    Power Load® IR
    Tunable Reactive Load Analog Cab + IR
    Record Direct Using Your Favorite Tube Amp:
    The Fryette Power Load® IR is an easy to use, tunable reactive load coupled to a powerful Analog Cab + Mic Emulation and IR loader that allows you to silently record your favorite clean and cranked guitar tube amplifier.
    Whether you are setting your tweed combo at the sweet spot or doing a full right-hand sweep on your 100-watt head, the Power Load® IR allows you to fine tune the reactive behavior the amplifier response, choose your favorite IR and dial in the response character of the Cab + Mic Emulation for unprecedented control of your direct performance.
    Load your own cabs, or use ours:
    New for 2022, Power Load IR gets an all-new Digital Cab IR loader complete with memory space for 16 cabs, including 8 of our most popular cabs. You can also load your favorite cabs.
    The Power Load IR is the only stand-alone solution that provides two integrated cabinet sim options, Analog (for zero latency and expansive dynamic range) and Digital IR (for realistic room reflections and convolutions). You can use both individually or simultaneously. You can also defeat the cab sim and use an external IR.
    Professional-Quality Headphone Amplifier:
    A high-quality stereo headphone amplifier with a stereo effects loop allows you to insert delays and reverb pedals into the headphone mix, plus a Program Input that accepts a stereo music source such as a CD or MP3 player or group rehearsal mixer for silent practice.
    Perform Live:
    For live performance you can place the Power Load IR in between your amp and cabinet, sending the XLR with either or both Cab sims direct to the Front of House PA and Monitor board. No cabs? No Problem! You can crank your favorite amp silently, delivering dynamic consistent tone direct to the console.
    Proven Design:
    The Power Load® IR offers incredible dynamics, feel and studio-quality performance in a convenient, affordable and lightweight portable package that sits neatly on top of any head or combo amplifier. The analog Cab+Mic Emulation system, provides realistic and responsive mic’d cabinet tones direct to your interface, mixer or headphones.

    I loved the opening and ending tracks.
    It's on my short list to get one of these soon, so it was great to hear the explanation of cab sim & IR functions. Having some good times with the Synergy Deliverance through a 2/50/2 - it's on another level to anything else I've owned or played.

    Cool. I have this feature on my GP/DI and have found you can also use it as sort of another eq when running into an IR. Can be useful for tweaking on the fly. Also, I NEED the new GP/DI/IR, I wish Santa was bringing it!

    Having it for one year and never using it, last weekend was Big Show time for recording the next song and the box delivered majestetically🤘. Cool thing was our producer listend to the suggestions. Still unhappy that there is only one IR with the P50.... but ok it shortend the try-out time.

    I absolutely love that unit. The only thing I would really love to see in a maybe future version would be the possibility to use longer impulse responses. I use a lot of roomy IRs and the definitely benefit from long IR lengths of 170ms and upwards. I would upgrade that hardware in a heartbeat

    I bought one about three months ago after I got tired of my ox box dropping out constantly. I was pretty excited being it had a cab sim built in. I used a Parker for live use for years. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the IRs to sound that great. I mostly use my frames cobra, victory super Kraken, and my Engl Powerball mk2. I have owned my captor x for some years now, and the IRs just sound much better. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what. loaded a few IRs I am familiar with and it just sounds so harsh. I want to like this product, and I love watching your streams. ( big fan of those) I have contacted customer support, but nothing came out of it. They were great, but still, have the same issue. I still dig you guys and will always watch the streams, you guys are great.

      @Fryette Amps I just sent another email yesterday. What format would I need? Currently, it's wav files like most IRs. I appreciate the response. Thank you.

      Using your own favorite preloaded IR's would solve this?

    I like the clean tones you've gotten from the analog cab sim. Can you double track with the inbuilt IR at the same time - maybe pan the analog cab sim one way and the IR the opposite? There might be a phase misalignment due to the IR processing time, at a guess.

    Hi! I'm a happy fryete load IR buyer. but I was sad to read in the manual that I can't connect a solid state amp there! I wanted to buy a peavey xxl or a marshall mosfet . This is very sad since captor x does not have this limitation. I'd like to know if that's really the case. Thanks!

    I've just ordered the Fryette Power Load IR and was wondering if I can use it in conjunction with my Fryette PS - 2A (connect the two together) so I have an attenuator and headphone/recording set up?

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  8 місяців тому

      Yes you can. Either connect the PS Line Out to the PL-IR Aux In or put the PL-IR Amp In and Speaker out in series with the PS Speaker Out cable.

      The audio signal path is all analog up to and after the IR cab cab generator.

    Is there a latency difference between the IR and analog Cab Sim?

    • @FryetteAmps
      @FryetteAmps  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes, a very small amount. You can usually compensate for that by adjusting the levels between the two tracks.

    Hey Joe - will a PS-100 turn a 50w amp into a 100w amp?

    • @Billywagner22
      @Billywagner22 Рік тому

      It's not an attenuator.

    • @Slerb777
      @Slerb777 Рік тому

      It will bring your amp signal down to line level and then it can re-amp it up to 100 watts. So in a round about way, yes. It's really a re-amp box and not a traditional attenuator.
