Bombay Bicycle Club | radioeins Loungekonzert

Im Jahr 2015 verkündete der Bombay Bicycle Club, dass sich die Band eine Auszeit nehmen würde. Nach einer zehnjährigen Erfolgsgeschichte, wollten sich die Bandmitglieder ihren Soloprojekten widmen. Und das taten sie dann auch. Doch in den letzten vier Jahren ist viel passiert und der Brexit hat die britische Gesellschaft in ihren Grundfesten erschüttert. Bombay Bicycle Gitarrist Jamie MacColl startete ein Anti-Brexit Kampagne und Ende 2018 kam die Band wieder zusammen, erst einmal nur, um über eine Jubiläumstour zum zehnjährigen Erscheinen ihres Debüts "I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose" zu sprechen. Bei dem Treffen wurde jedoch schnell klar, dass man nicht nur die Vergangenheit feiern wollte, sondern auch wieder an neuen Songs arbeiten wolle.
"Everything Else Has Gone Wrong", so wird das neue, fünfte Studioalbum der Band heißen. Es erscheint im Januar 2020. Bei uns waren der Bombay Bicycle Club am 28. November 2019 für ein Loungekonzert.
