- Milwaukee (2850-21P) M18 Compact Impact Driver Kit - Watch Before You Buy!
Today we give the #verycoolgang an overview of what to expect with the Milwaukee M18 Compact Brushless 1/4'' hex impact driver promotional kit! Let us know what you think of this impact driver in the comments section below!!
Lol, you read my mind, I am actually in Home Depot 😂😂
Haha me too
would like to see a video comparing the non-fuel with the fuel impact drivers to really see the difference. ...you've probably already made that video, vince. guess i should have looked first.
Not a bad idea, we have not made a video with a direct comparison!!
@@VCGConstruction yes would love to watch that
Have you made the direct comparison yet?
Brotha I bought this tool Milwaukee impact 2850-22CT came with 2 batteries and a m18 m12 charger. Been using it for 2 years now. Perfect for HVAC 💪
Got this for 99 bucks a week ago. Has taken everything I've thrown at it. Lug nuts. Lag nuts. Everthing. Not a fuel but I dont think a fuel is worth the price difference
Nice Jacob!
Jacob King how’s it handle the lug nuts
@@freddyceeclaudio9990with my 2.0 battery it zips them off with very little struggle. With my 9.0 HO battery it blisters them off like my dads dewalt brushless 1/2 impact. No joke
I don’t have any use but i bought the gen3.kit with packout for $239. They’re beautiful like my kimber 1911.
👍🏻
How much of a difference in performance is there between this Milwaukee 2850-20 and the Milwaukee 2853-20 Fuel Impact Driver?? On the fence as to which one to get!
I would love to see this impact vs DeWalt XR. I would love to see Milwaukee's middle of the road impact take on Dewalts best.
Great impact driver very powerful and fast. Definitely Satisfied. More than enough power for me. 💪👍 Bought a 5ah battery for it. '
Yeah Jacob it’s a monster!
Sorry for the newbie question but I’m researching which one I should get, I’m unsure if I want the 3/8 or the 1/2, I’m new to tools and don’t really know what those measurements tell me about the impacts driver, I’ll be in the plumbing trade so crazy torque isn’t mandatory, I’m also thinking I’d like to stick to all M18 tools and batteries or might that be a bad idea? Even if more expensive I’d rather spend the money now to get tools that will last a really long time with ease of use and less charging times/longer lasting batteries, thank you in advance for anyone willing to take the time to answer these questions
Used hand tools on my motorcycles for years. Decided to buy one of these today and all I can say is WOW. This thing is addicting!!!
did you ever figure out the problem with the collar with the bit slipping out? I'm stuck between this or the Mikita.
Great impact. Drill is good too.
Thought my phone froze at 3:20
😂😂😂 Nope!
I don’t have that one but I do have the Gen-2 Fuel impact driver and I should be receiving the Gen-3 impact driver with the 1/2” hammer drill in a PACKOUT box this Friday (12/14) I can’t wait for it.
Awesome Jason!!
Nice Jason....the Gen 3 kit is a beast...I have it 💪
kingofthecrease30 The videos and live streams kinda made me get a Gen-3 combo, my Gen-2’s are still great but I had to get the Gen-3 before I lose out on the promo offer.
Yo! Literally at Home Depot right now. Vince knows what’s up. Been putting it off but just for that, time to claim the best deal out there right now and smash that subscribe button.
Dude was smart putting the model in the title for good SEO. I landed here after googling this model while at the depot.
Just bought this yesterday for 89$ thing is a beast for its size.
Dude, I'm new to your videos...I've watch a few now and you keep refercing videos to click on the corner of the screen that's aren't there. Your editing guy is slacking bro...
Just got this in a kit with the hammer drill, 2.0 batts and charger for 225$ cdn, same price as a surge bare tool, the gen 3 impact is like 200, this thing rips and so does the drill! Such a good bang for the buck and still very well built
What does it mean when it says overload protection? Does this mean that when the stress of say screwing a screw into a concrete wall gets too much for the gun it will cut out? I bought this impact driver recently and whenever I try to screw or unscrew something slowly the gun cuts out. I was just wondering if this is supposed to happen
Yes, you are correct. The monitoring circuit will cut power to the motor to prevent damage.
Yep brushless motors don’t have bearings the rotor just magically floats there
💯
It is still under $99 promotion 2 years after. 🤑
Looks like a great tool. You guys are Awesome thanks for the giveaway details. Got the same scale in our kitchen 🤣
Thanks Elijah! That scale is awesome!
@@VCGConstruction No problem and yes it is 😁
Try 2853-20 vs 2850-20
what are our need's , ?? on the Moving truck, used 1/4" 2656, ,, one time had to drill , got very hot, upgraded to 2750, ,, then 2850,, really no difference, then helper's, can not control a tool, and hammer till shear head off bolt, strip, ,,,, so upgraded my 2753, for auto n construction, to 2853, n put the 2753, in moving tool's, n tell help, setting 1, unless I use. ( I'm a jack all trade's LOL, but bill's paid !!)... really liked 2850, but can only use on My personal job's, these stupid kid's, (some,,,, some good or better than me), but can not trust them put #2 phillip in tv. n not break, or shear head off bed bolt !!! if not me using trigger, so me replacing 2850, with 2753, mode 1 on moving truck fix, n other work, I'm free use 2850 or 2853, ,,, all depend's on how we make $$Money !!!
Not a fan for one very easy reason. The light sucks. It doesn't aim even close to where you need it to. If you are working in dark or dim lit spaces, it is a joke. I would not recommend this tool to almost everyone. If you do not work in dark spaces often, but need to at some point, you will be disappointed when that time arises. I have almost all Milwaukee tools, I bought a Dewalt oscillating tool as a result of this impact driver. The new designer at my Milwaukee should not be overlooking such a simple yet necessary feature for as long as they have been a player in the game. Just my opinion of course, but no matter what brand you buy, keep an eye out for the little things that are not so little when you need them.
I love mine. I bought the compact impact and compact drill driver kits separately. (I wanted the extra charger) ive been happier with this impact than the gen 3.
rjw why?
I bought this one it’s Nice
Yes it is Ken!
I have one and it definitely has good power but be ready to use that finger to control it because if you go balls deep you will bury that screw lol
Is it a skookum choocher?
Indeed
Hi guys, greetings from Argentina.
I'm changing brands, from Dewalt to Milwaukee. I already have the 2504, I am going to buy the 2505, and I am in doubt of acquiring the M12 2553, or the M18 2850. Which one would you buy? and because. Thank you.
Very cheesy
#TTR #timewarp
One could charge their tools and jacket at the same time
C'mon review the milwaukee m12 cable cutters
And who do you think Milwaukee’s main competitor is I ask you?
Dan the man Soderholm is on to something there! If your up north and need a heated jacket and have the M18 kits with the new charger, you already have the charger for the M12! #verycoolguy thanks for the vid. I was wondering how you got that impact. #timewarp
The space time continuum!!
I have the Milwaukee M18 2656-20 model. I know you are featuring the 2850-21 and you have noted the deficiency with the chuck. As for my model #2656-20 (which I have had for 2 years), I have not had any problems with it. Though in fairness, I don't use it on a daily basis.
I think the model you are testing is a newer release from Milwaukee. Wonder if they went a bit on the cheap side with making it.
I bought one of those back in September, it's a great tool
Was about to buy a Makita combo for 179, this beaut Makita rep at the local Depot advised me to get the Milwaukee combo kit (2892-22CT) for $199 with a free 5ah batterry. The battery alone cost 129, I think I did alright. The impact was able to remove the lugs on the truck and it was awesome.
I do appreciate the slim 2.0 but then Bosch is offering a 4.0 in about the same size....let’s HOPE Milwaukee releases a 3.0 or a 4.0 in that size. Just look at what they have done to the m12 batteries was just 1.5 then 2.0 now 3.0 same with the 3.0-6.0
Is that the hydrolic model?
No
Can you tell me more about that cardboard?? Hmmm...
Is this significantly different from the FUEL?
FUEL is the top of the line, this is middle of the road. Definitely better than brushed.
@@VCGConstruction where would you place the M18 Surge?
@@d-c-g6525 just under the fuel gen 3
@codygrant9066Surge is hydraulic and not ment for regular anvil impact work. 3-4 inch construction screws or lower (just regular 2x4 connection work). But it can handle larger stuff albeit being slower. It is a half the noise and less vibration gentlemans impact.
Awesome tool for the money thanks for the great unboxing keep up the great work
Definitely Jay! Thank you
this was my birthday present and its great
Vcg magic making the world go round one video at a time
Thats right Randy!
did this ever go on TTR? didnt see the link
Yes it’s in the tool test raw playlist
Looks like a beast! I picked one up last week found it at my depot in clearance for 79! Haven't used it yet though
Is m18 cp2.0 different than a standard Milwaukee m18 2.0?
That’s a steal! Thanks
Bag is not sturdy
Would that be able to put the legs down on a camper?
i bought two of them $90 each at HD very good deal
I buy all my Milwaukee tools at Northern tools. Plus I have a friend there that hooks it up with discounts
Awesome
Literally in Home Depot rn
Hey Vince on the DIY videos I would like to see some router tips and techniques for jobsite router jobs.Step building videos like stringer layout cutting and install. Thank you and appreciate you
Nate Baker are DIY doing stringers now a days?
My neighbor is very capable, but still what I consider a DIYER and in October he was asking me how to layout stringers for some steps he was adding to a deck, cause he did not want pay for precut ones.
Hello from sunny and 70 Nebraska. I know you have an issue with the Dewalt DCF887 but would you say this is still a better tool than the 887?
Hello Shawn!! Yes this is much better!!
The 887 is more powerful and faster. But from a value standpoint this Milwaukee is better especially if you got red tools. This gun outperforms all lower dewalt and makita impacts though even the tough as nails dewalt 885.
Definitely the Milwaukee 2850 is better than 887 I used to have the 887 but Much Rather my Milwaukee 2850"
does this model have a 5 year warranty as well?
Yes
Once again great video Vince.... along with some humor.... I stand by what I always say...Milwaukee are the best power tools hands down... that is an awesome deal for that compact impact driver...$99 for a Milwaukee?...How can you go wrong
Thanks Rich!
VCG Construction .... My pleasure as always.... would like your expert opinion on something... Circular saw‘s.... I currently have a 7 1/4 inch Ridgid Circular saw Corded.... I just Feel at least for that particular Tool.... that s Corded is better overall... do you think I am right on this assumption or not?...Because if you tell me that cordless is just as good then you can bet your ass I will be getting a Ridgid GEN five cordless...Because it is apparent from your videos that you are an expert on power tools... you can make black and decker look like the best power tool on the market...lol... i’m not stupid in this field but I don’t know as much as you do... so would really appreciate your feedback on this...Thanks
When it comes to circular saws I don’t think one is better than the other, I believe both have their benefits. The one big benefit to Cordless is convenience! If you can live with the cord, so be it!!
VCG Construction ... Thanks vince... appreciate it bro...Keep those vids coming...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
3:23 😂😂😂
OK lets see Dewalt top this one....lol
Raj Dann red China is cheered as a hero because they include a 2 ah battery v 1.3ah battery of the DeWalt. DeWalt can’t employ hard working Americans and make a profit giving away 2.0ah batteries. Go with DeWalt and save an American from being homeless for the holidays.
@@renaissancemen1 the 99 dollar dewalt is made in china. Not assembled in usa. Go look at home depot.
Is this as powerful as the 2853-20?
It’s just as powerful actually. No difference whatsoever, so your better off paying $99
cool just ordered the MW Tablesaw (free extra 12ah battery!) and Fuel Circular saw kit 2730-21 ($120 discount) - great deals out there right now best time of the year! - oh yeah HD matched the online sale price as well - that was awesome - later man have a great Christmas!
Can this take lug nuts off ?
Not sure, use an impact wrench
@@VCGConstruction oky thanks
If your gonna break out the Calipers you might as well give us the smell test.
broo can you review bosch
I have their brushed model I gone brushless but with ridgid now great review Vince
Nice Daniel! Thank you!
Where is the link to the compact 18v drill?
