Not a long term career, their eyesight will be gone within a couple of years, as a professional welder myself, I have had what's known as arckeye where the intense ultraviolet light from the arc burns the retina, that's just from small accidental exposure, these guys are exposing themselves to it all day every day, total madness
arckeye is the fucking worst!!! ... A simple thing like proper rated safety goggles can avoid the pain.... I reckon they close their eyes when tacking, but still! lol
These workers have balls of steel for working with no eye nor hearing protection.....!!! Unfortunately their health will pay for that in a couple of years....!!! Hats off for all these Chinese workers seen in this video...!!!
Holy s***. I welded a bit in high school and had huge shield with black eye filters that you could not see a thing through. And these guys are raw-dogging it like that. Damn.
Bruh... I kept expecting one of those polishers to be taken out by ricoche steel sphere going Mach 1 RPM!! Besides them, what holds those spheres in place while being polished?? Also, 1800's ice blocking to fill ship containers??.. Then to sum it all up, a hand cart designed for an emporer but fueled by a clog 2 motor?? And meant for the public? For no pay... I must say though, I wish I had a fraction of the joy and pride that hand cart girl had for her work. She's a GOAT in her line of duty for sure!

That's how the work get's done. The guy cutting with plasma without any eye protection will regreat it unless he is like my grandmother who's sugar intake would kill me in 1 year but she is fine at 93, adding 3 spoons of sugar to 7 tea's a day, in between she is drinking super sweet something or other. And that's just fluids... so maybe that guy is just fine doing what he is doing.
8:18 What's that little drop of glue in the ball for? 8:51 What does that whipping on the mold do? checking the temperature? 10:44 Wait~ there is some of them clearly not ganna pass the QC~ XDDD
Even in the heydays of the industrial revolution workers were better protected than in this shop. The employer should be brought to justice for criminal behaviour.
What does cutting what looks like 4'x3'x4" ice blocks from a frozen river and hauling pallets of them to what looks like a small house under construction have to do with the subject of the video, which is BS anyway?
Literally ZERO work safety while creating absolutely NON SENSE things. I am amazed! BTW that riksha street runner is beautiful and cute, but I would feel HELL EMBARASED to be carried by her!
Everyone complaining about the lack of workplace safety, and lack of safety equipment, .... but they have no problem buying products from these countries. Boycott these countries that don't give a crap about workplace safety, or keep your hypocrisy in your lane.
3:23 the interesting bit is where they pump up the metal to be a sphere with water

prayer LORD please help these people get eye protection, so they do not suffer
in Jesus name amen
Arc-eye burns the cornea, not the retina. But yes, it does hurt and is not good for your eyes.
not to mention the skin exposure , goodness, yet the world lives off this cheapness in economic boom.
I've been a platinumsmith since my twenties and my optometrist said I had the eyes of a 90 year old, when I was 55. From platinum fabrication.
Zero eye protection using plasma cutter and spot welding with TIG. Oof... cool video though. Where do they sell these?
Send them eye protection.
@@scholarlyreader383 Why? Ist cheaper to get a new guy with good sight then buy eye protection.. that's how they think there.
Heh. What is safety?? No need to
Ear protection????
@@arneminderman3770 Read my comment above.
I needed some earplugs just watching this ....

This is so dystopian . . . What the hell are these balls used for?!
In the neighbouring factory they're disassembled and turned back into flat metal sheets, that they then re-supply back to the original factory.
Probably certified major tennis tournaments.
Ask your mom… she’ll know exactly what we used them for last night 😎
Antigravity and store display ornaments.

Don't go blind for decorative art spheres. The irony is cruel.
i was thinking the same thing. is sad
They squint. Naturally.
М-да! Техника безопасности и охрана труда прям на высоте.
Вроде оцинковку варят даже
You should call the video :The amazing technique they found to make the perfect deaf workers!"
Deaf/blind
Impressive. Getting the geometry correct is a huge talent in and of itself.
Unbelievable - no safety glasses and no ear muffs! 😲
They have balls of steel.
15:30 That is a superbly *_fit_* young lady!
Wow I need a job in that sphere factory for a few weeks to sharpen up my TIG skills
Great skills thank for posting. Keep it up. What country is this vietnam

Is the ice one missing some. I thought they would show what it's used for and how it gets to people. That one was interesting.
Send them some earplugs
I see they have their safety squints on!
this is what happens with no unions or worker protections

Meanwhile at the Starlink Satellite factory….
Hydroforming is not new. Nor are any of the other processes shown. What is surprising is lack of safety.
Quienes las usan y cuál es su utilidad práctica.?

How can they need to produce so many??? People are really buying massive spheres???
I already own 2 perfect steel balls, my wife actually owns them more than i do 😅
I feel sorry for those workers working in such terrible conditions.
Sería interesante que los péruanos conozcan esta tecnología para evolucionar y llegar al siglo XX .
I have one question - why?
Safety who needs Safety wtf
You can put beats 🎧 to this 😅
Okey, great balls of fire, eh, I mean of steel. I want one, but do I NEED one?
For safety, wearing mask is not an option.
hydroforming would be alot faster

No ear protection. Owner probably earns a fortune on selling these spheres

They're definitely not PERFECT spheres but they are pretty close.
