@@eyedesyn It's not bad at all, tbh. For single images, the progressive render view gets great results even with Post FX and Denoising. Once I learn more about optimizing my scenes better for RS I'm sure that will improve even more. I've just got the M1 Pro MacBook so if the M1 Max and M1 Ultra get even faster results then I'll be very happy.
Hello, I was considering Octane and finally went with Redshift : what in your experience made you switch from O to RS ? They seem soo similar it's hard to know without trying both! I'm planning motion renders, not stills. Thx in advance.
@@Gasconauxolives Hey, I just had a project built around glass dispersions - and I think on that front, somehow RS is more aesthetic, that's all. However, I feel Octane is more optimized; I get faster results and render times. Probably I just more convenient with Octane. It would be interesting to see content on how to optimize render view with RS.
Until now, Octane was my favorite weapon of choice ;) But thank you very much for that intro - it helped me a lot to figure out first steps in redshift, as it's the default render since cinema version 2024... Let's see how this works and if it's a real option :)
Thanks for such an amazing tutorial. Is there a way to blur the hdri in the dome light within the settings. I couldn't find any settings to do that. I just want to create a soft reflections and lighting from the hdri I have without using external softwares.
Thanks for this. Why are some of the planks black already at the start of the tut and before you create your first material (orange)? How was that black colour applied? I personally think you go very fast and click things without explaining the way an "intro" or "beginners" tut should be explained but most comments are positive so I guess it works. I will try to follow. Thanks again
i think the Planks are black thanks to the Fracture object. In the object manager select the Planks (fracture object) and in the Transform tab you can change the basic object colour
From the Redshift Menu -> Create a new Material (Choose the one that is below the 'Standard') Then you will see the preset setting at the top of the settings field)
Always used Corona as my main renderer, got interested in redshift when it was bought by Maxon. However, don’t understand why C4D materials don’t work with redshift or look like assigned materials in the viewport. Still feels pretty much like a 3rd party renderer and not that integrated. Right now I can’t get results as quick and easy as I get them with Corona and RT doesn’t even work on a Mac!
Seems outdated now, they moved to node editor and a number of settings you identify no longer look the same, there is no preset in the new node editor, nor are there LUT's available to choose in post effects in the renderer, any help to provide to ease this issue would be appreciated! Thanks for the tutorial!

Thanks for the support Samo!
Moving from Octane to Redshift after 3 years, really helpful tutorial.
A couple other people can testify this people are the best in the game with fruitful efforts every time.
yay Jesus excited to see you here
Gotta get you on here Roj! :)

Your scores are so on-point and eargasmic. Way to go!
Just started using Redshift on my Mac M1 and I’m loving it. Thanks for this!
Amazing! How’s the speed??

Same here. Got an M1 Max Apple Studio. Getting my head around best workflow approaches but loving the speed of the new Mac.
Came from Octane - that video basically taught me everything I need to switch, thanks a lot!

at around 5:36 he says just grab a glass present but in the latest version of c4d and redshift i'm using... no options for presets anywhere!?!
Since the update, to use the presets you need to create a RS "material", instead of an RS "standard" material.
Thank you for this amazing tutorial
Great Tutorial Jesus, thanks for the awesome tips ❤️
Thanks a lot for the kind words!
Thank you for this! Super cool video! A+++
Amazing tutorial Sir!!!
Thanks for watching!

Great video! thanks for all the information. Really nice to see how a great 3D artist work!

Very good tutorial! thanks a lot. Just moving from Arnold to Redshift and these are priceless tips. keep them coming. 👍🙏
Considering moving from Arnold to RS too. On what did you base your decision?
thanks, it actually let me through so i could download it.
OMG, it really worked. Thank you so much!!
Muy bien explicado!!!! Gracias
amazing tutorial. I have used corona render quite extensively, but this its nice to see this for its ease of use.

Yoooo Aleksey thanks for checking out!
Thank you so much. This video was super helpful in introducing Redshift to me :))
it is very like Arnol in concept, but it is much simpler. thanks

Hey this was great. Any idea how to select a preset in the latest redshift? The dropdown is missing under Base Properties. Cheers

RT rendered weird and then crashed my C4D with a brand new RTX build and up to date drivers so I guess you don't miss much ;
does proxy supports motion blur ?
bro i am not getting any tracks into my soft how is that possible
Hi the download link for the project file doesn't work, I've entered my email multiple times but I'm not getting any email.
My dream come true
Anyone know what happened to the material presets in the most recent version?
SNice tutorialt, it's the nice tuto
I want to know how to record and master my own ?
I dont have the photographic exposure tab in my redshift does anyone know why not?
Great as always! Please do more lessons with new NODE EDITOR - without u, we are all stuck in old editor

Hello, do you know how to use Redshift in Blender?
Pretty sure RS for Blender would work the same exact way!
Why would you use Redshift in blender??

Hey Thomas, there is still a preset menu. Just make sure that you generate a redshift material not a standard material. Hope that helps.
