The old westerns are really good at putting me to sleep. Honestly the best Clint movies she hasn't seen are Gran Torino, Perfect World and Million Dollar Baby, not the stuff where Clint is young
@@shredd5705 Interesting take. I personally find every scene in the good the bad and the ugly draws me in and captivates me. And I'm a couple of years younger than you.
My favorite Clint Eastwood movie is The Outlaw Josey Wales, a western, but for a fun and funny yet exciting action comedy romance - Two Mules for Sister Sarah. Even my wife likes that one. But if you want to see what really made Clint famous, look no further than the Sergio Leone Man With No Name trilogy. A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Cassie, I definitely agree that John Malkovich was robbed of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in this film. Some Clint Eastwood movies I suggest you watch: recent ones, Million Dollar Baby, Grand Torino and Cry Macho. Older films that I haven't seen suggested: Hang 'Em High, 3 Mules for Sister Sarah, The Gauntlet, Firefox and Pale Rider.
"The Good, The Bad and the Ugly" would be my top choice to watch cowboy Eastwood in his prime, and "Dirty Harry" for an equally-entertaining non-Western. Thanks for another great video!
Loved that series, and consider Good-Bad-Ugly to be the first one a person should watch just because of the time-line of those years. Then Fistful of Dollars and Few Dollars More. One of his better stories is ... darn, just had a brain fart and con't recall the name... where he played a mountain climbing spy guy. (The name'll come to me, I'll rewrite this then. Ugh, old age!) You should watch Play Misty For Me- great flick.
That John Malkovich performance was pretty much the best villain of the decade. He started out as a stage actor with Gary Sinise in Steppenwolf Theater Company.
The assassin was played by a brilliant actor named John Malkovich who was indeed nominated for an Oscar for that. If you want younger Eastwood go to the Dirty Harry movies. The first two, Dirty Harry and Magnum Force are considered classics. Lots of action.🙂
The Dirty Harry movies are cringe-worthy today. All the racism, misogyny, police brutality, and senseless violence that a movie ticket can buy. Standard fare for the time.
Do you want to know something coincidental? At 1:00, as an example you came up with the random name "David Russo" for a director. The lead actress in this film, has a brother called: David Russo.
If you like this type of movie, check out Absolute Power. Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, & Laura Linney. Great movie that I'm not sure I've seen any other reactor react to. :) Edit - It was also directed by Eastwood
You should watch "Dirty Harry". It's a very good suspense thriller and it stars a younger Clint Eastwood, who you said you want to see. That movie came out in 1971 so Clint Eastwood was only around 40 y.o.
Dirty Harry, with an equally superb psycho played by Andrew Robinson. Maybe even worse psycho as the actor himself had threats made on his life for playing a bad guy psycho so well.
The guy that played the President's chief of staff was Fred Dalton Thompson and the reason he plays a Politician so well is he was a United States Senator from Tennessee for many years. He also ran for President in 2008.
Next up from Clint Eastwood should be a great film he made called, "A Perfect World." Kevin Costner plays a prison escapee and Clint is the Texas Ranger hunting him down.
I remember this being the first movie that made me bust out crying when I was 10 or so and made me LOVE Casper cause of his costume. Absolutely amazing suggestion
0:04 Mark! Clint Eastwood plays a pilot/aviator in, "Tarantula", "Firefox", and "Space Cowboys"! He received his pilot's license in the 1950s and has since flown a variety of aircraft. I'm not sure if I've seen "Escape from Alcatraz". 🤔
They gave an Oscar nod to John Malkovich for his supporting role in this. Got me to appreciate his acting. You'd absolutely love John Malkovich and Gary Sinise in "Of Mice and Men" from 1992. Great movie!!!
0:04 Mark! Hello, Cassie! I just finished viewing the movie via "Netflix" and I surprised myself when I realized that I hadn't seen it since it was new in movie theaters, though I have the DVD of it. I had seen a few of his Western Genre movies on "Tubi" and I wanted a break by seeing a different genre. I forgot that, Rene Russo, is in it too and it was nice to see her again when she wasn't old enough to be Chris's mother in the "Thor" movies! I wanted to see a reaction next, so here I am! I hope that you like it! Except for the poor duck, I love the movie! 😊
Great reaction! Okay...you need to trust me here. A great movie similar to this one in the suspense features a young Kevin Costner: No Way Out. I think you will love this movie!
I would recommend you to watch FRIED GREEN TOMATOES after this as a part of your 90s movies segment, and please watch it with your sister. You won’t regret it.
If you want to see the younger Clint Eastwood, in his early 40's when he first became famous, try Dirty Harry (1971 action thriller), Play Misty For Me (1971 thriller), and the Eiger Sanction (1975 spy movie).
"Dirty Harry" and "Play Misty for me" are both very good, (and "The Eiger sanction" is pretty good) but Clint Eastwood was already a famous star before he made them. It was Eastwood's westerns in the mid and late 1960s that 1st made him a star
@@keng4847 He was definitely known. He was part of the cast of the Rawhide T.V. show in the early 60's, but T.V. actors were not well paid and considered real stars until the 70's, I think. That's why many of his early Western movies were the low budget European ones, the spaghetti Westerns.
@@jdc7923 I'm not talking about his "Rawhide" years. His movie westerns of the 1960s that came after his "Rawhide" years made him well known as a movie star, even though the 1st few of those movies were shot in Europe. Even though his spaghetti westerns were shot in Europe they were popular and made him a movie star in the USA. They are what launched his career as a movie star. He was well established as a movie star by the time he did "Dirty Harry" and "Play Misty for me". In fact, he was so well established as a star that he got to direct (as well as star in) "Play Misty for me" Which is the 1st movie he directed
23:13 He built his own gun because it needs to go through metal detectors without setting them off. Also, it's much easier to conceal if it breaks down to multiple pieces.
Just watched A Perfect World again a couple of days ago and it still holds up. I think Cassie would also like seeing Kevin Costner and Laura Dern along with Clint.
I had forgotten about this one. I watched it with my dad when it first came out on tape. I only remembered really liking it, I remembered the gun, the rabbit's foot with the bullets in it, and the elevator scene. Also John Malkovich was in top form here.
5:44 Mark! "Ambulance"? That looks like a fire 🚒 to me! Good catch about the telephone! The siren is so loud that when I was watching the movie, to my ears it was from everywhere all at once! But this time, because I double-checked the ambulance 🚑 or fire 🚒 I heard the coins dropping in the payphone! 😊
So many great movies with Clint Eastwood ( one of my favorite actors ). He is also an amazing director. Mystic River is a great example, but there are many others. Like others have said Clint made his name early in westerns and they are awesome. But his first movie out of the action drama and that he directed as well was " Play Misty For Me ". It's a suspense / thriller and well worth a watch. 😊💜
The villain, John Malkovich, is such a great character actor, and very versatile. You need to watch him in: - Con Air; - Rounders; - The Man in the Iron Mask; - Of Mice and Men; - Dangerous Liaisons; - Death of a Salesman;
Con Air is very very cheesy action movie. IMO it is one the most cheesy in a bad way action movies I ever seen... Like the Chuck Norris Missing in Action films
Rounders is amazing. Must watch from any movie lover before they die. Matt Damon was on fire in the 90's. I heard it said that the writer of Rounders followed around Norm MacDonald as he went to a bunch of underground poker games and was inspired by those experiences to write the screenplay.
35:43 Mark😊! 6.5K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome, and thanks! ☺️ Notes: "Creepy"? Hmm. To me, he's funny looking, so that can lower your guard and he could creep in at that! In the "DC" CBM "RED" franchise, his character has the deadly skill set too, as a retired "CIA" operative, but he gets to be as funny as he looks, so I enjoy that role more so! 😉
This is one of my favorite movies of the 90s growing up! SUCH a good movie. It seems like it doesn't get enough recognition and I don't see enough reactors reacting to it! Oh and yeah, John Malkovich was better than Tommy Lee Jones in my opinion as well!
At 18:42 “I feel like he’s more obsessed with Frank than he is the President at this point.” Exactly. It was always about Frank, and never about the President. One thing I love about this film is that we never find out, and don’t even get a hint, if the President is a Democrat or a Republican, because the film is presented from the Secret Service agents’ perspective, and it never matters to them. The villain “Booth” couldn’t care less who the President is either.
Gene Siskel once said that a movie is only as good as its villain. Consequently, this movie is fantastic partly because it has a fantastic villain brilliantly played by John Malkovich.
@@jp3813 True, but not every movie has (or needs) a villain. If it's the kind of story that requires a villain, he better be a good one because if he's weak, the movie will be too.
@@StickFigureStudios Honestly, most of the Indiana Jones movies have pretty weak villains except for Mola Ram, but they're still entertaining apart from the 4th one.
One of the most accomplished members of the cast was Fred Dalton Thompson, who played Harry. He was a lawyer who served as special counsel to the Watergate committee and as a deputy United States Attorney. He was also elected as a US Senator from his home state of Tennessee, serving for 12 years. As an actor, you saw him - or will see him - in Hunt for Red October, Die Hard 2 and Days of Thunder.
If you liked John Malkovich in this movie watch Places in the Heart. He is the exact opposite of this character. Sally Field plays the lead along with Danny Glover and Ed Harris. Really good film.
"Remains of the Day," is one of my FAVORITE MOVIES! I dont know if you would like it, but I would still recommend it. It has so much "unsaid." The love story is beautiful.
Totally agree, Anthony Hopkins gives one of the best acting performances you will ever see. It's great to show someone who only knows him from his "Hannibal Lecter" films, it really shows his amazing range as an actor.
So glad you came across this one! Great work by Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich - who was nominated for his role - and of course Wolfgang Petersen, who made Das Boot, Air Force One & The Perfect Storm. (He also made Troy, but few people have perfect track records!) Eastwood is particularly good here; I don't think he was ever better as an actor. This turned out to be a banner year for him, as he picked up two Oscars for Unforgiven, starred in this film and directed/starred in A Perfect World (another great, overlooked movie that I'm sure you'd like).
True Crime, Blood Work, Absolute Power. All good Eastwood movies. If you want to see Clint Eastwood in his younger days, check out "Rawhide". A TV western from the 50s. He plays Rowdy Yates.
"Absolute Power" (1997) is another entertaining Eastwood film from this phase of his career. It has a somewhat similar flavor and setting and another great cast. Here are a few more thrillers you might also enjoy: The Most Dangerous Game (1932, colorized) Joel McCrea, Fay Wray Man Hunt (1941) Walter Pidgeon In A Lonely Place (1950) Humphrey Bogart, Gloria Grahame Don't Bother To Knock (1952) Marilyn Monroe, Richard Widmark The Night of the Hunter (1955) Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters The Bad Seed (1956) Patty McCormack, Nancy Kelly Cape Fear (1962) Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum Wait Until Dark (1967) Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin The Day of the Jackal (1973) Edward Fox The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw The Odessa File (1974) Jon Voight Marathon Man (1976) Dustin Hoffman, Lawrence Olivier The Silent Partner (1978) Elliot Gould, Christopher Plummer Tightrope (1984) Clint Eastwood, Genivieve Bujold The Bedroom Window (1987) Elizabeth McGovern, Steve Guttenberg Dead Calm (1989) Sam Neill, Nicole Kidman
To watch John Malkovich in something else where you'll actually like him, check him out in Places in the Heart (1984) with Sally Field. It takes place in 1935 in a small rural town. Sally and John both won an Oscars in this one.
He was nominated, he didn’t win. He’s never gotten an Oscar, which is ridiculous. Didn’t even get nominated for Dangerous Liaisons, which I will forever be salty about.
This was one of the big, anticipated movies of the summer of 1993, when summer movie season had more of an impact. The trailer was attached to movies for a couple of months. It made over 100 million in theaters, which was a definite hit movie for an R-rated thriller. It was perceived as one of the smarter, more adult thrillers. Clint Eastwood was hot again after "Unforgiven" the year before, as well as Rene Russo after "Lethal Weapon 3," and John Malkovich would become more in demand because of this as well. I don't know how several people are regarding it as "underrated" just because it might not be in memes or have five sequels or something. Maybe it has something to do with so many movies and TV series covering the political thriller realm in the last couple of decades. When this movie came out, the Secret Service methods and tactics still had some mystique.
I loved this movie. I even re-watched it again a week ago. John Malkovich played his part terrifically IMO. Some other Eastwood movies I'd recommend: Absolute Power True Crime Space Cowboys Blood Work
SO excited for this! I’ve been surprised that no one has reacted to it. It is a classic from the ‘90s and Malkovich is just absolutely stellar in it. Can’t wait to watch your reaction! Keep up the great reactions!
To see him young, see him in Dirty Harry. That was the film that cemented him as a superstar in America for good. His birthday is coming up on the 31st of this month. He will be 92. Maybe you could react to Dirty Harry and post it for his birthday. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!
You say you want to see more like this. If you haven't seen The Bodyguard, you should definitely watch it. Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston with suspense, action, intrigue, great music, and of course for you a love story!
Cassie, here’s the perfect movie for you: ‘Sully’. Eastwood directed it - wonderfully - and it stars Tom Hanks. It’s based on the true story of Chesley Sullenberger, the pilot who saved an entire plane full of passengers when it lost engine power. He made a daring and heroic landing in New York’s Hudson River. The movie has a dramatic recreation of the incident, but it’s mainly about the tough questions Sullenberger faced afterwards - from others and from his own self doubt. He was really haunted by these demons, and that’s very hard to show onscreen. But here it’s painfully vivid, thanks to the outstanding work of Hanks and Eastwood.
Such a great film Malkovich and Eastwood at the top of their game in this one. Would also like to add 2 films that you definitely should react too that are in a similar vein The Jackal (1997) and The Day of the Jackal (1973)

I really enjoy your movie reactions because you are a true movie lover. I don't care for those of the self proclaimed film students who seem to want to critique great works with their knowledge base obliviously going way back to the mid 2010's.
I loved this movie for many reasons, but I love the fact that Clint Eastwood allowed his character to grow old and act his age. Too many action stars at 60 pretend like they are still 30. One of the reason I love Jamie Lee Curtis
Great reaction, PIP! I was so excited to see you were going to watch this one. If you’re looking for another great thriller, I would highly recommend a Mel Gibson movie called Conspiracy Theory.
Once Clint 'left' the western genre he really went everywhere with his productions. Some better than others but all solid enough entertainment. When he returned to his 'roots', there was an overwhelming satisfaction with his effort which won the Oscar. Since then he's continued to be both effective AND efficient.
A good film to see Clint Eastwood young? Easy. Paint Your Wagon. It's a musical. Probably not a movie for your channel. But is one of my most favourite flims ever. Stellar cast, and the songs are awsome!

You should react to…
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
It's Clint Eastwood at his best. 🎥🤠
Any of the Eastwood "Spaghetti Westerns" are good choices
Personally I found "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" to be quite boring... and I'm 42 years old male, who often loves dramas and movies without any violence. The old westerns are really good at putting me to sleep. Honestly the best Clint movies she hasn't seen are Gran Torino, Perfect World and Million Dollar Baby, not the stuff where Clint is young
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly is one of the greatest movies ever made. You need to see some Sergio Leone.
@@shredd5705 Interesting take. I personally find every scene in the good the bad and the ugly draws me in and captivates me. And I'm a couple of years younger than you.
Shredd
I assume it was simple forgetfullness that made you leave out Every Which Way But Loose.
Mitch Leary (John Malkovich) is an intriguing villain because not is this guy unscrupulous but he’s also a master of disguise.
"Mystic River" is a must watch. Directed by Clint Eastwood with a great cast.
I absolutely love that movie!!! It's one of my favorites.
That will break her
You would love 'Dangerous Liaisons' with Malcovich and many more great actors.
The Outlaw Josey Wales is peak Clint Eastwood and an incredible movie.
" It's Josey Wales! "..." I don't want to Hear Wales dead. I want to See Wales dead! "
" It's Josey Wales! "..." I don't want to Hear Wales dead. I want to See Wales dead! "
My favorite is also The Outlaw Josey Wales...along with Heartbreak Ridge. But don't leave out Pale Rider.
Dying ain't much of a living boy.
Can't watch that before the first two in the Dollars Trilogy
Loved that series, and consider Good-Bad-Ugly to be the first one a person should watch just because of the time-line of those years. Then Fistful of Dollars and Few Dollars More. One of his better stories is ... darn, just had a brain fart and con't recall the name... where he played a mountain climbing spy guy. (The name'll come to me, I'll rewrite this then. Ugh, old age!) You should watch Play Misty For Me- great flick.
@@knokname6466 The Eiger Sanction from 1975😀
The Outlaw Josey Wales > all
@@t0dd000 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is actually a prequel to the first two.
That John Malkovich performance was pretty much the best villain of the decade. He started out as a stage actor with Gary Sinise in Steppenwolf Theater Company.
John Malkovich kills it in this film. This was my first experience with him. He completely creeped me out. Great reaction.
literally
One of the best films of the 1990's.
The assassin was played by a brilliant actor named John Malkovich who was indeed nominated for an Oscar for that. If you want younger Eastwood go to the Dirty Harry movies. The first two, Dirty Harry and Magnum Force are considered classics. Lots of action.🙂
Oh yeah Dirty Harry.. it's great
Play Misty for Me...Clint the stud...with great music
The Dirty Harry movies are cringe-worthy today. All the racism, misogyny, police brutality, and senseless violence that a movie ticket can buy. Standard fare for the time.
Do you want to know something coincidental? At 1:00, as an example you came up with the random name "David Russo" for a director. The lead actress in this film, has a brother called: David Russo.
If you like this type of movie, check out Absolute Power. Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, & Laura Linney. Great movie that I'm not sure I've seen any other reactor react to. :)
Edit - It was also directed by Eastwood
Absolutely.
oh yes! I forgot about that one
Good movie.
Another vote for "The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly" Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach. One of the greatest movies of all-time !!
You should watch "Dirty Harry". It's a very good suspense thriller and it stars a younger Clint Eastwood, who you said you want to see. That movie came out in 1971 so Clint Eastwood was only around 40 y.o.
Yeah, and The Dollars Trilogy is Clint Eastwood in his 30s
Rawhide is even before that, but I don't think anyone has time to watch that kind of tv
It's such a great film 😊
Love that movie
Absolutely
That movie is so disturbing
I remember this being the first movie that made me bust out crying when I was 10 or so and made me LOVE Casper cause of his costume.
Absolutely amazing suggestion
This is a really good movie that I feel passed under a lot of people's radars.
My favorite Clint Eastwood movies when he was young: "The Good, the Bad, the Ugly". "Dirty Harry". "Kelly's Heroes". "Every Which Way But Loose"
Tell me about the rabbits, George....
Not only is Clint Eastwood a great actor he's also a great director too. There is so much Clint stuff that are a must see.
An amazing thriller along the same lines of this is “The Pelican Brief” with Denzel Washington and Julia Robert’s.
I love it still!
Agree. Love that movie too
Everything is comes on!
if you want to see malkovich at his manipulative wonderfulness, watch Dangerous Liaisons. he's SO good in that movie.
I would recommend you to watch FRIED GREEN TOMATOES after this as a part of your 90s movies segment, and please watch it with your sister. You won’t regret it.
Great suggestion
Great suggestion!
John Malkovich is making a five course meal of the scenery.
@@keng4847 and then Rawhide that put him on the radar, from 1959-1966
@@keng4847 He was definitely known.
Thanks so much. I can't figure out why this movie isn't reacted to more. I think a Perfect World would be right up your alley.
Just watched A Perfect World again a couple of days ago and it still holds up. I think Cassie would also like seeing Kevin Costner and Laura Dern along with Clint.
"I know things about pigeons, Lilly". Forgot about that line. Totally cracked me up! 😂
I had forgotten about this one. I watched it with my dad when it first came out on tape. I only remembered really liking it, I remembered the gun, the rabbit's foot with the bullets in it, and the elevator scene. Also John Malkovich was in top form here.
Great movie. One of my favorites, an intense villain, makes a huge difference.
John Malkovich is a Legend.
The villain, John Malkovich, is such a great character actor, and very versatile.
You need to watch him in:
- Con Air;
- Rounders;
- The Man in the Iron Mask;
- Of Mice and Men;
- Dangerous Liaisons;
- Death of a Salesman;
Con Air is very very cheesy action movie. IMO it is one the most cheesy in a bad way action movies I ever seen... Like the Chuck Norris Missing in Action films
RED & RED 2
He is also quite fine in 'Being John Malkovich' (as "John Horatio Malkovich"), just saying
Rounders is amazing. Must watch from any movie lover before they die. Matt Damon was on fire in the 90's. I heard it said that the writer of Rounders followed around Norm MacDonald as he went to a bunch of underground poker games and was inspired by those experiences to write the screenplay.
@@jasonmartin7711 - Cyrus the Virus
35:43 Mark😊! 6.5K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome, and thanks! ☺️
Notes: "Creepy"?
I agree, i mean Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor but there was nothing special about his performance in The Fugitive.
At 18:42 “I feel like he’s more obsessed with Frank than he is the President at this point.”
Exactly.
Though I'm sure Gene has liked many movies that don't have villains.
Fred was also on Law and Order for a while, and he even ran for the Republican nomination for President himself in 2008!
If you liked John Malkovich in this movie watch Places in the Heart. He is the exact opposite of this character. Sally Field plays the lead along with Danny Glover and Ed Harris. Really good film.
The big revelation is Cassie can't wink lol too dang adorable
"Remains of the Day," is one of my FAVORITE MOVIES! I dont know if you would like it, but I would still recommend it. It has so much "unsaid." The love story is beautiful.
Totally agree, Anthony Hopkins gives one of the best acting performances you will ever see. It's great to show someone who only knows him from his "Hannibal Lecter" films, it really shows his amazing range as an actor.
True. I stumbled on the opening auction scene when I was in my 20s, and was immediately captivated.
So many recognizable faces in this movie
So glad you came across this one! Great work by Clint Eastwood, John Malkovich - who was nominated for his role - and of course Wolfgang Petersen, who made Das Boot, Air Force One & The Perfect Storm. (He also made Troy, but few people have perfect track records!)
Eastwood is particularly good here; I don't think he was ever better as an actor.
I agree
"Absolute Power" (1997) is another entertaining Eastwood film from this phase of his career. It has a somewhat similar flavor and setting and another great cast.
Here are a few more thrillers you might also enjoy:
The Most Dangerous Game (1932, colorized) Joel McCrea, Fay Wray
Man Hunt (1941) Walter Pidgeon
In A Lonely Place (1950) Humphrey Bogart, Gloria Grahame
Don't Bother To Knock (1952) Marilyn Monroe, Richard Widmark
The Night of the Hunter (1955) Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters
The Bad Seed (1956) Patty McCormack, Nancy Kelly
Cape Fear (1962) Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum
Wait Until Dark (1967) Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin
The Day of the Jackal (1973) Edward Fox
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw

Tightrope (1984) Clint Eastwood, Genivieve Bujold
The Bedroom Window (1987) Elizabeth McGovern, Steve Guttenberg
Dead Calm (1989) Sam Neill, Nicole Kidman
Where Eagles Dare is a fantastic film, a Spy/War thriller film and Clint Eastwood is amazing in it, one of his earlier films came out in 1968.
"Inside Man" with Denzel Washington - is my recommendation, thrilling, little scary at times, clever plot twist... Love it!
That’s the first good recommendation yet in this thread. You have great taste.
Good Choice for Denzel. The Pelican Brief and the Manchurian Candidate are also great choices for thrilling Denzel films.
“The Firm” (1993) with Tom Cruise
I saw this movie around the time it came out. Amazing how well it stands up. Great movie. You are correct. Malkovich should've won the Oscar.
This was the first rated R movie I ever saw in the theater (I was 14 in 1993)...it holds a special place in my heart and I love this film.
Excellent choice. It's a great film.
When this movie came out, the Secret Service methods and tactics still had some mystique.
as a huge eastwood fan, I think I've only seen this once.. Will have to rewatch.. you need to do million dollar baby.. and grand tarismo
I loved this movie. I even re-watched it again a week ago. John Malkovich played his part terrifically IMO.
Some other Eastwood movies I'd recommend:
Absolute Power
True Crime
Space Cowboys
Blood Work
Another great villain was played by Kevin Spacey in the movie Se7en. Check it out.
SO excited for this! I’ve been surprised that no one has reacted to it. It is a classic from the ‘90s and Malkovich is just absolutely stellar in it. Can’t wait to watch your reaction!
If you like this I also recommend the Jack Ryan movies, especially *Clear and Present Danger* with Harrison Ford but also *Patriot Games* I know you have already seen *The Hunt For Red October* with Alec Baldwin.
Keep up the great reactions!
I think Harrison Ford's Jack Ryan films are coming. She pulled Clear and Present Danger out of pillowcase last live.
Also I Line Of Fire was part of last Oscar poll so hopefully we keep getting more different types of movies every month.
She’s done The Hunt For Red October. It’s her father’s favorite film as I recall.
That Chief of staff later became a real senator from Tennessee.
To see him young, see him in Dirty Harry. That was the film that cemented him as a superstar in America for good. His birthday is coming up on the 31st of this month. He will be 92. Maybe you could react to Dirty Harry and post it for his birthday. Just a thought. Keep up the great work!
You should try Kelly’s Heroes, although a comedy it is one of the best WW2 themed films…
Who would have believed Bruce Willis would make such a believable bad guy. It's like seeing Robin Williams in Insomnia.
Cassie, I’m glad your coming around and liking these thriller style movies and there’s a lot of other movies which are a great watch. 😊 Popcorn in bed 👌
John Malkovich is a great actor, and you are right Cassie, he should’ve won best supporting actor that year.
29:03 Mark! That taxi cab driver! That seriousness he has had me thinking that he has been waiting for a chance to drive like he's in a police car! Maybe he's had prior experience, too, since he's doing very well! 😊
By the way, the duck hunters don't get any empathy from me. Poor ducks, instead. But the roomies with dog do. Poor them, poor dog. 😢
That hotel is the setting for "It's A Living!" A sitcom about the main restaurant there. It is also the whole of the "City of Atlantis" in "The Fantastic Journey"! It is a 25th-century building in the "City of New Chicago" setting of the first season of "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century"! 😎
Great movie. There's also a lot of humor in it. Mel Gibson is fantastic in that one.
She always wants the hero to get the girl, in paint your wagon they both do.
