I stumbled on your channel, and I CANNOT believe this video has under 1000 views. Keep up your hard work. I’m grateful to you for sharing this information.
I have the benefit of hearing about the Unity policy changes way after they were first announced, but this whole ordeal definitely has stained Unity's otherwise solid reputation. They are actively destroying their business just by a small change to their company policy and you can't really blame indie developers trying to look for engines elsewhere (I've recently seen alot more traction towards Gamemaker and Godot). Really great video! Bit disappointed I was nine days late but you really make great content! Hope this channel starts picking up some steam soon.
Thank you! I'll probably won't cover too much "news" in the future (it takes me too long to edit unfortunately) but this was too important for the indie space to ignore. Regarding Unity, their U-turn was bigger than I expected. Games in development won't have to change engines, which is a relief. But you're right, the damage has been done. They also haven't removed any executives which doesn't inspire confidence for the future.
wait im sorry WHAT, I watched a few of your videos and saw that you only have 957 subs?!?!? (958 now!), with this kind of quality I assumed you were had hundreds of thousands of subs!
Erratum: A Hat in Time is not a Unity game, it was made in Unreal Engine 3!

Severely underrated channel for this quality, wish you great growth in the future
Thanks for the kind words! That'll be up to the UA-cam algo I fear 😁

Let's hope one day that will be the case ;)
these videos are so high quality! how are you not more popular?
Thank you! Tbh I didn't ever expect so many views so I'm already happy :)
Nice video! Some of the games shown are not Unity games, though. (for example, A Hat in Time at 8:53)
Whoops, thanks for the correction! The others should be Unity games though :)
It’s really sad Unity ruined itself like this. I was learning to use it but now that’s never going to happen
Yep, better switch to something like Unreal or Godot to be safe!
rest in peace an actually decent company
They did a lot for the indie scene, that's for sure
Been keeping up with as much Unity news as possible lately, it's been truly disheartening and the execs show no sign of backing off
Yeah it's a tragedy for all the devs who poured their hearts and souls into their games
For the algorithm
Much appreciated 🙏
and yet it's crashing even more after brackey's returned with godot.
So now we need to make Roblox games?
That's still owned by a publicly traded company, switching to an open source engine such as Godot might be the best option :D
