Craftsman 160 16-inch Chainsaw Oiler Fix

- About 1 hour of work removing the clutch and cleaning up the oiler on a Craftsman 160 16-inch chainsaw condensed to 3:33. I got the oiler working, and I'll post a comment later to let you know if the leak stopped.
My craftsman just like yours leaked like crazy brand new out the box.
Did you find a solution? Mine is doing the same.
@John Smith yes I was able to fix it. When I got the saw, I tried it fast and cut just 1 log, and it was enough to block the oil hole. So I used compress air to clean it out, and on the bottom, there's a tiny screw that's hard to get to that adjust the chain oil amount and I turned it to give a little less and it stopped leaking after that. I just used it to cut 3 trees down & cut those big trees into 12-inch pieces, which was a great test & a lot of work for it and no more leaking problems. Just have to really clean it after every use. It's temperamental. Good luck
also when you finished using the chainsaw open the oil cup wait for 10 sec then closed it again that will release any pressure build-up internally and stop the oil problem.
is the fuel need to mix 2t?
Look Oiler adjustment screw under chainsaw
Stick a screw driver in opposite side it'll catch it so you don't mess your plug core up haha

Yes and no. The oiler wasn't working at all when I tore it apart and cleaned it out, and the oiler started working again. It still has a small leak which I just live with, and I've put a lot of milage on it since. It wasn't the fix I was looking for, but it worked good enough for my needs.
