Funny hearing military grade. In the Metro video games, pre-WW3 military production 5.45x39 cartridges are the standard currency. A cartridge will get you one shot of bathtub vodka.
There are many games and post apocalypse books that use ammunition as barter and currency items. However none of them take into account that ammo factories are going to be prime target, and stock and storage are going to be gone.
Have you tried the 7.62x39 Kyrgyzstan ammo? What kind of accuracy have you been able to get out of it if you have tried it? Also any reliability issues? Thanks for any input you may have.
its actually not that bad for what it is . Has Okay MOA , definitely is realiable and havent had a single problem or issue while shooting at all after 400 rounds. the Only problem i have with it is that it IS Highly corrosive and very dirty. i was super afraid of using it until i used windex and ballistol so now im very comfortable using it for plinking.
@@PracticalWeapons Well, i mean that is subjective. I consider underwood controlled chaos expensive at about $2.09 a round. Some tracer incendiary stuff i got was $4 each. My .338 Lapua is $4 each for training and $8-9 for match grade. I found some of the Norinico for $25 a box, so I got 15 boxes, and wanted too compare cause ya don't find it everyday type thing. My favorite all-purpose 7.62x39 is the Fort Scott. It usually goes for $30 a box but found some for $20 a box last month. Stocked up and got 1000 rounds of it.
I think they were cheaper than that, it was about $20 per box. I will check if the store has any more, I live quite a bit away from large cities so we don't get big crowds in these stores
Depending on the part of town and what you want to get. I go to shops on hwy 98. It is the northwest Lakeland area. West Pawn, Rapture ... We have shoot straight if you want to see a high price chain store with clerks instead of gun people
Ok, the way you pronounce "Norinco" lends authenticity to the russian accent. That's not so scary but when you put it in context of all the "Florida Man" news stories the combination does start to get unsettling.
It is very hard to do a Russian accent sometimes, vs the Arkansas drawl... But nobody here in Florida boondocks doubts I am from the South. Just had an hour talk with one of the local farmers today :)

🇦🇺😎👍Happy Sunday
Same to you!
Cant find any steel cased ammo with decent prices....been stocking up on all brass.
Great buys love the content
It seems steel cased ammo was mostly from Russia... Brass cased are being sold for the same price right now.
The best price I found was 43 cents... More than twice from before sanctions. Getting close to switching to 300 aac

Not yet, due to various reasons unable to get to the range recently...

I wonder how bad it would be for non chrome lined barrel and bolt. I have a budget AR 7.62 from radical firearms for comparison tests
how much did ya get the Norinico for? is it steel core?
It is indeed a steel core, price I don't remember right now, not cheap

My sister just moved down to Lakeland FL. What shops should I go to when I come visit?

@@PracticalWeapons I've been to shoot straight and it was super expensive. I wouldn't buy anything g there.
@cvillefarmer it was even worse trying to talk to some of their sales people...
@cvillefarmer I rarely buy guns locally, mostly transfer to local stores. Good stores are in nearby larger cities, Lakeland is kind of backwater town

I also can’t find ny steel cased ammo.

This is the same as Kalashnikov USA branded box. Sportsman's Guide has some ammo as well as sg ammo
Really want to get into aks but the ammo availability and pricing isn't looking great 🫤
There are 9mm and 5.56 AKs available but the AK game has been getting more and more expensive
