That's one of the pointless arguments that gets echoed around the gun community more than anything because it's already obvious that having a cap and ball revolver is better than using your fists. The purpose of defense ammo is to maximize every advantage. For most conceal carriers they will only be carrying 1-2 mags so it is very important those mags are filled with more lethal ammo rather than take the chance of dumping budget range ammo. I gotta copy and paste this since it appears on every comment section about defense ammo. In summary yes everyone already knows fmj is better than throwing fists at people. But it's clear hollow points are better than fmj so you can probably afford to buy 2 boxes of it without starving.
Lol BRO you should be a MAN and get your hands dirty. You will quickly find out that your hands get stained from grease and oil and they don't come clean from simply washing them.
It's already been tested. Here you go. ua-cam.com/video/XtITXdUt4Zc/v-deo.htmlsi=AAGHJwDLl0145mWq Summary is that it actually performed quite well but you do need a compact barrel length or longer. The expansion is .89 if you have the right velocity on the gun. It is 10.5 inches so it's the same as winchester silver tips and should only be used for frontal or back direct shots. Denim doesn't matter which is good since winchester ranger t (black talons) will fail to expand due to clogged denim pretty often. It is a decent budget defense round but is in the average category. One significant improvement that can be made would be of norma changed the 4 petals design into 5 or 6 instead to improve organ grazing probabilities.

I have some because of the price. Mine are not all beat up.
The 9mm looks horrible for consistency, 45acp is a lot better
If the self defense ammo is not consistent than it sucks
That's my opinion as well
I don't have any experience with this round either but have to say thats's about the sloppiest, most poorly made bullet I've ever seen. Probably why it's only $8 a box. My guess is that after current stock is sold out Norma won't make any more.Or they coud correct the problem and market it under a different name. I have couple brand names near that price, ammo inc 115 gr jhp and sinter fire 100 gr jhp
Theyve already replaced it with a new cartridge.
Plug the cavity with rubber cement
My wife agrees 8” is plenty
Cool👍🏿
Dude I was really getting into your video until the eight inch penetration remark. The penetration of a human torso and ballistic gelatin are or the same.
DUDE! You're 100% correct! That's why "fbi standards" don't mean anything... it's okay though, there's other videos out there to watch! That was part of the fbi standard joke... their "standard" is in gel
As of 6-5-24, they are $5.99 a box
I'd make that deal
I been watching vedios where they didn't open on gel tests
Exactly for this reason.
PSA just sold me 20 boxes @$6.99 each.
Yeah that's what they sell for.
I did the same and now today they're 5.99. So I got 5 more boxes. I mean at this point it's cheaper to fire these than range ammo and at least these CAN expand. People walking around here like a 22 won't make them leak all their life juice let alone a 9mm
@@Taakamancer a rusted out ford focus with 1 window can get you from point a to point b, but dosen't mean that everyone has to have junk. You need to change your prospective in life or you'll always be right where you are!
@@GunActivities365 I don't think it's my perspective that's the issue. It's wannabe gravy seals that always seem to have the issue. I never said anything about ccwing the ammo however for the price they're reasonable enough target ammo that lets you practice with hollow points for cheaper than normal. Regardless of any of that you can end somebody with a slingshot, do you think that a lower quality 9mm round is just going to bounce off of you?
@@Taakamancer you should be practing with Normal range ammo and practicing with the exact round that you carry.... if you don't understand why that is there's nothing I myself can do to help you...👍🏿
Let's test your theory you stand in front of it and let's see what happens personally I don't want to be the it with any type of bullets
What in the autism did i just read😂
No testing done in this video. Just talk. Just some BS.
@@ShepherdsSheepdog lol ligma
I guess I shouldn't shoot once
Bro, it takes no time to wash your hands, nobody's impressed
Lol BRO you should be a MAN and get your hands dirty. You will quickly find out that your hands get stained from grease and oil and they don't come clean from simply washing them.
You have experience then do t talk
Nice youtube channel you have...👍🏾
It's already been tested. Here you go.

Summary is that it actually performed quite well but you do need a compact barrel length or longer.
