main capsule that I pull from daily, but the weather changes suddenly (which is very common in Minnesota) it doesn't bother me if I grab a sweater out of my previous seasons capsule or warmers shoes from a previous season. You just have to make it work for you. Don't worry too much about strict rules!
i never had basics, really just one white top and one in black 🙈 because basics are so boring to shop and they need to fit perfect 😥 now i have basic tops in all shades of nude (cause i love that) and it helps me so much if i don't know what to wear: basic nude top and my favourite jeans jacket - pretty necklace and i'm done 👌 in the past i had only patterned blouses or shirts and often didn't know what to wear. my summer wardrobe is perfect but for fall and winter i still don't have basics to combine with 🙊

I'm going to be doing a very brief capsule to define the gaps in my wardrobe. I wear the same three outfits all the time and am trying to break that pattern. My question for you is what did you notice that was missing from your capsule aside from a cardigan?
Now, that summer is here a good pair of loose denim shorts and comfortable sandals. I also noticed so much wear on my basics, so investing in quality basics is a priority for me too.

Hi! I think a cardigan with buttons only half way up will flatter your petite frame. I have an old cardigan from jcrew that has buttons half way up and a v-neck opening and it's uber flattering, not at all school-teacher!!
YES! You can really see the "quality" of fast fashion when you do a capsule wardrobe with those pieces! They just don't look/fit the same after 3 months. Maybe I should do a video about caring for your capsule??

I think the wacky weather in mn makes it a little bit harder to make a capsule wardrobe. Since we get like three seasons in one day.
You should check out the Skipper cardigans at Madewell! They're a bit cropped and don't go too far past the hip. I really love it!
