The Juggernaut is a large, asymmetrical, wishbone-shaped craft, with a central section between two horns, which bend upwards. It has numerous tunnels that go off to many places. It has three large openings near ground level between two horns, leading into the ship's interior. The interior of the Juggernaut resembles more a living organisim than a spacegoing vessel, with skeletal walls, circular gangways and steep passages.

Most epic scene in the movie is when the Engineer activates the ship.
The best scene is one we didn't get, specifically the one where the engineer arrives at the spot where the Earth was and drops out of Warp to find empty space. Seems that the maps were last updated 2000 years ago and the entire solar system isn't there anymore. Worse, the system used to update the maps doesn't exist anymore.

@@fantoto Since this scene doesn't exist because of the collision with Prometheus, it's a speculation. Something drastic happened to the Engineers because of the amount of time the last one spent in the freezer.
@@fantoto Without getting too technical, a phenomenon called "galactic drift" and "galactic oscillation" means that the Earth isn't where it was when the Engineers Juggernaut was last powered up. So...did David go to Planet 4 by design or did he get lucky?
The coolest alien I’ve ever seen
This scene is just made of pure art.
I wonder what HR Giger would have felt when he saw that scene. He designed and made the original Space Jockey with his own hands (along with some sculptors), I guess that after the original sculpture was destroyed, he never expected to see it again, nor in movement on sceen.

It looks like a dead elephant with a human rib cage. But yes, it is creepy.
i would assume he would be pissed considering they changed his design to fit the retconned idea of what an engineer is with prometheus. They ruined the space jockeys in later films.

well, seeing the shitty feedback Alien vs Predator movies got i doubt they'd be eager on expanding to more stuff like that or different universes again anytime soon. There was a comic between fight between the 2 species and it was heavily one sided fight for the Engineer, human saved the predator by joining in the fight, predator drops nuke and runs away and returns for the skull.
Avp doesn’t exist in this universe. Those movies were just a showdown of who’s the more superior species out of the two. They don’t matter.
Beautiful scene, but it always bothered me that the engineer suited up in the pilot chair looked smaller and more mechanical than the large organic space jockey from Alien 1979. Perhaps the engineers could still be separate from the Jockeys. Hopefully the third prequel could tie everything together.
the original one from alien is supposed to be a corpse, that has been rotting for some time, the engineers make things out of organic materials, so the suit rots aswell.

I wonder when the Engineer gets the SJ suit on, does it increases their height? They seem bigger with the suit, so they might be closer to the size of the Alien 1979 SJ.
they do increase a bit, but not enough to be the same height as the SJ in 1979

I disliked the film and hated this part in particular. I'm not sure, but I think I liked it when they were mysterious, biomechanical creatures utterly unlike us or anything we know. They seemed more... alien, adding to the sense of mystery and discomforting atmosphere of the first film. Whatever the Space Jockey was, he clearly belonged to a highly advanced race, and yet he died from the threat that then came to face the much less advanced travelers on the Nostromo. I feel like some of that atmosphere has been removed from the film in retrospect, and that seems like a shame.
The travelers on the nostromo didn’t have much luck either: and the alien that killed the engineer was far make bigger and dangerous than the xeno

Veo que muchos se quejan de que los spacejockey no eran lo que imaginaban y que por eso odian Prometeo, pero creo ese era el punto, tenemos esa idea de un dios creador y que este es benevolente, de tal forma y aformamos que no puede ser de tal forma porque no sería entonces un dios etc pero la verdad aveces puede ser decepcionante, y eso fue lo que hizo prometeo, darte esa decepcion pues nos entrego que ese posible ser misterioso y benevolente realmente no quería a la humanidad, asi que yo vi Prometeo de esa forma, te da una respuesta decepcionante con cierta intención, de tal forma que dices "era mejor no saberlo".

No its not. Same species though. There is a size discrepancy but what's neat about the Engineers is given their mastery over genetics there's probably a crazy amount of variation.

From the screenplay, the ship was capable of Warp Six but it's not detailed as to how the FTL works.
