We went to the farmers market today and my lil one said “I hope we see becky” 😂 we are on the other side on US.
How adorable 😊!!
My 5 year old loves to watch Becky with me. We had landscapers doing some work on our yard this week and she asked if i was going to bake some cookies like Becky ❤❤❤
How cute. ❤😁
Oh my gosh - adorable! ❤
I. Love. All. Of. This!
I personally would LOVE more videos just like this. I'm battling cancer and just don't have the energy to strength to cook full on meals. These seemed easy enough that I could do these. Keep up the great work Becky! Sincerely, a long time subscriber
A cancer survivor three times 🙏. So I understand. You are in my prayers. God's speed.
🙏 ❤
I'm praying for you. May God cover you with His healing power, Jehovah Rapha you are healed by His stripes!❤
Prayers for you in your battle.
Wishing you the best! I too am having some health issues that just make things overwhelming, so I hear ya. I have been in a wheelchair for almost 2 years with a destroyed right foot. Just recently was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease and a brain tumor. Some days are just too much. Let's keep each other in our thoughts and hope the universe hears us. Take care!
My six year old daughter Abigail and I watch your videos everyday from England. She just loves gardening and specially your chickens. What she said made my day today and hope it will make yours r too. She said becky looks so nice and kind when she smiles everyone should smile and be happy like her.
Abigail is absolutely spot on! Becky is lovely and makes us all smile ❤️ All over the world ❤️😊🐓❤️ 🌎 🥰
I love when she talks about her chickens too! We need to see more of the chickens!! 🐔
@@ABCDEF-mo3lzyes please, we would like to see more chickens 🐓 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓
Have you ever watched something or heard something that really isn’t that funny, but for some reason sends you into an absolute fit of hysterical laughter? Parmesan sugar did that for me 😂 Wonderful work as always Becky!
Same, my son used to call it "cheese pepper" so that was a great reminder as he's now 21.🥲
And here I thought it was a such thing as parmesan sugar.😃😃
@@missymoon4970me too. I was going to look into that.
Becky was so confident when she said parmesan sugar, I love it, def smiled at that.
I totally went to look up "what is parmesan sugar!?"
Wow you are such an efficient workhorse. Some days, I'm proud of myself for just putting on some pants. And here you are, pumping out full blown meals multiple times a day. I am in awe of your ability to plan and prepare home cooked meals.
Becky, I just love how you adapted after losing your freezer meals and showed us how to make quick meals for our families. Even our best laid plans can go awry at anytime and being able to grieve the situation, learn from it and move forward is a very important life skill. Thank you for sharing that with us with such grace.
Just a suggestion: When adding seasonings to a dish, don't place the container of seasoning directly over the pan or pot. Sometimes steam can get into the seasoning jar and that can cause clumping and sometimes even contribute to early spoilage. I like to use a "pinch cup" as the transition vessel from spice jar to the dish for all my spices and seasonings - even though it is one extra dish to wash, I feel like it minimizes "ooops added too much (or the wrong)" spice or seasoning. The Instant Pot is a great tool for cooking, especially in the summer when you don't want to heat up the kitchen!
That’s a really good point! I will definitely be more careful with that!
YES! This is super good advice! I learned this from my mom and it is super helpful! Sometimes you just can't help it but if you can avoid it, definitely a wise idea :)
I absolutely love the view out your kitchen window. Half the time you're explaining what you're doing I'm just hypnotized by the landscape. It honestly looks like something out of a picture, it's so unreal how beautiful it is.
Aw thanks so much!
Ditto! 😂
@@No1Greyhound Do you have greyhound dogs?
@@danapanapooper1441 no I don’t. It’s a mascot.
@@No1Greyhound Oh ok, I’ve adopted three greyhounds over the years. One of the absolute best breeds!
My favorite & tested Instant Pot things to cook that would otherwise take hours on stove or oven are...
Pork Butt or Shoulder for: Carnitas, BBQ Pulled Pork, Hawaiian Pork
Chuck Roast for: Italian Beef, Pot Roast, Barbacoa
Dried Beans: Pintos, Black Beans with Sausage, 15 Bean, BBQ Beans
Chicken Broth: with leftover bones
Risotto: no stirring
Egg Bites: because they're fun in the molds
😄
I've picked up the phrase 'thank you for being you' and I think it's been a great addition to my limited social skills. Thank you for being you Becky. :)
Please do more instant pot. Videos I love seeing new ideas that are quick and easy !
Exactly what I need right now. AC broken, too hot to cook meals and bake in the oven. Thank you, Becky! I have learned so many new ways to cook, garden and to enjoy everything in life. Have a blessed day!!
Great video, Becky! Loved the cookbook review and taste test. Hope you have a part 2 to the video. 😊
Thanks for being you!
My AC Broken also 😊❤
Becky please do this weekly instant pot video again. I enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
As an Instant Pot user, this was nice to watch. All looked delicious too. A few tips if you’re interested. Yr sister in law is right, noodles need to be in liquid, juste to the itsy top of them to ensure they get fully cooked. Also to note, a meat recipe that speaks to a full roast has its cooking time set according to the size/weight of it (heat penetration from outside to inside), therefore cutting a large piece of meat in smaller pieces could see it be over cooked. Not so bad on beef, but can make chicken breasts hard to palate, so stick to the recipe’s recommendations. On the last recipe, you suggested adding broccoli to it, but that is a tender veggie, would not be added to beginning of the cook. Would need to interrupt the cook with a quick release at the end to add brocco and then re pressurize (it’s quick repressure when everything is already piping hot) but to give you an idea, fresh broco is set to 0 minutes and frozen is 1-2 minutes in IP to not have a broco mush. Most people like to purchase a 3 quart IP to manage the delicate sides instead of fussing with the full cook interruptions. And the small unit is nice for small batches of anything because the minimum liquid requirement of larger ones prevents small batches. My fave of all this video, and I was waiting on it was when you said I will follow every recipe and then proceeded to alter most of them. :). We are cooking sisters my friend. But as an example, when you added extra adobo peppers, you basically added liquid which accounts to liquid in the recipe because this cooking method does not have evaporation. It did not matter in that case, but if doing a rice or pasta, you might wonder why is it so soupy. Last tip I have is that if adding any tomato product, always add it on top as a last ingredient and do not stir it in. Tomatoes are sweet and scorch easy and will give you a burn notice if go to bottom of pot. Well done on the IP marathon, looking forward to more.
Whenever I cook noodles in the instant pot I check them to see if they’re done before finishing the recipe. If they’re not done then I just put the instant pot for an extra minute.
Thanks for these hints!
Great tips! Thank you
Great detailed response. Thanks for the tips!
Becky, when you’re using your knife to scrape the chicken or whatever into the pot, use the dull side of the blade so you don’t dull the sharp side.
I never thought of that, thanks
I love watching you “shop” in your garden
Just a heads up don’t ever cover the steam on the instant pot, it can disrupt the depressurization on the pot and can also clog the hole. Instant Pot themselves also list to never cover the steam. Happy cooking!
That’s what I thought also. Temu has a thing to put on the depressor made like a hook for probably $1. I ❤ it. You just turn the steam towards another way. It’s really nice.
I usually crochet while I’m watching my UA-cam videos channels BUT…When Becky comes on, I stop everything to watch every minute so I don’t miss ANYTHING!!!! Woo Hoo!!
First time watching and you are a really wholesome chef Becky, whoever lives with you is very lucky. Very happy seeing all the garden ingredients and things you make from scratch
“Pressure Luck Cooking” and Six Sister’s Stuff” are both channels with really good Instant Pot recipes
Hi. We love all your videos of course, but I'm happy that we get to see some more cooking from you today! That's what originally drew me to your channel and yes you are a great cook!
You're a great cook Becky! Im sorry about your freezer but Im glad you are sharing these recipes with us. Something good comes from bad. Have a great weekend!
❤ Becky i am so excited you made this Instant Pot video! I have always wanted an Instant Pot and now I am ready to go ahead and get one! Thank you so much for all your videos! I have learned so much from you ❤And not just cooking, gardening, preserving but also about generosity and being content and just so much I have benefited from you❤❤❤
I to now want a InstaPot. I’m current asking friends if I could borrow one to play with before making the investment.
Hi
I’m going to request this cookbook from my local library and try all these recipes out! That’s my favorite way to try new cookbooks 😊
It's so gratifying to get your own food that you are having with dinner. Tonight we are using green and yellow zucchini. Yummy!
Have the instantpot and barely have used. Just ordered the cookbook for myself. Great way to have dinner ideas after-work without spending hours in the kitchen. Hardcover was priced very cheaply compared to the paperback book. Thanks Becky for always inspiring us and giving us different options.
How were the oats .
What's the name of the cookbook. Thanks
You should bring out a recipe book with all your favourite things you cook
You are such an inspiration to all the young men and women today! Most only know how to order carryouts.
This is perfect timing Becky. I recently purchased an Instant Pot and is disappointing that there are no recipes in the box. It’s 3am Sunday morning here in Queensland Australia and I am awake with severe leg cramping so you are helping me through it. And congratulations on 450000 subscribers I have been viewing since 15000 you have come a long way.
Magnesium supplements resolved my leg cramps. Have you tried that?
If you like curry type food, lookup keto butter chicken for instant pot. It’s to die for.
Magnesium excellent for it
If you are taking cholesterol lowering drugs those will give you leg cramping. I was getting up multiple times a night. Sometimes 10-12 times. Talk to your doctor if this could be your issue. Take care from Las Vegas, Nevada, Debbie Lavigne
@@robertlavigne6560 - I had a relative who had horrible side effects from a cholesterol lowering drug. Everything resolved as soon as he stopped taking it.
I love it when I get a notification for your channel. You inspire me.
Hi Becky, I have seen where you shouldn't put a towel over the pot when releasing the steam, it can void the warranty. Saw this on Tried, tested and true with Lisa Childs
I invert a pint jar over the steam release and then a towel over top of that just to hold onto the jar as the glass gets hot. Basically the condensation from the steam just collects around the inside of the jar. Not sure if that would be approved or not but that’s what I’ve always done.
They have gadgets that can redirect the steam and make it not so intense.
@@wickedwinniethat sound like an even worse idea than the towel
@@natalieeubank4533 Well the new model I got has the same thing built in, a plastic cover with holes inverted over the steam vent... so it's doing the same exact thing my jar is. So, I guess not such a bad idea after all
Your videos are fascinating to me! As someone who is not a good cook, I'm mesmerized at how effortlessly you put together these meals!
Mimic Becky for a while and you will be a good cook!
I’m so glad you have started trying new things in the instant pot, I have 2 of them (different sizes) and love them both. The model you have you can actually put your lid in the groove on the side so you don’t have to set it on the counter if you want. Thank you for all your great videos, NEVER a boring video 😊
Mysitfied2035 - I came to give this hint too! Good job! @Becky, I am so happy that you have found a new love for your IP to make quick meals while you reload your freezer after the loss of your stocked up meals. You will get that freezer stocked back up in no time!
Watching you make all these dishes makes me consider purchasing an Instant Pot. I'm solo retired and a one dish meal that provides extra that I could freeze a few servings for later sounds great. Also, you make it look so easy to brown meat, add a starch, and sauce. Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
If you decide to purchase an Instant pot (or similar), I strongly recommend you get a 6 quart or larger, even being a single person.
Highly recommend getting one, I have found it amazing & great for big portions you can freeze up 💚
You won’t be sorry! I am cooking for one and it makes cooking easy. The hardest part for me was finding recipes.
Also look at the Ninja Speedi airfryer I got one in April and since then it’s been my main cooking source, in fact I’ve not used my oven or hob since, I also take it with us on holiday, because it also cooks rice or pasta or roast veg, on the top trivet you cook your meat or fish or chicken, it also cooks a whole chicken in about 30 mins, it grills it fry’s, it steams, it bakes, and it airfrys. You don’t have a pressure cooker but that’s not a problem to me, I just love it.
That was what i was thinking! The eight quart would be the most efficient for putting things into the freezer. Thanks for the advice.@@lindahoffman8890
Talk about serendipity! The last couple of days here have been stupid hot and there was no way I was using the stove, so I broke out my poor, neglected instant pot and realized that I should use it more often. Thanks for the recipe ideas for it, Becky!
haha i know we all giggles when Becky said she was going to follow the recipe's to a T lol i always add a little extra so i love that she does too
I shared some Ground Roasted Garlic with a friend and she is hooked!! I gave her a small shaker bottle, and two weeks later, she asked for a refill!!
FANTASTIC recipes from the instant pot!! also, the salsa and pickled veggies sound amazing, oh, and also the peas!!!!!
I love this vlog! Seeing us-american cook and eat clean food warms my heart! Hope there are many people out there who eat just as clean food!
When you use paper towel to soak up fat it is a great fire starter. Or you can use stale bread or bread crust and give to the chickens they love it. It’s great for their feathers and to keep them warm in winter
Sorry about your freezer accident, but for instant pot freezer meals I sometimes use six sisters' stuff one of the best sites I have watched and used and they are not time consuming ❤
I also love Jeffery of Pressure Luck. Easy easy recipes (he's on youtube)
You might want to get more rings and insert pot for your instant pot cooker. I find that it work best if let say you have one that is dirty or it still has leftovers in there.
So happy to see you using your IP. Sometimes we forget how much fun and useful something is when we don’t use it for awhile. This 70 year old grandma uses it a lot , including for some of my different canning chores
Nice delicate harvesting with the scissors this time 😊
TASTY TIP: Lettuce cut in the early mornings is sweet tasting! If you cut it late it becomes sour. Try it Becky!
Thank you for inspiring me to use my garden produce! I've had my garden for years and years and have fallen out of the habit of actually cooking everyday from the garden. I really appreciate your sharing of recipe and sude dish ideas!❤
Just ordered the cook book. Will enjoy learning
Just a thought, Jeffrey Eisner has 3 Instant Pot cookbooks that I bet you would enjoy, especially his first one that has an orange cover, lots of creamy sauces. The orange and blue books are now at Ollie's (if you have that store near you) for $5 each.
I have made at least 40 if his recipes and all have been winners.
If you warm the lemon up in the microwave for a few seconds, that helps to release its juices as well.
I've had my Insta Pot in storage for awhile, I think I'm going to get it out! By the way, I've always thought you could decorate your kitchen shelves with some beautiful cookbooks :) They bring such color and texture. Thanks for all you do :)
Instant Pot.
Thanks to your inspiration I made garlic pucks with about 1/2 of my garlic harvest. I haven't used many yet but already I'm in love.
I’m so happy you did this. I always make my Spanish rice in mine, but forget sometimes I should be using it more often. Especially in this heat!
Can you do instant pot recipes with how to freeze them once done? Thanks for sharing these recipes.
As a nontraditional student, these sound doable with my schedule. Plus I'd have lunch to take with me. Maybe I'll see about making these on the weekend. Great ideas! Thank you!😊
The timing of this video is hilariously perfect, I have only just started to use the electric pressure cooker my grandma left me THIS WEEK! And it's been an absolute hit with my whole family, so I'm PUMPED to have more recipe ideas for this amazing machine!! Thank you so much!!
I appreciate that you really use every ingredient thoroughly and don't leave a lot behind in the storage container on the plate like many people do.
Next time you have to shred meat try using the ground beef Smasher like you used for the sausage. It's so much easier!
Love how you shop your garden when planning delicious meals.
Congratulations on 450K subscribers 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Becky, Jillee from "One Good Thing by Jillee" had a tip about peeling garlic, which I know isn't one of your favorite things. She microwaves the head of garlic for 20 seconds, then pulls apart the cloves. Microwaving produces steam which allows the outer paper to slip right off. I haven't tried it, but thought of you. Hope it's a time saver for you.
That’s a great cookbook. There is a book for meals in a jar for your instant pot. It is pretty good and uses dehydrated veggies.
Great video! Just requested the cookbook from
my library; I’m excited!
Becky, halve some smaller squash, add oil and some seasoning and cook them on the grill. They are FABULOUS cooked this way!
I made that 1st recipe with diced paprika peppers. Oh boy, I loved it!
I LOVE garden fresh raw peas and beans, it reminds me of my childhood and eating them right off the vine at my friend's house.
This was a really fun episode! Loved all the variety. I also have an instapot that I rarely use & you’ve gotten me excited to break it out!
Some really good ideas I could use for our family of 11. Love these cooking videos xx
I'd say my favorite instant pot recipes at the moment are butter chicken and pulled pork.
I need an Instant Pot as soon as possible! Thank you for the video!
Thanks Becky. Those I.P. meals looked so good. I just may have to buy that book.
Becky. Made the Dreamy chicken tonight. It's a HIT! Thanks for always sharing. Love your channel ❤
Becky go watch some six sisters UA-cam channel on their Instant pot meals, recipes, tips, and tricks. You can learn from them to adapt your own recipes to cook in the Instant pot. I love my instant pot that I have 3 different sizes. I also use them 4 to 5 nights a week. One of our favorite is Mississippi mud roast.
You need to find an ultimate slow cooker recipe book for all of us. It's definitely an under utilised appliance in my house.
I'm tempted to buy an instant pot. Those recipes look so easy.
Super. I loved all the receipts. Thank you.
Hi Becky. Love your channel. You’ve inspired me in many ways. Thank you for what you do and showing us we can do things that we once thought were impossible. Where did you get your white knives from?
What a great way to get a dinner and a freezer meal. I haven’t used my instant pot for awhile. Going to make the squash and zucchini fries. Thank you. Loved this video. Blessings❤️🌺
What a beautiful garden.
I have a Indian Insta pot cookbook. I plan on getting a few more Insta pot cookbooks it is so much fun.
We just experimented a couple months ago with stroganoff in the instant pot. I've had really really good success using sliced round steak(usually, it's a tough, unpleasant sort of meat but not in this recipe!). I sauteed the meat first and then add everything. It makes the round steak super tender. I use the recipe from six sisters stuff and she adds the pasta at the end of the recipe. Another hack for pasta in the instant pot(we also do spaghetti and meatballs), you can add more water and saute until the noodles cook through. But yes, I found the same to be true as your sister, just cover dry noodles with enough liquid and they seem to cook through
You definitely sold me this book! Love my instant pot and hope to learn lots of new recipes.
Thanks, I have only used my instant pot max for canning. You have inspired me to try cooking with it!
You might be able to grow the cilantro in your grow room, if it’s temperature controlled
Hi Becky! Many thanks for the video!! I have considered buying an instant pot for a few months, and seeing it in use was very useful!! Would love to see more content from your experience using it :) have a great weekend!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Really needed some dinner ideas this week!
I tend to use my Instant Pot to make ingredients or yogurt. I really need to do more meals too. Going to look into that cookbook for inspiration. Thanks Becky!
Love pork for tacos, my husband just made Barbacoa this morning and it was so good. Have a great weekend ❤
Great choice of recipes Josh and Becky. They look delicious and Josh loved them. Good stuff! Keep on enjoying your different Instant Pot recipes. Bon Appetito!
I made the dreamy chicken last night and it was so good and easy! We will be adding it to our meal rotation! Thanks Becky 😊
Love the easy meal ideas!
I love, love, love my Instant Pot. It’s so easy when you’re in a hurry but still want a yummy meal. One of my favorite things to cook is country style ribs. They fall off the bone and they’re delicious. 🎉
How do you do your ribs in the Instant Pot? Thanks
Hi watching from South Africa .and enjoying all your videos
Will really consider .buying an instant pot . Best wishes
I'd add some white wine to that dreamy chicken 😘
Have to try the chicken alfredo. I went back through the video and wrote down the recipe as you were
making it. Thanks for the ideas!
I really need to use my instant pot more often. Thanks for the dinner ideas.
I make a lemon zucchini bread with a lemon glaze. 😋 I got the recipe of of Pinterest.
I purchased a red and blue gasket for cooking chicken and beef. I also wash them in the dishwasher and let them sit outside in the sun for a few hours to get rid of the smell of what I cooked.
Yes outside really helps get rid of the smell
That's why I gave my instapot away. I couldn't stand the smell of the gaskets. Even when I thought I had the smell out, it came back out when I'd cook something else. Yuck.
@@faithk_integrityandintentionI only use mine for savory foods. I bought a small one to make yogurt but haven't yet. Lol
@@donnastratton8397 Yeah. I just wasn't too thrilled when a light chicken dish I was making came out smelling like carnitas that had been made 3 months before. Nope.
@@faithk_integrityandintentionI bet if you soaked it in vinegar water or water with baking soda in it, it would take the smell/taste out.
You popped up on my feed today and I enjoyed seeing all that you made in the Instant Pot. I have one and it just sits in a cabinet so I will take a look at that book.
Totally love my instant pot!
Becky-You should watch Six Sisters Stuff. They have A LOT of Instant pot recipes on UA-cam. They also have a cookbook.
@Becky, you have inspired me to re-visit my instant pot. I think I’ve only used a a handful of times. I have ordered the cookbook because I like the look of the recipes you made as well as the ones you mentioned at the end of this video. Thank you for sharing! 😊❤
LOVED this video!! I'm always looking for new recipes and more ways to use my instant pot. Plus, I just always love watching you cook! ❤️
Thank you for sharing!
Put 1/2 tsp of baking soda to brown and tenderize the ground beef, also pound down the pasta so its.under the liquid.
