  • In this episode, Vix reflects on the current food landscape in the UK, with supermarkets struggling to stock familiar produce and how many are now looking more closely at the UK's own seasonal produce.
What better time to also start looking at our hedgerows? Their seasonal abundance offers so much insight into the history and ecology of our local areas, and can also be a source of nutrition and flavour too. In this episode, Vix showcases some of her favourite wild ingredients on the Cornish coast, revelling in what is one of the most abundant periods of the year.
This series, however, isn’t solely about identifying and sustainably harvesting foraged foods. It’s also about how households across the country can use their local environment to supplement their dishes, adding exciting flavours to supermarket foods and community support initiatives.

I am so grateful for your videos. I live in Ireland, Dublin area. There are lots of overlapping species. I save a ton of money in the grocery store and on therapy ;) by getting out and enjoying the wild offerings. Thanks a million!
