70's and 80's are the best ever for music...period
Naw, 60s to the 80s! My, how some of us forget....
Damn right! ❤
You gotta include the 90s too. You can't deny it.
Mary Davis, hits it hard on this, she is a great lead singer.
Yardbrough & Peoples - Don’t stop the music
Mary Jane Girls - All Night Long
Cherelle & Alexander Oneal - Saturday Love
Dennis Edwards - Don’t Look Any Further
Shalamar - A Night To Remember
Bangers apart from a night to remember too light for me.
Rose Royce "Love Don't Live Here Anymore"
Sade: "Smooth Operator"
LaBelle: "Lady Marmalade"
The SOS Band is one bada$$ band!! Another Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis production. The Finest, Tell Me If You Still Care, High Hopes and Weekend Girl are 4 joints you should check out from the SOS Band.
SOS band had so many good songs & were always playing live in LA in the 80's🤩 they're still doing concerts!
This is when music was music! The production, the authentic bands, real vocals (when Live sounded the same if not better than recorded)…this is when all around talent was at its pinnacle! No Cap!
I remember dancing to this song and being disappointed when it ended.
Hi 👋 JJ!!! Great pick!!! Another banger that displays the genius of Jimmy Jam Harris and Terry Lewis!!! and did you know that Silkk the Shocker sampled this with his track Just Be Straight With Me!!! and Tupac also sampled this with his track Heavy in the Game ft. Richie Rich and Lady Levi!!!' and I love it when you react to old school classics like this and so many other; you're just full of surprises!!! Keep it up my young brotha!!! Great reaction!!!
during the early 80's 8,9,10 minute or longer songs were common.
Love this song and their performance on Soul Train🙂
One of the best groups of all time. Jams on top of jams.
My favorite song from the SOS Band! Straight dance floor/DJ take a break song! Lol. As soon as that beat hits you automatically get up or groove in your seat!
Oh God how I have always loved this song but now it makes me cry cause all I think about is my man who I lost how badly I miss him it just kills me. :(
One of my favorite jams
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Luuuuuuv this extended dance version. I never wanted to end.
As I said before Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam, the producers on all of Janet Jackson's hits, produced all or most of the hit songs by The SOS Band. They're all great. Try "Take Your Time", "Tell Me (If You Still Care)", "Just The Way You Like It", "No One's Gonna Love You", and "Weekend Girl". Also try "Human" by The Human League which Terry and Jimmy also produced.
Gosh u have good taste with the SOS band songs...this might be myfav song of all time.
The Genius of the LEGENDARY Iconic Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
Dude is reacting to the jams on here !!!
Fun to look back! So THIS is when and how you discovered SOS. Blessed day, right?
✨👌🏼✨🙏✨
Strobe lights in a dark juke joint and you rocked interplanetary.
They made songs to last forever, not just for a year or two
This song has be covered and sampled many times. One cover even went to #3 on the pop and #1 dance charts here in the US. "Dub Be Good To Me" by Beats International. You should react to that it came out in 1990 big hit around the world as well.
If this don't make you want to dance, nothing will.
Great cut...also been "sampled" to death over the years. Just like the Dazz Band you did earlier, SOS Band were some heavy hitters in the clubs back in the day. Haven't heard this for years...thx.
Produced by the fame production team Flyte Time team of Terry Lewis n Jimmie Jam members of The Time. They are also produced most of Janet Jackson, New Edition, The SOS Band n many others.
Their production is just 🔥🔥🔥
The Rain by Oren " Juice" Jones uses a slightly sped up sample
One my fav songs growing up, it was Richard Pryor stand up intro aswell
That's one of the first things I think about when I hear it! 😂 That was a hell of a stand up special too! 😂
A fun fact I didn’t realize! Is it documented in a stand up video?
Sure was Richard Pryor think he had on the red suit ?
It was on his live in concert in New Orleans it was his last stand up special I think
This brings me back to when I was a young kid in elementary school going to the skating rink on friday nights. Didn't even bother taking my roller skates off to get back home by myself at 10pm. No knee pads, no elbow pads or helmet and no helicopter parents back then.
If you want to try some break dancing hits from the 80's, check out Rockit by Herbie Hancock and There's No Stoppin' Us by Ollie & Jerry. Make sure to do the video versions.
I refer to the SOS band among others as Princes musical grandchildren because the producers were originally in his band the time ..they were released when they got snowed in while producing the s o s band and missed a show on the 1999 tour.😍 they also went on to produce cherrelle, Alexander O'Neal, New Edition ,Janet Jackson Etc God i miss the 80's.
Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis were kind of "moonlighting" starting this band, while working/producing for Prince, without his knowledge. Once Prince found out, he fired them.
I use to have this 45 single when it came out in 1983. Loved several of SOS's tracks...
They got snowed in and couldn't get to the Time gig or else Prince may not have known.
@@craigalaneleazer4473 ~ True but once Prince found out where they were, he fired them...

SOS Band has one of the best production in their albums! So goood! 🔥🙏. This is one of those songs I've listened so much. Now, 9 months after breakup, it's kinda hard to listen to these lyrics.
Back and Forth , by Cameo, Reach for it, George Duke
Lot of rap songs use to sample this beat..
SOS band one of the most sampled Bands ever..
Great 👍 song it was Richard Pryor movie 🍿 one of best women band
SOS (Sound Of Success) Band....
This was redone by Beats International ft Lyndi Layton as Dub be Good to Me
Once this started playing on Saturday morning, you cleaning.
Nah fr
This is great along with "just the way you like it". Great club dance music in the 80s. Shame I'm too old to go to night clubs (do they still exist) and they wouldn't play music like this any more anyway. Growing old isn't great.
Fav song
So many memories
I love this the keys drive the song.
One of the first songs to use the 808
Change - Change of heart
Shaaaoooo!! This is it .. Now its a house party ....
In the clubs around this time they used to play this song for slower dancing
All aboard the Jam and Lewis express.

There’s a club in OKC that plays this and Take Your Time by SOS Band and although I love this song more- Take Your Time Do It Right is THAT girl! 🔥🔥🔥

👍👍💯💯💯💯
So much great talent from Atlanta over the years. This is the band that caused Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to get fired by Prince and start their own career. LOL Look up the story.
Best business decision he ever made. It would have happened anyway... they are amazing! By far my favorite products.
S O S Band - No One's Gonna Love You
52nd Street - Tell Me (How It Feels)
Brandy - Full Moon
USHER - U Don't Have To Call
Donell Jones - You Know What's Up / I'm Gonna Be
Aaliyah - Rock The Boat
P Diddy - Come To Me
I've done a lot of those already.
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis production
Dude the lead singer is a girl not a guy (: Now they do have a male singer as well and back up singer's also (: Its a band maybe 8 too 10 members am not sure (: But they were big popular group in the 80s with really good funk grooves too them (: I always thought they were bad ass (: Kool reaction anyway (: React too take your time by the SOS Band that's another good one (: Its a early song that came out late 70s but still awesome track (:
Gta 4 the vibe radio channel for me 🤣
Silkk tha Shocker ft Destiny's Child "Just be straight with me"
It’s just something about this song gives me a different pop culture been other culture
Long side... I suppose it's how you look at it 🤔🤣 not to me because there is so much build up in the last minute or so. So much great layering of sound. One of my favorites ❤
Am I a weird white boy? I know all these songs. SOS Band, Yarborough and Peoples
Nope if anything you've got great taste in music, lol!

Yeah man. The eighties best music. Not only the black artists but the white ones as well. Listen to Kenny Logins "Love Will Follow, or Bobby Caldwell "what you won't do for Love.
