Lessons learned: if you push the Mini 3 Pro to its advertised maximum distance of 10km, you can only make it travel back within 5km from your home point location. You’re a brave soul, Farhaan 😮
It also depends on the direction of the prevailing winds, which generally increase in velocity, the higher the altitude. But, the higher the altitude, the stronger the signal will typically be; the best compromise will be needed. Ideally, the best weather to try flying maximum distance, is to find a calm, cool day. If a calm day isn't available, then at least, find 1 with a light crosswind, or a slight headwind heading out. The drone will fly with a conservative battery estimate, & a tailwind on the return will help with its returning on a low battery.
Probably the best range test iv seen on a DJI drone. You actually pushed its limits and took a risk that others wouldn’t take great reviews keep it up and you guys will get more subs and viewers!
Man I had the most anxiety watching this video, I thought it was going to be lost. Glad you found it and now I know how high and how far I can take my drone. Awesome video thank you for doing this so I don't have to.

more like very irresponsible and stupid.... at distance battery is very inaccurate, he's very lucky he didn't crash it or have it drop out of the sky..... and he just stopped landing and then stopped descending!! not smart..... I've seen people do this and think they have 10 percent battery, but the signal is not strong so it doesn't update correct, and it drops out of the sky from 300 meters and shatters into twenty pieces.... never trust their battery percentage... especially when its below 15 percent... its almost always wrong.....
@@nostalgiaarcadefuture He was flying over a sparsely populated rural area so I wouldn't agree that his experiment was irresponsible or ill advised. Always fly back your drone on your own, when I used to use the rth function the speed is considerably much slower than flying back manually. Good video, way to push your drone to the limits!
You would have received about 15M/s in Sport mode, but I'm not sure which is the optimal speed per battery pct, Normal or Sport. I think that even if you did have in Sport mode going out and back, you probably would have still had to land around 2-3KM from Home.

Great footage and a great test. 11KM is 6.84 miles. That's definitely one of the farthest range tests I've seen. I'm sorry if I missed it, but where was this shot? The scenery is not just beautiful but very different than where I live in the U.S.! Great job!
Hello Shane, Good Afternoon from Pakistan 😂 It’s okay to skip the unnecessary parts of the video. I think now you know where this test was performed, Have great weekend.
Wow, incredible test. Unbelievable 11 km range. Did you try 5.8GHz Yagi Antenna for DJI Mini 3/Mini 3 Pro Drone Signal Booster? That may help drone signal.
Pretty epic opening! Fun test, well done! The attitude indicator looked like you were pushing against the wind in both directions, that will eat some battery...but, 11,000 meters is quite the distance!
Now that's what I call a Stick Jokey with a lot of BALLS lol, a great flight, I live in the UK and have updated my RC with External Antennas and have achieved over 6,000 meters in CE Mode from a ground position and flying at a legal height of under 120 meters, this beat my long-range test with the Internal antennas of just over 2,000 meters.

So much anxiety watching this lol! Thanks for this - immediately feels like a major chicken when I won't even let mines out of sight and above 50m. Update! Bro you're a ROCKSTAR not only for pushing this thing 6miles but emergency landing and retrieving it. Amazing
Good video! Thankfully there is nowhere I would be legally able to try that myself should I be tempted :/ as in most of western Europe. And well done for keeping a clear head in those last tense moments, bringing it down safely and retrieving it in one piece.
I understand, This test should only be done in desert areas or in mountains under legal height and away from airports. Thank you for watching & have a great weekend :)
Interesting video and it had me a bit anxious about your drone though. Flying at that altitude in those wind conditions you realistically had about 7500 meters safe range meaning, you could land it at your feet. Most countries have a maximum legal altitude of 120 meters for a drone. It would be interesting to see a test done with a launch from a ten story building to get the remote above the ground clutter and flying at that altitude.
Just a tip, if you change the video from 4K60 to 4K 30 or even 1080P the processor will be working less hard and the extra battery power can beused for flight. Albeit a small amount.
Exactly you’re right there but I wasn’t even recording on the drone camera what you see in the video is the phone recording that drone camera video is just the video in 4K, A slight change may be there what i see is that the camera is opened in 4K 60fps, If it is opened in 720p at 30fps there it may save me some percentage, Thanks for the tip!
