Good observation! I think sci-fi often gets harsher critiques because it demands a solid storyline, a well-built world, and often expensive effects that need to be convincing. Horror, on the other hand, gets more leeway as long as it can evoke strong emotions. Do you have any favorite sci-fi titles you think were unfairly judged?
It's what's inside, sci fi'sh wasn't too bad. So long as you can keep up twists, rapid changes, and sometimes confusing scenes, and you're still breathing at the end, due its frenetic pace, you might like it too.
Sounds like something that keeps you on edge from start to finish! Sometimes that "crazy" pace and unexpected twists really pull you in. Do you enjoy movies that throw you into the deep end, or do you sometimes prefer something a bit calmer?
Sounds like the start of an intriguing quote! Is it from a movie, book, or your own thought? I’d love to hear what’s behind that 'BLANK' and 'WHATEVER'!
Absolutely! Slingshot really had that peak fiction energy-it combined creativity, intensity, and storytelling in a way that’s hard to forget. The concept was wild, but it worked so well. What stood out to you the most-the characters, the action, or just the sheer originality?
Not necessarily! Some hidden gems fly under the radar because they don’t get big marketing budgets or mainstream attention. Sometimes, the unknown ones turn out to be the most creative and unique. Have you ever stumbled across a lesser-known movie that completely blew you away?

These movies seem like the best of mediocrity, the description is almost the same for each of them - terrrible! I'm not gonna see any. Has this been written by AI? Awful video
Thanks for your honesty-I appreciate all feedback. I create all the descriptions and content myself because I’ve been passionate about cinema for years and love sharing it with others. However, I understand that the style or selection might not resonate with everyone. Do you have any suggestions for movies you think deserve more attention?
@@bestmovies-wg1rq If you like these movies, and it is your own writing, then I'd suggest that you focus on what makes each movie unique, and what you specificly liked about it. Not a generalised thing like - "and revealing the human conflict in the family, the society the man, whatever" like you ended each description. As for finding obscure movies from 2024 - I'm not into that at all, sorry, that is what You like to do ;)

Maybe so, but sometimes those lesser-known movies can be real hidden gems! They might lack big budgets but make up for it with creativity. Do you ever give them a shot, or do you prefer sticking to well-known hits?
@@bestmovies-wg1rq I'm a little older than most. My Sci-Fi love affair began on the written page with Arthur Clarke and Isaac Asimov before moving to Stanley Kubrik and George Lucas in the 70s. All of the movies in this clip you made are neither gems nor original. All of them are fairly average or poor rip offs of older films, older books or short stories. I do not watch much big budget movies, I have not watched a single Super Hero movie other than the very early ones, I find them tedious and pointless. Except for Deadpool. There are a few low budget gems hiding out there, just none of the ones you chose to put in your video. With the exception of the new Dune films, Hollywood has forgotten how to make movies and certainly forgotten how to make good Sci-Fi. There are some decent TV shows, Silo, Dark, The Exspanse and Andor but as for full length movies you need to go back many years to find the hidden gems. Solaris, Stalker, Gattaca and Dark City to name a few. In answer to your question, yes, I have given them a shot, I wasn't able to finish any of them. Poorly made, poorly acted, gratuitous DEI and nothing original in terms of their story.

I get your disappointment, especially if you were expecting something space-related. It’s frustrating when a movie promises one thing but delivers something entirely different. Have you seen anything recently that lived up to your expectations?
Good catch! While AI can help streamline content creation, it sometimes makes things sound a bit too similar or formulaic. The goal is always to make the descriptions engaging and unique. What kind of tone or style do you prefer for these kinds of write-ups?
They are OH SOOOOO European. The future is dark, dangerous, everything is falling apart, doom and gloom. I WANT movies where everything is fine at the end after the heroes put in a lot of effort. I see and read POISON daily in the news and I am NOT going to watch it for "entertainment". Check Space Cowboys against all of this dark trash, how they do not even register against this movie. Check Enemy Mine space movie (remake of an older war movie) how humans and aliens reconciled their differences. There are MORE of this memorable movies. If you watch them they bring HOPE, NOT DESPAIR. I know first Blade Runner still, but the second almost zero. It means it was not good.
I totally get you! Sometimes, we get tired of dark, gloomy stories, especially when we're constantly faced with negative news. Movies like Space Cowboys and Enemy Mine really give hope, showing that after the heroes' efforts, there’s a positive outcome. Sometimes it’s just what we need to watch something uplifting. If you’re interested, I can put together a list of films that carry hope and positive messages!
