How to find THE ROUTE CAUSE

- It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with the possibility of swing issues. This is off, that is, and that looks odd. When all faults will stem from just one issue. This issue left undiscovered will create a snowball effect and produce other errors thereafter.
The art of coaching is to find this route cause issue and then understand the cause and affect of this fix. How good position upon good position will then often result.

In this video I will give an example of finding this route cause as it is based on YOU.

That’s fantastic thank you 👍👍
Brilliant as always. Brings back memories of how much I learned about my swing during the times we spent together. You are the best my friend.
@@MrGolff77 Thank you so much! I’m delighted to hear that. How is everything going?
Great instruction/advice😊👍🏻
@@daveparsons7756 thank you 🙏🏼
Really like the clear communication and good instruction. Thanks
@@stevenroberts9380 I’m delighted to hear and very pleased you’re enjoying 🙏🏼
Thanks Murdoch a great watch 👌👏
@@johnmcgeown6578 thank you John! I’m glad you enjoy it 🙏🏼
I worked from the impact backwards and found that in the actual swing I don’t fully turn my lead hip “round the corner”…….on concentrating on fully turning I suddenly found that I didn’t think of the arms because turning those hips pulls the arms and club through naturally!! It’s also cleared my mind so that after set up I’ve got one swing thought ….smoothly turn that lead hip fully….Boom! 😊
@@glennbraiden3310 well done Glen! Thats it. This is why I love my Turn Drill and others (with no club) so you can understand feelings and limitations with no distractions. Congrats to you and enjoy your golf! 🙏🏼
I have been struggling with iron shots recently... Will keep your lesson in mind! Thanks 🏌️♀️
@@chengwon please let me know how you get on 👌🏼
Just recently I decided to really focus on my feet position at address. I'd noticed that I always had my trail foot a little in front of the lead if not quite a bit so the hips, knee's etc were always standing open. I deliberately put my trail foot toe line an inch behind my lead and bingo, my shots and strike improved drastically and all of a sudden little draws came in & sometimes with driver a quick hook. This hadn't happened in years. I feel the trail hip is now 'behind me' and my turn has got much bigger. It 'feels' like the trail foot is about 6-8 inches behind the lead but of course its not so it's hard to stay doing it but I am staying with it because the difference is huge. So, one change had completely altered the way I can play and for the better by far.
@@Ipdex well done! I’d recommend a video or photo of yourself in those position that’s working best for you so you’ve got a great reference to return too on an off day. The swing off this starting point, create “Blueprints” I call it, where you now focus on 2 of the same.. then three, 4, 5 etc and so on 🙌🏼
Good Video, question for you should my hips be open at contact? In this video it looks like you are fairly open at the point of contact. Have been trying to delay opening up in the downswing to avoid a slice by starting down with the arms 1st but it doesnt feel natural to me. Cheers
@@DaveH1969 thank you for your comment Dave. Yes, hips open at impact.. to what degree depends on a number of factors (such as speed, flexibility and shot shape you desire).
Basically yes. So if you simulate a dynamic impact position using door frame drill, stationary object or scraping the ball you can can great feedback to work backwards from 👌🏼
"Route" cause?? But a good video - thanks!!
@@bryang949 you’re welcome and I’m glad you liked it.. longer than my normal videos. Basically a head thought for most golfers, to start at ground zero in an effort to fix. 9.5 set up if not perfection. Then (with an impact focus) you can really simply everything and prevent faults
root cause?
@@chuckmyntti thank you for your comment. Route cause analysis is a problem-solving technique that is used to identify the root cause of a problem or issue.

@@chuckmyntti I guess I’m just using it for identifying the starting fault for golfers problems.
good theory but never executed....waiting when you wanna hit the ball but you are too shy to hit.....afraid of mishit?
@@shamseng6706 thank you for your comment. I have many videos where I hit. This was finding the beginning fault and how it can then fix other issues. This video did not require a strike of the ball
