  • Speaker Raloh DeMeo identifies and explains the key legal issues associated with hunting, fishing, and trapping in Florida. This includes an examination of applicable Florida Constitutional sections, statutes, and regulations relating to marine and land wildlife, including the management of the Florida Black Bear, the use of gill nets for fishing, and other current issues. Civil and criminal wildlife laws are discussed, including animal cruelty laws. It also highlights 2024 legislation which proposed an amendment to the Florida Constitution that codifies the right to hunt and fish as the preferred means of wildlife management, which will appear on the November statewide ballot.
