Bombay Bicycle Club - Live at House of Blues (Full Set)

- Опубліковано 18 гру 2014
- October 18, 2014 - Bombay Bicycle Club, full set at House of Blues Boston. The genre-bending group, formed in 2005 out of North London, put on a high octane set that spanned their four full length albums and three EPs. The sold-out Saturday night crowd witnessed an unforgettable performance including multiple tracks from their 2014 album, So Long, See You Tomorrow as well as hits from their earlier work.
Frontman, Jack Steadman, and bassist, Ed Nash, sat down with WGBH Music before the show to talk about everything from the origin of the band’s name, saying “Hello, Dublin!” in Belfast, and the evolution of their songwriting across their four albums.
Front Row Boston is produced by WGBH Music and Crossroads Presents in association with NPR Music.

WGBH music.. How come you've only just put the time stamps up? - thanks anyway coz saves me scrolling through the comments looking for them.
Do you have their performance from November 2019?
They're back together! :D Who's watching this in 2022????
Fredrik Emmanuel Music same here !! So happy they’re back , the music world needs their sound !! :)

The Giantess+Emergency Contraception blues+Evening/Morning= THE MOST EPIC TRANSITION I'VE EVER HEARD!!!!
+Alvaro Duran Hedderich Haha, yes, that transition is fantastic.
Thanx a lot for sharing this great concert! :D
PS:
Agreed..... crazy talented
Alvaro Duran Hedderich AMEN
when i saw them they went from Emergency Conctraception Blues -> Lamplight and was absolutely insane.
One of the best concert films I've seen. I wish I could watch it in a theater with a George Lucas sound system. Bombay Bicycle Club is my favorite band of the twenty first century.
Thanks for the compliment! Glad you enjoyed the video so much.
Always love to watch how Suren bangs everything.
The Giantess/Emergency Contraption Blues transition is one they do often live. It's the best transition period. But combined with the lighting, videography and slick editing makes _this_ version the best of the best. Brilliant.
50:22 = mind blown
smooth af transition
+Megan Cataldi I know awesome right, gutted they didn't do this when i saw them!
The "Naive Melody" part in Lights Out was a REAL nice touch.
That transition from The Giantess to Emergency Contraceptive Blues is amazing. Always Like This was how I discovered BBC, ECB was the epic intro to their first album that got me hooked
Damn nearly cried, One hell of a set. Great tunes. My favorite band. Thank you WGBH MUSIC for this. So sick
Thanks, Ryan! Appreciate your comment. We had so much fun at this show. Great band and great guys

4 am here, 2 years after quarantine. Thank universe for being able to experience this masterpiece of a band. They are pure ART
I know almost nothing of this band, but inexplicably, I bought tickets to see them this week in Leicester. I'm watching this in preparation for the gig, just so I know a few of their songs! Thanks a lot!
watched like 15x times, love to WGBH x
That must have been one FUCKING AMAZING show. Shame I live several thousand miles away from where it was. Really great set. Flaws is a beautiful album, so glad they included some of it.
My first wife and I played most weekends at the Bombay Bicycle Club at Palumbo's Inn in Waverly, Pennsylvania from 1976 through 1978. We were a duet going by the name Charlie & Alida.
What a coincidence that they use that name!!!
How did I miss this!? Damn you, UA-cam recommendations.
Everything sounds amazing and the show was shot so beautifully, thanks so much for this!
Thanks for the great compliment. Appreciate that!
If they always performed ivy and gold like THAT, I don't think people would mind that they play some of "flaws". That performance was just beautifully fun!
I love at the end of "carry me", jack is strumming so fast and hard, you can hear his picking over the actual sound of the guitar, I've noticed in other performances, its kinda funny, like "hearing" the effort in their songs
I was lucky enough to see their show in Hamburg, exactly a month later I suppose. It was marvellous :)
Nice! They do put on a hell of a show
I would love to see them live. I watch this and other live recordings constantly. they're great
Plz plz never take this video down!
This is one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen. Without a doubt.
Saw them today at the Citadel Festival in London. Absolutely amazing performers! Can't wait to see them again!!
This is like Arcade Fire but even more alternative. I didn't believe it was possible.
That version of Rinse Me Down is beautiful! Stunning show

If only they would come to Toronto! Recently discovered this band and I've been absolutely addicted to their original and different sound they have.
Amazing band!!! his sound got a beautiful vibe and it can feel that impression in the video
Thanks, Leandro!
God, this band, they make me feel all funny, in love. queasy. Amazed
Just a perfect recording! Would love to play there sometime!
saw them last year in London at Earl's court and it was AMAZING
Saw them live in Los Angeles and they were amazing. Never thought I'd be able to relive one of the best shows I've ever been to until I saw this. Thanks WGBH!
Thanks, Coty! Glad you found the vid and appreciate the comment.
I was there, such a good concert! This video doesn't do it justice...the video in the background + the light show were a true work of art!!
I am enchanted watching this :)
Great music. That drummer went hard haha, awesome performance
This live performance is incredible, sounds so clean! Just like the recording except with all the excitement of being live.
Duncan Smeaton Thanks, Duncan!
All was perfeecccttttt i really missed you guyssssss ,
first time I heard this band I was like hmmmmmm, then became pleasantly blown away, song after song......unf first song I heard was how can you swallow so much slee...
This is AMAZING so much insight I never thought I’d get straight from the band
Some of these performances legitimately sound better than the studio recording. I can only imagine how much better it sounded right in the concert hall.
please never take this down, it's too good for a band so hard to see live!
This is just perfect, Thanks so much this!!!
Thanks, Rex. Appreciate the comment.
cant wait with the new album!
Great show! Saw them in NYC!

Saw them in Manila last July. Incredible show. Too bad they didn't sing Ivy and Gold then.
Well i want to find that restaurant in north london now!
Watching all their live show makes me regret sleeping on them sooooo hard :(
good !
wow
Rinse me down boss go ed lads
I feel like I'll never hear Take the Right One live :(
😍
In Lights Out, Words Gone, does she says "to go on, to go on, to go on" or "to the one, to the one, to the one"?... It's killing me...
+Undraiks I always thought it was "to go on, to go on"...
Me too, but it sounds more like "to the one" sometimes :P...
Live, it sounds like it's "to go on" but in the recording and in the live versions with Lucy it sounds like "to the one".
liz lawrence ruined it
should I watch the whole thing : p
I just did
Saw them in SF on October 5th, their show is purely amazing. Did they not play So Long See You Tomorrow?
They did not play that song. Glad you got a chance to see them live. They really do put on a great show. The crowd (and our crew) were loving it.
I wanna drum like Suren De Saram when I grow up. 🤣✌️
