Hey Ed, thanks for your videos, they keep me motivated to keep fighting against the animal exploitation propaganda. Never stop, you are a great supporter of the movement!
Yes, we do care about bees. Why do you think many vegans consider honey to be non-vegan? Because of the cruelty to the bees. Also, we do care about the mice and rats. Why do you think many of us would only use humane and non-lethal methods to deal with them? Because we do care about all the sentient animals. We don’t think that an innocent, sentient creature should be killed just for being in the wrong place, or just for being of the wrong species and carrying diseases and causing issues for us (something which they can’t help/don’t even know they are causing issues for us, and don’t mean to cause issues for us). Veganism is not a bloodless dirt - it is just about avoiding intentional, unnecessary animal cruelty, killing and exploitation as far as possible and practicable.
Yea it's amazing how extreme or caring vegans can be . Most likely the only ones to think about any sentient being. No idea why ppl try to bring down vegans.
The worst thing about being vegan is constantly hearing such tiring arguments. Even when people KNOW they are wrong, they continue to say these ridiculous things, repeatedly. I used to think "but lions eat meat" was a circlejerk joke, but people really do say that.

As Googled: "The word sausage, from the Latin salsus (“salted”), refers to a food-processing method that had been used for centuries. Various forms of sausages were known in ancient Babylonia, Greece, and Rome, and early North American Indians made pemmican, a compressed dried meat-and-berry cake." Piers, you should do some research before declaring exclusivity over the definition of sausage!!!
This isn't said enough. Sausages and patties and such are a way of storing and presenting certain foods. Pigs aren't literally made up of Tesco Value sausages.
Piers' arguments were so cringe. It's so evident and pathetic that his masculinity and fragile ego is so deeply rooted into the consumption of meat. Imagine being that fragile that your masculinity and ego are deeply wounded from the existence of plant based products.
how about all the animals you kill?? How bout all the vegans who are admitted to hospitals?? How bout all the people who quit veganism as they know that it's very bad for their health?
Meat eaters getting all riled up when a vegan product uses the same language really irritates me. The arguments they use are irrational. No true logic involved. They like to use arguments like, "we've always done it" and "our ancestors did it for thousands of years". While in one of the oldest books in the world, the Bible, the word meat just refers to food. When they're talking about animal products, it's referred to as flesh not meat. So the people were eating meat and flesh. I'm also tired of hearing about how bad vegans are because of soy or almonds or avocados, etc. When the reality is that none of those are eaten primarily by vegans. There are a lot more non-vegans than vegans so there is no way that vegans are consuming the lion's share of any crop on Earth.
Oh please, what a phony. I'm sure he thought the vegan sausage roll was that bad that he felt it necessary to spit it out on live television. How childish and disgusting. He's a poor excuse for a man. The saddest part is that animals suffer and die to feed his fat neck. Thank you Earthling Ed for all that you do!
Piers is so smart. Because vegans totally claim their "vegan sausages" aren't vegan when it literally says "vegan sausage", not "pork sausage" Stay mad Piers while you're crying, trying and dying while veganism is thriving.
“Let me know what you think of Piers’ arguments.” Ed being generous as usual. I don’t think sticking your face in the rubbish bin and dramatically groaning “AAAUUGGHH!!!!” qualifies as an “argument” in the usual sense.
Hi, I'm a boomer. You may remember me from such greats as "people are too damn sensitive these days", but now I'm back to get unnecessarily outraged by a vegan sausage roll I saw that I was never required to purchase.
It’s maddening to hear someone with such little disregard for his choices berate and criticize those who are trying to actively be better for the planet. He seems to be such an elitist in the sense of feeling entitlement to behave how he does as though his choices have no consequences. I doubt he is mentally capable of breaking 10,000+ years of conditioning and it shows in the way he seems to whine about something that no one cares to hear him whine about. 🙄
i wonder how many vegans 'doing their bit for the planet' drive 4 x 4's, holiday abroad, own two or more homes, have pensions linked to banks, petrochemical companies, tobacco companies and even companies linked to animal testing?
I’m so happy you addressed this Ed! Listened to that podcast just this morning on my way to work. I was boiling. He’s such an annoying individual. If he actually cared about ‘vegan hypocrisy’ he would’ve looked into it enough to realise that non vegans consume more almonds and avocados than vegans and that bees pollinate a primary food source for dairy cows. He’s just dreadful
the only reason that meat eaters eat more almonds and avacodoes than vegans do is because there are more of us. If you average it out, it's common sense that vegans eat more
@@bobbysmods1288 In absolutes, sure. But i'm not sure the percentages also hold up. Do you know howmuch avocado is consumed with the super bowl alone, and that are non vegans. Personally i think if i eat 6 avocados a year, it's a lot for me, as vegan, because i know how damaging they are, same for almonds (not 6 a year obviously).
What’s really annoying about piers’ stupid arguments is that you know tons of people hear them and go, yeah! So right! You tell those annoying vegans! Frankly, I probably would have fallen for it myself before I went vegan. It’s pretty humbling
And the people that follow/like Piers are the conservative type who would never ever look at the other side of the argument and therefore remain uneducated and ignorant forever.
What is he even doing on the diary of a CEO? Must say I'm really disappointed in Steven Bartlett inviting him, and laughing at the nonsense coming out of his mouth like we've not all heard that crap a million times before.
Steven Bartlett continues to platform the worst people in popular culture. So much so, I'd argue he's one of them. Not challenging him (despite profiting from continues like Huel) shows the shadiness of the guy.

This! I'm getting up there in my late 40's and when I hear bores like Piers so I know who I NEVER want to be. It motivates me to listen to younger people and new ideas to stay mindful and just be kind.
Keep in mind, Morgan isn’t old, he’s like 57, he just looks like he’s old, and he’s been spouting nonsense for years. But yes, to your point, don’t be the person who can’t adapt or change.
I'm not gonna lie, I was definitely in the camp that respected Piers. I didn't always agree with his points, but I admired his bravery in expressing himself honestly and proudly. Or so I thought. This video makes it very clear to me the sort of shady, slimey and dishonest person Piers really is. You simply can't trust someone who dislikes the Gregg's vegan sausage roll. Lol.
Yeah this is how Piers and his ilk are around every topic, which is why many find him to be the opposite of brave, honest, or proud of his beliefs. Glad people are able to see that now. People weren't disgusted by him because they were just sensitive triggered wokescolds and he was saying opinions they didn't like, they were upset because he insists on making a fool of himself using points that don't even make sense to represent positions he doesn't even hold sincerely himself for clicks and views.
@@mattbastard1294 I don't think so, he challenges people, even when that can put him in a bad light. It is encouraging in a world where we are almost bullied into complying with the word of the day. However, I see that he does it more for attention rather than principle
He is actually laughable! I thought his comments would upset me but they are so stupid that it's actually funny. Imagine being a grown man upset about a sausage roll! As always, great response Ed. Your cool, calm and collected approach is inspirational.

And you can have basically anything reduced to flour and put in sausages. Does he think it’s always made of prime meat by any chance? He has no idea, just like anyone, what’s inside a sausage; we just trust the label.
Ed, your ability to deconstruct all of the points made by Piers and clearly conduct a beautiful analysis. Your knowledge and nature are incredibly comforting despite such a touchy topic of debate. We need to amplify your voice even further. Been a supporter for a couple of years now, and have been vegan for 5 years now thanks to your content. I have also helped many friends and family to transition to a vegan lifestyle. Love everything you're about Ed.
Excellent video as usual! Just want to throw in a quick correction at @6:20 when you are referring to honeybees. The bees used for pollination are indeed honeybees, but more often they are managed in a way as to keep honey production to a minimum. The pollination industry and honey industry often overlap, but pollination is definitely not a side hustle of the honey industry. (I used to be a hobbyist beekeeper) Keep up the great work! Max
Oh Ed, my continued admiration for your incredible patience to speak with such calm logic addressing the old usual Piers ineptitudes on the subject. Much smarter ppl than him end up looking like fools when attempting to make arguments against being vegan 🙄
The whole wordplay is so daft. Meat eaters like Piers will complain of vegan sausage saying ‘sausage is made of pork blah blah blah’ but miraculously forget that chicken sausage exists. It’s the shape, it’s a sausage shape same as burgers 🤦♀️
he also miraculously forgets that “sausage” is also a slang for a certain male body part you’re right that the word indicates a shape and not about what it’s made of
Meh being a meat Eater i don't care for wording and will also try the vegan alternative if it'd better why not. Local bakery does vegan sausage rolls and they taste better than meat ones by a long shot.
They missed a trick on Good Morning Britain when they gave Piers the Greggs vegan sausage roll to try. They should of gave him a normal one but told him it was the vegan one ‘cause he was gonna spit it out regardless. That would of highlighted his ignorance.
ive done that to 3 vegans who claimed vegan burgers were better than meat ones (meat ones tasted awful apparently).......they enjoyed the meat ones, thinking they were vegan burgers. works both ways

@Shep Raynham Gordan Ramsay gave meat pizzas to vegetarians once, it was hilarious and some said it was the best vegetarian pizza they have ever had. If you ask for vegan options he kicks you out of the restaurant.
Morgan doesn't know what he's talking about. The word 'sausage' comes from salt because salt was used as a seasoning in the animal flesh that was stuffed into skins. 'Meat' originally meant any food. 'Milk' comes from a word that means to stroke, to wipe, to rub - the actions that cause the udder to release its liquid. 'Cheese' originally meant something fermented or soured - sauerkraut could therefore be called cheese. 'Steak' refers to the stick or the stake, on which food was impaled so it could be cooked over a fire. ''Dairy' comes from a word that refers to the building or room where bread was made - although that word's etymology is not quite so clear. These words do not refer solely to animal products. And we do care about the little animals, which is why we don't eat honey or use silk.
I made a similar comment, before seeing this one. I didn't write as much info as did you, but yes to all. This is what I keep wishing that the lawyers would key into during these legislative actions. I keep wondering why they do not bring up disparateness of the animal ag industries claim to real meaning and the real meaning of the word co-opted by the animal ag industry.

not too long ago I took part in a discussion were the bees deaths were compared to the crop deaths for the production of most plants and the calculation pretty much ended up with the conclusion that in the worst case, there are 6% more insects (bees) dying due to the production of almond in comparison to the death crops from other plant products
Can you explain why bees are dying? I don’t understand. Are they doing something different pollinating almonds that they wouldn’t do pollinating other plants?

The shea butter I put on my toast was also awful… It’s just so hard to navigate the grocery store these days with all these confusing labels! 🙄
I just recently learned that all the bees we see flying around pollinating are the old ones that used to work in their beehive and at a certain age change from worker bees to pollinater bees. Because they’re old and at the end stages of their Live span they get to fly out from flower to flower, from fields to any place with flowers until they one day just die on their pollinating journey. So it’s not like bee colonies die mostly from chemicals on fields unless their hive gets sprayed which is nowadays unlikely because most bees are honey bees that have their hive on land that’s owned by honey farms which are not located near Agrar cultured fields where pesticides are sprayed.

@ThuleanPerspective Archive It was actually food poisoning from his diet. He wanted to be trendy and claim it was the "Covid" bogeyman.
