So far, even though I have only turned out a small handful of videos from my little mini 3, I think they are probably far more advanced than my general skill and experience would indicate. I, honestly, believe this, not only, to be because of the great tips and tricks you share, but, ( and this is important ) the way you script and frame the conversation makes a world of difference... You have this natural ability to lay in a lesson, without it feeling like a bunch of superfluous technical jargon or complicated logic. Instead, I find myself being somewhat entertained all the while learning really beneficial new technique and methodology; and, as any good marketing pro will tell you, that is a winning combination when you want to sell a point and make it memorable. hi Lisa! I agree. I think it would be a simple software update to have the drone auto return to the controller’s current location. That would be a sensible 4th option for signal loss. LISA your channel is amazing. Well done.
7:04 - TBH I have no issue with the screw driver they supply. My frustration is my poor eyesight when it comes to focusing on the task of replacing the blades
I was in the forrest on a mountain in Oregon. I started to return the drone to me, and all I saw were pine trees....totally blended in, my stomach dropped and my legs turned to jelly. but then I remembered the RTH button. also, im not sure how the radar was back in 2019 but I couldve also used that to guide it back to myself until I heard or saw it
I have to thank you so much for these tips! Many of them I have known about but the one with the tracking box and the compound movement! Today I took out the Mini 3 Pro and did exactly as you said and DAMN!! Smooth all the way! Wow! It makes a huge difference in cinematic flying! I am in love with it! I also used the tip on changing picture mode to 4:3 and cropping that to landscape and it also produced some really fantastic pictures! You know your stuff. Many of these features we knew about but hardly think about them. I am sold! Thanks again!
New member! Love this channel over all others "drone". Question- having a bear of a time getting my mini3prp to land.. anywhere. When OA is actived, it always says "Unsuitable Landing area" and hovers. I can just turn it off and land... but incredibly annoying. Any tips?
hey buddy! good question. wow, not sure the answer. That would be scary to lose signal at night. Never had it happen. I THINK I would want it to just hover? Then I walk towards it until contact is regained. I wouldn’t want the drone flying around by itself at night.
You're history as a 3rd generation filmmaker caused me to click the subscribe button. Love history, people who don't gatekeep, and honoring the legacy of your previous generations. Keep up the great work!
Glad to be done with 104+ evenings, can finally get my baby up in the air again. Location tracking is so much better. Have found I need diagonal flight to keep the orbit circular not egg like.
Brilliant stuff again Ted, thank you very much. Priceless content and excellent presentation. My favourite reason for having an extra SD card in the controller it’s not that I fill the card up on the Drone, but I sometimes set out with no card in the Drone at all, and realise that I’ve left it at home, stuck in the computer. So there is always a spare one in the controller. So, if in the past, anybody is seeing me out and about with my drone and hear me, scream, 0 F***, then that will be me having left the card at home - but no more! Keep your expertise and fun coming, Ted.
yessss! Glad to hear. The other thing i do that really helps with takeoff & landing is to make sure you and the drone (camera) are both looking in the same direction. That way, your left/right is the same as the drone’s left/right.
@@TedNemeth ha ha ha, yes, always in the same direction with the drone to avoid brain scrambling. I wanted to share with you about my mini3 battery charger. I thought that my batteries are getting old or that the charger is damaged. But it just can't fully charge 3 batteries at the same time. Only 2. Otherwise all batteries are only about 75% charged.
Unfortunately I had to change the propellers after only my 3rd flight with the Mini 3 Pro. Made a series of rookie errors while flying near a lighthouse and it ended up auto landing in amongst large rocks. But other than some marks on the propellers it came through unscathed and I got some great video. When I tightened the propeller screws I turned the drone on it's side and did up the screws until they were level (flush) with the top of the prop. Definitely a pain using the DJI screw driver and the last propeller I put on had excessive lock tight on the screw that required it to be removed and replaced with this excess being removed. I also did the entire process on a landing pad, as I was working on grass and this prevented me losing any of the itsy bitsy screws. I'm about to by some tweezers for the drone to assist in removing and reinstalling the micro sd in the controller which I find is a real pain. I record the screen as well, in case I want to use it in a video.
Hello, I enjoy watching your videos with dji brand drones. I have a DJI Mini 3 pro drone. There are various mastershots and mastershots in the software of the device. Is there a program where I can make such mastershots? Or can you guide me what I should do to record a route with a file with a gpx extension or similar and fly the drone on this route?
Another important tip is to make sure your RTH altitude is lower than the max altitude when you are flying inside of a controlled airspace. For instance, if you are flying in a controlled airspace quadrant that is a max of 100' AGL, make sure your RTH altitude is lower than 100' AGL. :)
I find the micro adjustments very annoying so that’s why i don't use any of the auto modes except sometimes spotlight i use that occasionally fantastic video ted cheers col from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Good stuff, Ted. I didn't think of myself as a beginner, having flown drones for over 6 years now, but I learned so much about the Mini 3 Pro here. Thanks! Also, 18:55, I did not realize they used drones for some of the scenes in The Big Lebowski 😂

7:04 - TBH I have no issue with the screw driver they supply. My frustration is my poor eyesight when it comes to focusing on the task of replacing the blades
grrrr now i wana get me a 3 mate certainly has some clever witchcraft that i suddenly need great vid as always cobba cheers
Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
I was in the forrest on a mountain in Oregon. I started to return the drone to me, and all I saw were pine trees....totally blended in, my stomach dropped and my legs turned to jelly. but then I remembered the RTH button. also, im not sure how the radar was back in 2019 but I couldve also used that to guide it back to myself until I heard or saw it
Nicely done sir! I enjoy your knowledge and appreciate your disposition 🙏🏼 New Sub!
Thank you Ted. Well done video.
I love your content Ted. Very informative.
Awesome and Informative topic @TedNemeth 🎉🎉🎉
hey buddy! Man I appreciate it.
Great information video. Thanks from a new subscriber.
welcome aboard to our FLYING CAMERA CREW
@@TedNemeth Thank you.
Fabulous Ted! Just got the Mini 3 Pro. 👍👍
congrats! its literally my favorite piece of gear of all time. I have no desire for a bigger drone. You’ll love it.
New member! Love this channel over all others "drone". Question- having a bear of a time getting my mini3prp to land.. anywhere. When OA is actived, it always says "Unsuitable Landing area" and hovers. I can just turn it off and land... but incredibly annoying. Any tips?
welcome aboard my friend!
Dang. So has this landing issue always existed? …since like day 1? Or did it start doing that after a crash or something?
Thanks Dude! Very helpful stuff!
Location box to location pin. Nice subject but does it apply to just a Mini 3?
Thanks for this value information. If flying at night is beter RTH or hover?
hey buddy! good question. wow, not sure the answer.
Some great tips there Ted ✌️👍🙏… keep up the great work
As a Beginner...Thank you for the Controller Tips and Advice 👍 Well put together Video !! 👍
i appreciate it sir! Thanks for watching and taking the time to let me know you found some value.
your suggested cine settings made the landing on my hand less neurotic. Thank you.
Brilliant as always Ted.
Another important tip is to make sure your RTH altitude is lower than the max altitude when you are flying inside of a controlled airspace. For instance, if you are flying in a controlled airspace quadrant that is a max of 100' AGL, make sure your RTH altitude is lower than 100' AGL. :)
yup. Thank you good sir.
Great video sir..thanks for sharing
I find the micro adjustments very annoying so that’s why i don't use any of the auto modes except sometimes spotlight i use that occasionally fantastic video ted cheers col from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
This is a good one Ted 👍👍😀
Humm. You are flying over water😂. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
OUTSTANDING, VIDEO 💪👽👍
Michael i really appreciate it my flying filmmaker friend
Good stuff, Ted. I didn't think of myself as a beginner, having flown drones for over 6 years now, but I learned so much about the Mini 3 Pro here. Thanks! Also, 18:55, I did not realize they used drones for some of the scenes in The Big Lebowski 😂
Fabulous tutorial, thanks for sharing your expertise and knowledge with us. Cheers from Australia :) 👍
Great tutorial as always buddy 😉👏👍
Hi Ted, arent the Screw not in the JIS Format ?
Read this in a Forum and test it for myself with an JIS ScrewDriver.
It fits better than my WERA-P000 !
Was very informative. Especially about the orbit mode and also the 4:3 format. Thank you. 🍺
Brilliant tips as always Ted 🤗
