Thanks for sharing you ideas with us Thorrk. I went 4-1 in a store Showdown and took second this weekend with your previous list. I didn't drop a game until the finals. In the 3-0 match against Sabine on turn 2 he dropped Red 3 while I had a Falcon in hand. Its such a hard counter that I knew the game was over.
Love your videos and analysis! Your video last time made me want to run a Han deck (but I am going red instead of green). I know you are going to do amazing in this tournament like you did last time! Hope for the best and do amazing mate!
1. How often do you deploy leader Han 'straight away'. Or is it often a considered decision depending on the matchup where you sometimes deploy for a final push or to stabilise after threats are removed? 2. How often do you Han hero power and what are the key instances/examples that force your hand to engage it?
It's a good idea, personnaly I find the extra card given by Skirmisher to be too important to pass. I find the 6/6 stat line a bit redundant with Han (unit)
Love to see the Liberator gunship and syndicate lackeys, i think they fits perfect againts aggro and boba too. Strafing gunship or mercenary company, maybe the next updates? :)
I love Merc. Company in my Han. Good backup plan in case your can is DOA or can be surprising for an opponent waiting for you to climb to 7R. I also thought about Strafing Gunship, but like the Liberator one better (Ambush from U-Wing)
Thanks!!! Just got second in my 32p store showdown with strong players from my region, swiss went smooth winning a boba and a tie with blue vader. On top8 won sabine, blue Iden and lost finals vs Vader blue, but I totally felt I really had a good shot if I knew the matchup and how to properly use the side. Any tips on this particular MU?Thank you again!
How impactfull do you see the admiral ackbar? I am tempted to get rid of it completely, for the same cost you could get the homestad militia, that whould be relevant almos always. I feel ackbar is only for the space fight to end a ship that fighted the bright hope, and some other edge cases... but the homestead sentinel... makes easier to get a sentinel out of a uwing , wich is a lot of times what you want to see
what do you think of Mercenary Company? 6/5/5 with Ambush & Overwhelm won me some games (last few damage after attacking a sentinel). It’s not typically played in Han so people don’t play around it and sometimes I am baiting people, who think I will be waiting on Han’s turn to get to 7 and play Han-unit and I play Merc Comp turn earlier instead. It kills Sabine and Boba-unit (and lives to tell the tale) and give base damage if attacking unit that is something small.
Hi Thorrk. Play tested about 30 games against green sab deck. Air issue for sure solved...now I am getting hammered by K2S0/for a cause. It is hard to even get to 8 to get the walkers out.
Hello !
Would t Strafing serve your purpose better than Auzituck? I know it costs one more and no ambush (although one could consider ECL with it). But it has the flexibility of helping with space or ground.
@@Thorrk_THT I want to see you do some challenges! Maybe something like a gauntlet, where you and another top player pit the top meta decks against each other with a points system!
I want to see that Han Blue deck that made the top cut the weekend! (That tourney had a lot of Han's and the top Green Han just copied the last version of your deck). I have tried a lot of Blue Han of late (fun to play) and the only bad matchup is against Aggro. Currently, there is not a lot of tools in hero blue and yellow, like a cheap sentinel or good early game trader. Han Green has better tools and whilst less interesting in general (it kinda builds itself), it is interesting to see the tweaks people are making to their decks. Han has a high ceiling and I am excited to see what the future holds for Han!
My current opinion is that Han Green is superior than Han blue in almost every way: Home One -> redemption Battlefield marine -> arc-170 U-wing -> Luke (as much as I love Luke) Bright Hope-> kanan The only thing where blue is better is: Obiwan -> Skirmisher But most importantly Han blue is missing Ressupply which is in my opinion the best card in the deck after U-wing. Blue removals package is fine but I would rather have traiterous to fight against Boba. With that being said I will keep an open mind and give another try to Han blue, especially if it keeps pulling consistent results. As I mention in my video about deckbuilding: always be ready to unlearn what you think you know!
@@Thorrk_THT Yes, agree as things stand green has better and more consistent cards. Blue is fun with the force users and force cards. You can drop some good 3/4 drops (Ezra, Yoda, Kanan - they become beasts with Lightsabers - but again very sad to removal / tapping them out) and then in the Han turn Luke...But like you say green just kinda has better drops anyway on curve and U-Wing (potential 2-3 problems) is a more consistent good play than Luke (1 card to counter).
Have you thought about adding Bounty Hunter Crew to your deck (in order to bounce a U-Wing Reinforcement to your hand) or is the penalty to extreme in this case?
I came up against 3 Hans at an event on Saturday! Felt like my opponents were having lots of fun playing the deck. What do you think to an out of aspect OB or two? Got caught off guard with those in one match up.
Escort skiff is quite redundant with Skirmisher also quite hard to turn on we don't play that many early game green unit. Gamo guards is fine but if I was going to play a big sentinel on the ground I would prefer Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a decent option to further improve the aggro MU, but I prefer syndicate lackey that work vs aggro and boba a bit better.
Also, I know you made a case against Shoot First but I swear by it, especially against aggro and the mirror. I swapped it out for Traitorous and never went back. Being able to spend one resource to kill an unit and then have enough resources to play another unit is devestating for the opponent. I even used it as a finisher in one match when I was one damage off lethal and no surprise strike in hand. It's side boarded vs. hard control, but otherwise, it's a maindeck for me.
Hi, thanks for the deck, I used the previous iteration on nearly 50 players store showdown and managed to get top4. Just one question out of curiosity, did you compare Liberator Gunship to Strafing Gunship? You value ambush more than flexibility to target ground as well?
@@DietrichSz Change of heart is very good against Control deck that play a lot of units, but not so good against the unit less control deck we have seen. Hello few questions about some units, why no: *Rogue Operative: 4 health for 3 that can be out turn 1 for a secured resupply without loosing the board turn 2 *Ezra : 4 body for 3 and pssibility to draw, cheat actions * gamorrean guards: sentinel to protect Han from ECL *R2/C3PO: for the draw and the 4 body *Fleet lieutnant: for the action cheat and boost on droids *Wing leader: for the boost on uWing I love your deck, i'm testing as much as i can but not enough IMO, hence wondering if you alreaDy have a strong opinion on all those options, 1 by 1. Cunning out of aspect is good , but I tend to avoid playing non unit card unless necessary. Mill decks are control deck, so you deal with them just like any other control deck
Great update. And I'm glad we've come to a lot of the same conclusions (You just liked my post on FB I tagged you in about my 7-0 weekend!) Putting 3 Sparks main deck, while cutting Mon Mothma [and Ackbar down]. My post on FB had 2 Mothma and 3 Ackbar for my Saturday event, but after my 3-0 locals yesterday, I cut them both down to 1. And was looking for replacements. Tonight is my store showdown and it's sadly a Best of 1 event, which will make my choices a bit more interesting. Right now, I'm thinking for this style of event to lean a bit more into the toolbox nature of the deck and main deck 1 Prepare for Takeoff & 2 Gunships over those 2 Ackbar I'm cutting (I also realized that we are terrible in space without Falcon and def would have lost to a Leia if I didn't traitorous a buffed Green Squadron). I also don't run Ace, and I think 1 Lackey's in the main deck will be a solid choice for me for this. My next debate is if my 2-1 Home One/Reinforcement Walker split is good or if I should honestly use 1 Home One and 2 Walker for this Best of 1. That's my big debate with myself. My only question to you is why did you cut Change of Heart? For this best of 1 event, I'm thinking of keeping my 1 in the Main Deck. I find it such a clutch way to close out games by stealing those big ships. And even main Unitless control decks run Avenger and such to close out games, this way they don't fully rely on Mill. I only won my event yesterday because I had 28 damage on the Vader/Green base and he was in full control by this point, but I took Initiative and Change of Heart on his Ruthless Raider, which meant I won even if he killed it (and he could have).
I took Han Green to a 40 person case tournament on Saturday and took 8th place going 4-3. Two of my three losses were the Han Green mirror. Those matchups felt incredibly luck based. 3/4 of my games seemed to come down to my opponent hitting their ramp and U-Wings before/instead of me. I only had one really close game and I had them on 4 HP for like 3-4 rounds and just kept drawing nothing to help me close. Do you have any advice on how to play the mirror to make it less RNG? I feel like I wasnt mulliganing aggressively enough or that I needed to try and play greedier, because playing a normal gameplan just wasnt working.
Absolutely yes it deals with a lot of threat that cannot be dealt with otherwise, and works perfectly into our tempo gemplan. Without waylay the deck would concede on A-wing + wing leader and would have a terrible MU against Luke green.

2. How often do you Han hero power and what are the key instances/examples that force your hand to engage it?
1. it really depends on the MU , the more answer they have the less often I will try.
2. On average 2, between 1 to 3 times per game
