As the author of the book you cooked these five recipes from (my name is Jeffrey Eisner), I'm so glad and honored you tried FIVE of my recipes! You did a GREAT job! It's always an honor to have someone use your recipes as a blueprint and then put their own twists on it to make it their own. As for the Thai Basil Fried Rice, I wouldn't have suggested regular basil as that's definitely a more Italian/Mediterranean flavor, but rather fresh tarragon leaves as mentioned in the book - they give a similar flavor to Thai basil with that anise touch which isn't as easy to find. Again, great job!
Becky…I just want to give a personal thank you to you and your channel. I used to cook, bake and even garden a little all the time until a few years ago when I ran into some health problems and couldn’t do those things. I got out of the habit of scratch cooking and the joy it brings. I recently started watching your videos and they have sparked my love of all those things again. Hi Becky, the fried rice recipe calls for Thai basil which has a different flavor profile than Italian. You should try it and maybe grow some next year. It really took off for me & I LOVE the flavor!
I recommend growing Thai basil and Holy basil. Thai basil has a mild licorice taste. Holy basil (tulsi) is also used medicinally, and adds a spicy basil flavor.
Becky. My grandma always made me a bunch of her veggie soup before she would go to Florida for the winter. I recently made it in the instant pot and it was soooo easy. Cook a roast in the instant pot for about an hour on manual with just a few cups of water or broth and salt and pepper. When that finishes pull out the roast and put in 2 to 4 diced potatoes, a diced onion, 3 diced carrots, 1 to 2 can of diced tomatoes, can of peas, 2 cans green beans and a can of corn (I leave all the juice from the veggies. For those who do not have an instant pot and are older, use your pressure cooker instead. :) I did not want to miss these delicious recipes she makes, but have the old "instant pot", the pressure cooker. Love these recipes! The chicken and dumplings look amazing!
Throw a towel over the lid when you do a manual pressure release. It prevents you from potentially burning yourself and it keeps the steam/water from going everywhere.
I always add tiny frozen peas to my chicken & dumplings. Just right after you turn the heat off toss in the peas stir & serve. Gives you your veggies. I also add bell peppers.
In regards to the soups, when I make soups like this I make the whole recipe or double batch and then put the leftovers in single serving freezer safe containers. Then you can have soup for a quick lunch or dinner! I love these in the winter time.
I purchased the cookbook after watching your video! I’ve had my instant pot for years and have a number of cookbooks for it but this one is top notch!!! Made beef and barley soup the other day which was fantastic but tonight I made the sausage and shells. Good golly it’s absolutely delicious 😋- we added some red pepper flakes at the end and enjoyed this with crusty Italian bread. Love your channel and enjoy finding new recipes to try.
Thanks for posting this video! I made a “half asleep during nap time” prime day purchase of this cookbook and an instant pot (finally) because of this video LOL 🤦♀️🤣
A quick hint - when you are using the saute function, you can stabilize the inner pot by clipping it to the outer pot with a binder clip. Saves you from burning your fingers! These recipes look fabulous - I have ordered my copy of the cookbook!
FYI. You can roll the dumplings out with a little more flour and leave the extra flour on them when you put them in the pot. It will thicken the the gravy without having to use cornstarch.
Great video! I’ve requested this book from the library to look through to see if it has enough recipes I like before I order it. I love my Instant pots - as long as I’m already in the kitchen, I like to do several things at the same time. A tip my daughter shared with me is to toss a dish towel over the top when doing a quick release, it muffles the sound and reduces the steaminess in an already hot kitchen.
Becky, I have a suggestion for you: If you're going to divide a recipe for double or triple it, it would be well worth it for you to write (or type up) those measurements before you start cooking. You'd only have to do the math and note the amounts once, and then you would be able to ensure that you're not miscalculating things on the fly. Easier to duplicate it if you want to prepare the dish again without having to try to remember what you did, as well as make any modifications you want.
Becky, you have convinced me that I need to dust off my Instant Pot and use it more! All of those recipes look delicious! Thank you (and Josh) for rating them.
Becky you truly are send from heaven ,I got a instant pot bought for me from my children two xmases ago and have been weary of using it but wanted to very badly but was nervous ,so I got both books that you have mentioned and I love this ,step by step book as it has great explanations! Thanks to you I can learn from this and feel confident ! Thank you!!!
I just bought the IP Pro Crisp + Air Fryer which is my very first IP. It did not come with any cookbook, and I wanted to start cooking right away so I began searching for Spaghetti Carbonara and it brought me to your video. We cooked it tonight and were so happy with the results. I have subscribed to your channel and will be looking forward to learning more from you. Thank you!
Becky, his beef stroganoff is the closest to my chef grandfathers recipe I’ve ever found!! We’ve freeze dried many batches and the whole family LOVES it!!
I always enjoy watching you cook. I however, do not have the passion for it like you do, I wish I did but I don’t. The beautiful dishes you create although they look delicious, aren’t usually something I’d do because they’re just more involved then I want to commit too. HOWEVER, you have been rocking the quick meal ideas! These are recipes I feel like I can wrap my brain around and have a meal on the table that my husband will appreciate and I didn’t spend huge amounts of time preparing. Maybe one day I’ll be better in the kitchen (doubtful, I’m a grammy) but for now I’ll just live vicariously through you, and I’ll jump in on the wonderful ideas that better suit my time, skill and desire. You’re an amazing young lady who offers encouragement and inspiration to all ages. Thank you.
Hey kiddo! I have enjoyed so many of your videos on a variety of subjects…you are one of my go-to’s…I have also watched most of Jeffery Eisner’s videos on Instant Pot Cooking from his channel “Pressure Luck Cooking” … I have all of his cookbooks and the one you are using is his best one!! This cookbook is just like talking to him…🥰anyone that can help us be better at anything is a hero in my life so thank you!!! And that you have time for us in your busy life is unbelievable!!!
Coming back to say I ordered this cookbook and so far, I've made the pork ribs, butternut squash risotto and the sausage and spinach soup; the ribs were good, but the risotto and the soup were amazing! The risotto made a huge amount, just fyi. The soup was so good though and I already bought the ingredients to make it again this week; it's enough to share with my brother who had surgery last week and a friend who suffered a great loss last week. Thanks for this great video and resource Becky!
I don’t know if you like yogurt, but I love Greek yogurt and making it in the instant pot is soooo easy! I just strain it overnight and it gets super thick, almost like cream cheese!
I make yogurt every week with my IP…it’s so easy and the kids love it! After I let it drain overnight to make it thick I use my immersion blender to get it nice and creamy
Never miss a video. I grew up around farming and my dads a farmer so it warms my heart to learn from the both of you and eventeach my dad a thing or 2 that YOU'VE taught me. Made me want to get into growing my own food. Lots of love from across the pond to you, baby Acre and the lovely Josh. Thank you for all you do for us! ❤
So glad you used this cookbook. I enjoy watching him cook and purchased this book as a result. But admittedly, I have not cooked a single recipe from it. I WILL now! I even bought boursin cheese to do so. I will check date, hopefully it's still good. Thank you!! We always appreciate Josh's input!

When you cook pasta in the instant pot it will be liquidy at first but after a few minutes the pasta absorbs the liquid. I make spaghetti in there all the time.
When I've seen recipes that have the dumplings rolled out and cut like that they call it chicken n slicks in the south. These recipes look great! I feel like I need that cookbook!
I was at our cabin following a recipe for my new to me instant pot AND Thank goodness I had previous seen this video cause the recipe I was following was not good but it turned out to be the perfect base for the spaghetti carbonara sans bacon. So all I did was add the pasta, added another 8 minutes, and poured some cream presto change-o it went from epic fail to winner winner chicken dinner. Thanks so much
I have Jeffrey Eisner's first cookbook too- he does such a great job! Thank you so much for showing how you cooked these recipes.. I have cooked a few from his cookbook too and they were delicious! I am constantly looking for instant pot video recipes and I really appreciate your method - cooking from a cookbook and how you altered it based on what you had available or your taste preferences- thank you!
I like that you showed details. I've had an insta pot for a bit, and after I burnt rice I put it away. Never to be seen again!! Might be time to dig it out again and try one more time.
I have a brand new instapot I've had for nearly 7 or 8 years and never used it. Until now because I'm going to purchase that book right now and bring out my instapot and start using it as sin as the book arrives. Thank you so much for making these videos for us all. The instapot had always intimated me is why I've never used it. Now that I pressure can I don't think the instapot will be so intimidating anymore. Wish me luck anyways!❤
Hi Becky! Jeffrey's cookbooks are great. I wish all were set up like them. Also, don't forget that the Instant Pot has 3 different saute temp settings. Low/Med/High. I normally use High
Thank you for putting out this video and spot lighting this cookbook. I just got mine yesterday! I have several Instant Pot cookbooks, and this one is the best by far.
I saved this video into my recipes videos! I’m so excited to try these recipes, especially the fried rice. I have a rice cooker with a sauté setting, so many of these can be done in a rice cooker also with advanced settings 🎉❤
My favorite easy-peasy drop dumpling is to put a cup of flour in a bowl and mix in one egg with my fingers until I have a crumbly combined mixture somewhat like cooked sausage crumbles in texture sitting in some extra flour. They are kinda like spaetzle. So you take the crumbles out of the flour and drop them into the finished pot of soup and simmer about 15 in. They will thicken the soup as well.
I’m so glad I found you because I really like your cooking videos. I have a instant pot and haven’t really used it for lack of knowledge. I just bought the cookbook just now. I live in LaPorte Texas and it’s so hot that growing vegetables is a little hard. It’s just barely cooling off now. Thanks for all your videos. Blessings ❤ Nidya
Loved this one Becky!!! And you're so right about the boursan cheese, i love it. I have the ninja 7 in 1 so will definitely be trying some of these recipes ❤
I have an instant pot that I have not learned to use yet so this is the perfect video at the perfect time. I bought an air fryer in the same sale so I shall live in hope that you get one of those too. 😊❤ Thankyou Becky
Hi Becky! You have introduced me to the world of Instant Pot ~ so I ordered one, along with this book and another one! I really love the idea of the 30-minute meals and the non fussiness of it all. Thank you and keep on doing what you do!
Thank you for showing this book and step by step recipes. My friend gave me an instant pot but I've been afraid to use it. Watching you has helped me know I can do it. I just received the cookbook. Now I just have to start. You've helped me have courage. Thanks again!
I love this video! I have had an Instant Pot for about 4 years and I haven't even cooked rice in it! Now maybe I will be brave enough to try one of these recipes! Thank you!
I have all of Jeffrey's books.....the recipes i have tried have all been amazing. Becky I love your channel you have inspired me to start canning and making freezer meals, so thank you.
I just made the chicken dumpling soup - wow, so good! Thank you for inviting us to your kitchen and showing us how to make it. It’s on my favorites list ❤
Jeffrey Eisner is amazing! Thank you for spotlighting his recipes. Another great one to try is his sausage & spinach soup (Zuppa Toscana) which is on his site. Sometimes, I will use gnocchi in place of potatoes, however, add them after you pressure cook the soup & cook for 2-3 minutes. Gnocchi doesn't take long to cook. Then follow with adding the boursin (or cream cheese) & the cream or half & half. Delish! Thank you, Becky! Will give some of these a try! I have made 2 of the 5 previously. Sooooo good! 😊❤
I have all his books and ordered the new one that will be out, I believe, in September. I saw you had the book on a shelf, so I'm glad you now have tried it. There are so many good recipes. Well, they are all good.
Oh my goodness. I just made your chicken and dumplings recipe for myself and my husband for dinner. So, so, so yummy. I love your videos. I never made my dumplings like that before. I love them. I kept the full dumpling recipe and made the half of the soup. It really works. The question is how does it store? Can I freeze it?
I love your videos, Becky! One idea - would it make sense to split these longer videos with multiple recipes into several shorter videos? I think it would be easier for viewers to search for specific recipe videos later, and it might make your life easier by having five videos from all this work instead of one.
Becky, you may want to get some of the Instant Pot hot mits. They're great when you need to remove items from the pot or stir items because they allow you to hold the pot steady.
Everything looks delicious! FYI: I use a large binder clip to secure the inner pot to the base so that while I stir my pot isn't running all over the place.Of course I remove the clip when I place the lid on, Thanks for sharing all these wonderful meals. I have really been enjoying your channel.
Thanks for running through these recipes. i LOVE Jeffrey's books! The sausage and shells is one of our absolute flavors! I haven't tried any of the other ones you showed but I am absolutely going to try the chicken and dumplings and the bean soup. Thanks Becky!
Becky, I got so excited to see you holding Jeff's first cookbook. I've got them all, and I don't think there's one recipe I've tried and didn't like. My favourite one isn't in this cookbook (it's in a different one) but you can find it on his website, and it's his Chicken Fajita Pasta. I salivate just thinking about this recipe. You and Josh need to try it! There's a YT vid for it, too!
Becky, I have lots of food allergies & would love the recipe for your homemade Plum sauce. Thank you! Ordered the cookbook as it will really help me to use it¬ be so fearful of it. I really like that the recipes are steps&have pictures! I don't comment but truly enjoy your recipes&videos! Thanks again!
Becky, so glad you found Jeff's fantastic cookbook. When I purchased my IP a few years ago I also bought his 1st cookbook. It totally gave me confidence to use the IP. Here on the East coast, specifically in the Delmarva area, those are known as slippery dumplings. Our volunteer fire companies have fund raiser dinners every Fall that only sell chicken and these dumplings.
Becky, My family calls that dish "Pot Pie" which most people use that term for meat pies. When the dumplings have more flour on them, no slurry needed. You are great as usual. Thanks.
Jeff’s recipes (and videos) are my all time favorite IP recipes - never have had a fail! I think my favorite is the beef stroganoff - it uses the Boursin also, he has a recipe for homemade Boursin that’s really good. Glad you discovered him, and shared! God bless
Love your videos. My family newly follows the Levitical diet from the bible so no pork and shrimp but I'll definitely be making the chicken and dumplings !
I also follow a Levitical diet and just wanted to say you can sub turkey bacon or beef bacon when a recipe calls for pork bacon. If a recipe calls for sausage I’ll sub ground beef or turkey or if it calls for smoked sausage I’ll sub smoked beef sausage or smoked turkey sausage. Hope this helps!

And they’re amazing. My fave is the Minestrone Soup recipe! When my youngest daughter was learning to talk, she called it Mr. Zirone soup! ❤😂. That is what I call it to this day! Back when she was younger, it was the name brand condensed version that she loved! A couple of years ago, I got that cookbook and made the fresh version…which she loved more than the nostalgic condensed version! ❤️❤️❤️ So many recipes that are amazing! Yep, I get the issue picking a top five! ❤❤❤❤❤
I ordered my copy as soon as I finished watching you. Between this one & the crockpot book I should have some great recipes to take me through this winter.

I've never made my rice a day in advance when I want fried rice. And it always has great texture and flavour.
I'll try! Tks!😅
Easier to duplicate it if you want to prepare the dish again without having to try to remember what you did, as well as make any modifications you want.
fyi that's multiplying a recipe; dividing is doing half a recipe. and this is good advice. my recipe book back home had lots of notes in it lol.
I made the bacon carbonara last night! So good! It’s one of mine and my husband’s favorite now! I love watching your videos
Becky, you have convinced me that I need to dust off my Instant Pot and use it more! All of those recipes look delicious! Thank you (and Josh) for rating them.
Well. At least when I get behind on your videos I have extra to watch when I do! 💚💚💚
I make yogurt every weekend for the week's breakfast. I love it! Plus, I use Becky's homemade Maple Granola recipe and it's so good!
I make yoghurt in my slow cooker, it’s delicious. I recently used kefir natural yoghurt and it was thicker and even tastier ❤
Becky, there is a great IP clip that keeps the pot for swiveling around when stirring. It’s awesome!!
Yeah, Becky. Almost 500,000 subscribers. You deserve it. I have a file folder for BECKY'S Recipes only. You go, girl! You're awesome, personable & attractive. Josh too I love you guys! Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister
Aw thank you so very much! You all here are such a blessing to my family :)
Same here, her videos are the best!!! ❤❤❤
Amazing video
I love cooking with the instapot, quick, simple , and one pot and lots of flavor😊
Hi Becky! Jeffrey's cookbooks are great. I wish all were set up like them. Also, don't forget that the Instant Pot has 3 different saute temp settings. Low/Med/High. I normally use High
With your 1st dish, the carbonarra you schould try it with peas. It's extra good + adds a lil color..
Thank you for putting out this video and spot lighting this cookbook. I just got mine yesterday! I have several Instant Pot cookbooks, and this one is the best by far.
That is the best cookbook I have ever bought. I love Jeffrey and his UTube videos (it's called "Pressure Luck"). You will love his recipes.
Here in the South we do not put the dumplings in until you have a rolling boil as it makes the dumplings puff up more.
That’s my favorite instant pot cookbook. You MUST try his blue ribbon chili recipe. It’s amazing.
Happy Monday
I hope you have a wonderful week!
@@AcreHomestead
Thank you Becky x
I saved this video into my recipes videos! I’m so excited to try these recipes, especially the fried rice. I have a rice cooker with a sauté setting, so many of these can be done in a rice cooker also with advanced settings 🎉❤
Becky, SSsssoooo pleased to se you using the Danish dough hook - it works so much better than a wisk for items like this.
The instant pot is such a helpful tool in the kitchen! Instant pot ribs are one of my favorites.
Becky I have that book. You should try the honey bourbon chicken. It's delicious and easy!
❤
You can put a dish towel over the steamer when you release. It's a little easier/cleaner!
Hope you enjoy
I LOVE THAT COOKBOOK! My favorite recipe are the Sausage & Kale soup & the pot roast! Honestly, all the recipes are amazing ! 🥰
I'll need to try it!
@@AcreHomestead I totally agree with @BrunaCheski, but you could also add kale to that smokey sausage and bean soup
If u have a large office clip. clip it to the side of instant pot to stop the pot from moving around as u stir the ingredients
You've inspired me, as soon as the video ended I ordered an instant pot and cookbook😊
They all looked delicious i would find it hard to pick a favourite.
I love Jeffrey! He visited Dallas and I got to meet him this year. He is so much fun to watch.
I've made all the recipes you made & yes they are all delish. I use my IP all the time & I love it. I have his other cookbooks too. Enjoy! Be well.
Your cookbook is by Jeff and he has a UA-cam channel called Pressure Luck where he posts making his recipes step-by-step. Jeff is actually got four cookbooks out. Watch some of his videos you'll love them.😋
I was just thinking I haven’t used my instapot in ages. Need to! And bam! A new Becky video!
Here on the East coast, specifically in the Delmarva area, those are known as slippery dumplings. Our volunteer fire companies have fund raiser dinners every Fall that only sell chicken and these dumplings.
Yummy ! Love my instant pot, thinking about buying another one for batch cooking ! Thank you for sharing all of these recipes with us ! ❤
Congrats for walking in the Torah 😊
I also follow a Levitical diet and just wanted to say you can sub turkey bacon or beef bacon when a recipe calls for pork bacon. If a recipe calls for sausage I’ll sub ground beef or turkey or if it calls for smoked sausage I’ll sub smoked beef sausage or smoked turkey sausage. Hope this helps!
@@setapart6937 thank you! We are learning! It's been a bigger change than I expected.
@@psalm1047 we still have a lot to learn. Thank you!

I have had a Tefal Cook4Me pressure cooker for years, actually have had three different models. Earlier this year while shopping in Costco, Instant Pot was on a very good special so I purchased one. I was disappointed at first as no recipes included with the pot. But I have now purchased a few cookbooks and I must say Instant Pot is my favourite cooking appliance apart from my air fryer in my kitchen. Becky I have downloaded the cookbook on my Kindle look forward to trying some recipes.
Loved all the recipes you made!!! Thank you so much for the video! ❤
I HAVE WATCHED YOUR CHANNEL, FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND I LOVE ❤️ ALOT OF YOUR CONTENT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 👍 WISHING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE VERY BEST, PEACE AND PEACE WITH BLESSINGS 🙏 ❤
That IP cookbook, has been a staple in. Y household for a couple of years! I have my daughters a spiral bound version for Christmas 2 years ago. Jeffrey has at least two more IP cookbooks!
So many recipes that are amazing! Yep, I get the issue picking a top five! ❤❤❤❤❤
I ordered my copy as soon as I finished watching you. Between this one & the crockpot book I should have some great recipes to take me through this winter.
Hello Becky, I love your videos. I have a suggestion, 1} use a damp towel under your cutting board to keep them from moving around while cutting on them, 2} place a towel over the top of your instant pot when manual releasing the pressure. Chicken Dumplings are my family favorite winter soup, I never thought about doing it in the Instant pot. I will be trying that very soon.
I really like the you substitute different ingredients for your own taste or what you have on hand. I always look at a recipe as a suggestion.
